Didn't take enough pictures! Definitely adding this to one of my favorite crab spots. Being from DC/MD, we all know how seriously we take our blue crabs...and The Point delivered! I wanted to rate 5 stars, but not offering reservation service, in my opinion, is a disservice. You will literally have to arrive when the restaurant opens to get a seat; otherwise, 1.5 - 2 hour wait. The Point sits on the water where you can sail in with your boat. While the water isn't Caribbean blue, it's still pretty. The vibes are definitely there. We indulged in a dozen XL crabs and goodness! They were packed with meat. Sweet! Another critique is that if you sit in the bar area, be prepared to walk up to the bar to place your drink and other orders. Not sure why that's a thing, but I didn't like it. Will be back for sure. Visited this spot for a family dinner, and it was okay. It was busy, and we added our name to the waitlist. However, there is nowhere to really stand and wait, so we had to wait outside in the freezing cold. The wait was also a lot longer than the estimate given that we almost left to go to another restaurant. Then once inside, it was so cold! There was only one area where the heater really warmed up the restaurant. You could tell everyone was just uncomfortably cold and wearing their coats and outside gear inside to try to stay warm. I got the chicken & biscuits as it was recommend by the server. However, it was so dry. It was hard to get through and eat. If I came back, I'd definitely get something else and wait until it was warm out. read more

Really cute spot with tons of seating right on the water. Good spot for large groups, however they do not split checks. Drinks were great--I had a watermelon refresher! I also really loved the whipped feta. Service was painfully slow, though. It took almost 20 minutes just to put in drink orders, and despite us having a large group, the server refused to take food orders at the same time as apps, so it was a longggg process of ordering a round of drinks, then apps, then food. read more

I was visiting with my college friends on Friday and we went to The Point for dinner. It was rainy so we couldn't sit outside, but the views looked great! Our waiter, Kenny, gave us some great recommendations of items to split. We went with 2 flatbreads: pear and prosciutto and bbq shrimp. The bbq shrimp one was my favorited loaded with my flavor. The pear one was lighter but still super fresh. We also got wings, crab dip, and friend pickles. The wings were crispy and juicy, and they had a great ranch on the side. I don't love fried pickles normally but these were thick cut and had a nice coating. Looking forward to going back when the weather is nicer! read more

Father's Day Dinner I've been to my share of crab houses and I must say, this is one of the best. We had large crabs, crab cake sandwich, mussels, fried pickles and crab dip. The crabs were absolutely delicious, sweet and meaty. It was my first time having fried pickles and they were great. The mussels were good and fresh, and come with toasted bread for dipping. The crab dip was tasty and comes in a bread bowl with pretzel breadsticks but has cream cheese in it in case that's a deal breaker for you. The crab cake had a good balance lump meat and filling. Hubby says he could eat it again. My spicy margarita was perfect! The service was impeccable from Abby. The ambiance was wonderful. They can pull the shades (nice feature) if the sun is too hot, which was the case for me. Watching the boats come in was serene and the weather was beautiful. Didn't hesitate to make good use of our family's hour long wait with a glass of sangria and pineapple crush. The crush was so good I barely saw it but I took my time with the sangria and had no regrets. I will say the hostess(es) here have a slight case of RBF and I noticed we had to ask for a few things I would think they might offer to guests with kids and even on our way out, they forgot to give guests bags for our various leftovers (which is small but just something I noticed as we were struggling). Even still, the wait moved fast and the food was so good. The crab soup and crostinis were delightful and everything you'd expect. The crabs were a crowd pleaser and our fish & chips fell apart beautifully. You can't complain too much with the view that they have and people are able to do many water sports nearby but still worth it to mention because it's not a cheap check. I came for my birthday. The point has traditionally been a 10/10 on crab cakes, usually the best in the world. This time the crab cakes were only 9.2/10, which for the money, you expect more. Jumbo lump crab dip needed more crab but had incredible taste. I will definitely give the point another shot. Traditionally the crab cakes are unbelievable and I will give it another chance. The atmosphere is perfect for Maryland Only heads up--if you're coming for the large or XL crabs, get here EARLY. We arrived around 3:00 on a Sunday and they were already sold out, so we had mediums. Sweet spot at the marina for lunch. Came here in the middle of winter but bet it's a hoppin' place during the summer with all the outdoor seating. Put your name on the waitlist online ahead of time! Wait was quoted 45 to an hour and was almost exactly 45 minutes, but we didn't mind waiting. I ordered the cod fish tacos and these were delicious! They are absolutely messy to eat, but they're very good. There was live music on a Wednesday which was cute. The server didn't come over much once we had our food, so the only thing I didn't love was how long it took to get the check and boxes. Otherwise, was super cute and delish! read more

This is a cute little local spot in Arnold. It's got a big bar scene going on and definitely is a local hotspot for the town. The hostess was friendly and you can add yourself to the waitlist via Yelp but make sure to check in. The ceviche , isn't really ceviche. The shrimp didn't seem cured and was fishy (never a good sign). The fried pickles were good, but also hard to mess up right? The crab cakes were good, and the French fries weren't crispy but more soggy and way over seasoned. We also had the fish and chips, it was very very fried and way less about the quality of taste of the fish. No vinegar was offered or to be had. Drinks are cheap, coming in at 10 dollars for a cocktail so very cheap for today's day and age. It's fine if you're visiting in the area for a very casual bite but nothing to seek out.they only had medium crabs left at 6pm so we passed on that experience. read more

$46.00 No Way!!! The local tomato Stilton-cheese crumble crab cake salad. This has always been on the summer menu never has it been $46. The waitress told us that it was back on the menu, but it's as a special because they have not updated the summer menu yet. We ordered it when We went back June 10th 2025. Since the summer menu was not printed out yet we ordered it. It's very good but this was $46.00 and it's not worth that for 1 crab cake and 4 slices of tomatoes with Stilton cheese crumbles. Ambiance is good this rating is mainly for no communication on how expensive this dish was. It was never this expensive last year. And I can't qualify ordering this at this new price hike. read more

There are white tents, yellow warm string lights and wooden tables. Service is really nice and this pier is tucked in a beautiful neighborhood. OK, I'm giving up one of my secret places that I go to often. This place is so unassuming it's propped in a residential area where you will for sure think doesn't exist, but it does. It's like going to the beach and hanging out at one of tried and true round the way little spots, but better. it's a laid-back casual place where boats can dock and folks can enjoy great seafood. My wife and I stopped in the other day because it was so nice outside we wanted to have an outdoor lunch on the water. We had not been to The Point in over a year so we thought we'd stop in for a great view with some great food. Unfortunately all we got was a great view. The Point Burger: When I ordered The Point Burger our server said that it comes Medium-Rare so I asked for Medium. After two bites it was obvious this was not medium. There was No warm pink center and there was no burger juice from the meat being cooked as the meat was raw. I placed my sandwich on one of the extra plates and set it to the side. I finished the Caesar Side Salad that I had upgraded and it was okay. The croutons were fresh and lightly crisp but there was so little dressing I felt like I was just eating lettuce for most of my bites. In hindsight I should of also not eaten the salad and asked for additional dressing. After almost 10 minutes the server came over and asked if something was wrong. I let her know that I felt the burger was under cooked and seamed to me to be raw inside. She came back with the same patty I'd taken a bite out of but this time it was hot and juicy while a tad over cooked but that was okay at this point. I think they were trying to make sure it wasn't undercooked. Steak Sandwich: I wish I'd taken a picture of this as well. Since we had an issue with the burger my wife didn't say anything about her sandwich as she didn't want to be "that couple" that complains about the whole meal. The menu says the steak is 7oz but it looked a tad too thin for that and was overcooked from the medium my wife requested. It almost looked and tasted pre-cooked? It wasn't hot and there was definitely not a warm pink center. Just a pink line in the center surround by gray meat. The bread was also way too thick for such a thin steak so the bread to meat ratio was off. The tomato tasted great and was sliced thicker than the steak to give you context. All in all very disappointed as we spent over a hundred dollars and came away with a less than average culinary experience. read more

Food & service were good! We went for a late lunch around 2:30pm. The restaurant had the sides closed and it was nice and toasty inside. We ordered drinks. My husband ordered the "754" IPA which he said was good. I got the "gin & jam" Which was very heavy on the gin and not a whole lot of the berry jam flavor. I didn't order a second. Fried pickles always hit the spot here. Only place I know that does thick slices like that. Not spears or pickle chips. Oysters were great! They had your typical horseradish and cocktail sauce. But they also had vinegar & onion sort of garnish that you could add on top. That was fun! Baltimore girl here and never had that served w oysters. It was good! Soup was okay. Nothing to rave about. The fried cornbread dessert was actually really good. Server said it sounds funny but is good so we got it, two pieces of fried cornbread w ice cream in the middle. Berry and caramel sauce on the plate. Wonderful way to end a belated Valentine's Day lunch. We will certainly be back. read more
