We joined the waitlist on the app and were told it would be 10-20 minutes. This was perfect as it gave enough time to get across town before the wait time was up. When we arrived we checked in on the app and waited another ten minutes with no text to come in. We decided to go check on it and the hostess said we were next on the list and would be called in a minute or two. That turned into another ten minutes and two tables were seated before us even though we were told we were next. It appears the 10-20 minute wait time did not actually start until we sent the text that we had arrived, which defeats the purpose of joining the waitlist on the app. Once we were finally seated our waitress Zoe came and took our drink and food orders. Everything seemed fine at that time but it took several minutes for her to come back with our drinks and then asked if we had ordered yet because she couldn't remember. We quickly discovered that she only had two tables in the entire crowded restaurant, ours and the one behind us. She stood at the table behind us and chatted for over 20 minutes while the other waitresses ran around like crazy. A different waitress brought the salad for the table she was talking to and then shortly after that another waitress brought the food for the table behind us while Zoe was still standing there talking to them. We had ordered several minutes before that table did and Zoe would have had no idea if our food was up because she was ignoring everything except that table. She did finally walk away when they started to eat and brought us our food but then went right back to that table and chatted some more with them. Luckily we didn't need much but we wouldn't have gotten anything if we had needed it. Zoe asked us once if we wanted more bread but we waited at least 30 minutes for food. She didn't check on our drinks until we were almost done eating. In the hour that we were in the restaurant we probably only had 3 minutes total of interaction with our waitress. I felt awful for the other waitresses who were clearly working very hard with several tables while Zoe stood around getting paid to talk. Her behavior was very unprofessional. I tried to pay online to not have to deal with Zoe anymore but the website wouldn't give me a button to submit my payment so I had to wait for Zoe so we could pay and get out of there. I wish I knew the names of some of the other waitresses who were there so I could give them the kudos they deserve but I wasn't able to catch any of them as they all walked by too fast to read their name tags. If I go back to this location, and Zoe is my waitress I will leave. I'm giving two stars because the food was delicious but the service was so horrible that I don't know if the food can make up for that. read more

Normally this place is amazing but for some reason tonight that is not the case. You'd figure on a Monday night with service being lower it would be the perfect time to eat, that is anything but true. The service was awful, the food took forever, and the food wasn't even cooked correct. Great steak cuts! Lean and tender. Not cheap, but it is steak you're paying for so... Only complaint is the music is often too loud. The waitress couldn't hear or orders and talking to someone who want seated right next to you was or of the question. Rolls and butter are to die for. read more

My husband & I enjoy T R when we get the chance. Staff is friendly & ready to serve. Husband usually gets a steak & is happy with his meal. The manager comes by to see how things are & if meal is good. Nice touch. The only complaint is the music is too loud & so COLD in establishment. Makes enjoying your meal almost unbearable! This place is Great. No really. I'm not a big fan of chains, but for Quincy, I'll make an exception. Our server, Becky, was a sweetheart. She was attentive, enthusiastic and considerate. Much better than what I would expect from a chain. Their bread here is ridiculous. Sweet, soft and chewy. And then there's the honey, cinnamon butter which is a crime. It's really amazing. Our blossom onion was ok. I've been to an Outback Steakhouse before so it's nothing special. What I'm absolutely blown away by is the prices! A 20oz ribeye for $21? Are you kidding me? A 23oz porterhouse for $23? I've never seen prices this low. And believe me the steaks are delicious. And they come with 2 gigantic sides. I would come here again. It might be my go to for a nice steak dinner in Quincy. It definitely lacks in ambiance compared to Budaloo, but the value is there. read more

Came here a couple weeks ago with my 2 young kids on a Thursday; we got a seat right away... unfortunately getting our food was another story. We had only ordered one adult meal & the other 2 were kids meals, it took over an hour even though the place was half empty. The waitress forgot our requests 3 different times, I thought maybe it was on off night as I hadn't been here in awhile. Decided to come back on a Saturday at 2:15 in the afternoon. 2 kids, 2 adults. The wait was over an hour for everyone-no matter if there was 2 people or more. There were empty tables throughout the entire place, not sure why the wait was so incredibly long-this is exactly what happened last time, not a full place & ridiculously slow!! Again, food took over an hour for every table. Meanwhile, there's 2 people working the front passing rolls which is very noticeably a waste of one employee that could be helping elsewhere where it's slow! I probably will not be back & definitely would not recommend eating there with young children because you will be there all afternoon or all night. Absolutely horrible! read more

My experience at this Texas Roadhouse was very bad. My burger was well done, I asked for it medium. Somehow, it was cold. The middle was lukewarm. Someone at the table received a steak. It was supposed to be medium, but was raw. It got sent back to be recooked, and when it came back it was still raw. There was also a weird vein in the middle of it. Very gross. I was just trying to enjoy a lunch with my elderly grandparents and it was ruined. Very sad. Good service though read more

I get Covid is going on. But coming in yesterday and it was crowded. There didn't seem to be an order to keep everyone away from each other. We left, it was way to many people, so we ordered instead. And I regret that deeply. We waited for our food after we had texted we were there. It said to stay in your car until we txt back that your food was ready at the window. We waited for half an hour. After waiting an half hour, I called. And the girl on the phone was to rude. She did let me know that my good had been up on the counter for awhile now. And no one told me! So went in and got it, went home to eat. Not all of my order was there. At this point I was very upset. I pay 50.00 for a dinner for two and received the crappiest meal in return. Very busy but typical for a Saturday night. Call ahead is the way to go; wait time was less than ten minutes. Service was great, food was good. With a full restaurant the load music made it impossible to carry on a decent conversation. Plus it wouldn't be all that hard for the staff to utilize quality assurance when wrapping the silverware; a table of four had no less three with dirty/caked on food stuff on the utensils. read more

Horrible system of call ahead waiting. We called ahead. Wait time given was 1 1/2 hours for 5 people. After 1hr 45 minutes we asked when we would be seated. We were told there were still 2 tables ahead of us. After another 30 minutes we asked how much longer it would be and were told there were 3 tables ahead of us. When we questioned how it could go from 2 to 3 the hostess gave a complicated answer about how we were assigned a table when we made our wait list reservation and until the people sitting at that table left we would have to wait. When we questioned that weird explanation she then told us that people making a wait list call from home before coming in would be ahead of us. We still didn't an explanation that made any sense to us so we just left and went home and ordered a pizza. The pizza from Tower was ready within 40 minutes for pickup. As we were eating we finally received a text from Texas Road house telling us our table was ready . Don't waste your time trying to eat here!!! I feel sorry for the hostess that has to deal with this lousy system and the irate people like us. read more

I've eaten here before but tonight didn't sit well with me. I did the call ahead seating for 12. The hostess checks with manager and no problem. We arrive at 4:40 for the 4:45 time. They tell us we can't seat you because we don't have a server. Tells me also that one server can't take two tables of six. More people come in and are seated right away. Finally we're seated at one table and we have one server. Not sure where the breakdown was.. but please get your story straight. Crowded and noisy, but it's a fun atmosphere. Wait staff is young, enthusiastic, and very friendly, Andrew, our waiter was a delight. I had the 11 oz. sirloin and my wife had the barbecue chicken, both were excellent. The above deserves 5 stars, however we were seated at a wobbler table, which was annoying. I pointed this out to our waiter, Andrew, I'm sure he will fix it. Great food, but request a booth. read more

The worst Texas Roadhouse EVER! Called in a to go order. I was told 20 mins. I arrive 25 mins later and was told by Alana she FORGOT to put in my order. Umm say what?! When I questioned how that happened she said she didn't care and walked off. I am standing there shocked and another waitstaff person asks me if i have been helped. Umm no I haven't. So manager Zack comes over and proceeds to enter the order. No apology but comps the food. So I guess Alana's behavior is OK. He throws in a dessert also. I heard wonderful thing about TRH and was excited for some delish bbq. When we got there, there was a wait with 3 or 4 people ahead of us and we requested a table, not a booth. We waited at least an hour to be seated which is rediculous considering the constant stream of people leaving. Come to find out they have so few tables and those people weren't leaving causing our wait. Why so few tables in such a large capacity restaurant?? Once seated we ordered food. My sister ordered ribs and I ordered a ribeye then we were going to split them so we both had steak and ribs. I had been craving ribs for months so I was ready to dig in! What a disappointment.. the bones didn't have much meat on them and the sauce didn't have much flavor. The Ribeye was good although my sister was not impressed with it. Beyond the food, it was incredibly loud in the restaurant and when walking in the isle I had to keep dodging staff racing past me or become roadkill. At one point there was such a traffic jam in their narrow isles I was pushed up against a booth of other patrons for at least 3 minutes while they tried to eat. I was forced to invade their personal space which I find inexcusable and I was embarrassed. I don't think I'll be returning. read more

I'm giving a 2 because I came here last week and it was excellent. Today was another story. 6 of 8 of us had overlooked meals. 20 minutes after we were originally given food the other showed up. Our waitress seemed annoyed but the manager even agreed the meat was not cooked properly. Maybe this is a normal occurrence for the waitress... It just opened so maybe the cook isn't experienced with the temperatures. Either way it'll be awhile before we give them another chance. read more

Yeah I've never been a fan of Texas Roadhouse, but this one is probably the worst I've been to. I've been here a couple times before and loved the food! Service hasn't been an issue until this last time. I knew it was going to be bad when the waitress started off by saying it might take awhile to get drinks and they better hope they all don't quit or they'll have to shut down to retrain. Also, she wanted to punch her boss in the face! After ordering drinks, 20 minutes later she was boot kicking and had still not received drinks. One of our group called for her to tell us we hadn't gotten drinks yet and she said sorry, her boss thinks it's more important to dance to to get the drinks! Felt sorry for her, don't know if that's true or not, but not good. We left and went to Kelly's. Hopefully this was a one time thing, but management didn't seem to care we left after waiting 40 minutes for a table. read more

Took a very long time for our server to come take our order, we had ANTS CRAWLING ON THE TABLE, manager came over and said well I can move you to another table after stating that ants had been a issue lately but not at the table we were sitting at. This Texas RoadHouse restaurant had a dirty restroom, no tp, a complete stranger help me out as he stall was out of tp. Server never came back to our table to refill water, longest wait for a nonbusy restuarant for a Wednesday evening, plates never cleared off table, food took like an hour to get to us. My husband and I eat there last night 1/15/2021. They were busy but had plenty of staff. When we arrived we were sat in a section that the waitress had 3 tables, 1 already was eating , 2 already had their orders in. She got our drinks within 5 mins, no rolls, about 20 mins after we ordered we got our salads brought out by someone else, never offered to refill are drinks. Right after salads within mins we got out our steaks sat there for about 15 more mins finally saw our waitress that we had to get her attention bc my husband needed steak sauces and show them that my steak was burnt (ordered medium well). She takes it back with the side to fix it. The manager brings it the steak out way after he's done eating seats it on the table I asked where my side was. She didn't say a word walks away we ask the waitress for a box and our ticket we were done at this point. 15 mins later she brings out my side for my cold steak that I didn't eat and a box. I will never go back again. They didn't ask any questions or anything. Needless to say I paid for a $20 steak that went to the trash. The waitress was rude as well as the manager. I work in food years ago and have never wrote a review bc I understand what it's like. However it was so unprofessional and rude. I was not looking for a free meal but to at least acknowledge the bad situation would of been nice. read more

Update as of March 2017. This place has taken a real nose dive over the past several months. We've been here when the dishwasher is broken, and they won't pay service company to fix at higher weekend rates (per the servers), soda machine broken (and same story). The service is still acceptable, but the food is completely inconsistent. Sometimes warm or cool, other times hot. Sometimes very fatty, sometimes lean. Ribs will be tender and perfect one visit, the next they'll be like trying to eat a brick. Many of the best servers have left for greener pastures. Really a shame, as we were very regular customers, and ate here on their opening day. Back then it was just absolutely perfect every single time. Don't know what's gone wrong, but if they don't fix it quick, they'll be put out to pasture like an old cow! read more

Sooooooo... this Texas Roadhouse in Quincy has disappointed me this evening. I went out with co workers for dinner waited 15 minutes. I guess that's normal for a Monday night.. considering it's a national holiday. Shalimar was so nice.. we ordered dinner and come to find out that they are out RIBS (the only item on the menu I come to eat). She informed me that their truck didn't come today. So she gave me a moment to reconsider my dinner options (it's been 8 minutes and 30 seconds now); she still hasn't returned. So my coworker goes to get help from the kitchen. Wait a minute.... Manager Cass has come over to the table to see what I decided for dinner. So.. chicken tenders will suffice. So I also inquired about the dinner rolls that we asked Shalimar for. Cass says we don't have any more; they were on the truck that didn't come today. I was immediately furious and ready to leave due to the poor planning. But was considerate of my coworkers. Why is it that they were not prepared for today... New Year's Day comes the same day every year. Furthermore, the manager or waitress didn't attempt to do anything to recover from the situation. read more

We went here in October 2015 on a Saturday evening. The waitress was very nice. Texas Roadhouse is our favorite resturant and we have been to several of them. The Quincy resturant is dirty. Our seats were full of food. The waitress also had to wipe off our table was not completely clean. The bathrooms were not clean and the floors were greasy. I was served my side salad in a dirty bowl that had dried cheese stuck to the edge of the bowl. We both ordered steak. We asked for A1 steak sauce and brought it to us in plastic serving cups. However it was not A1 sauce, it was a generic sauce. I actually believe it was their house brand they were trying to pass off as A1. I will not eat here again. read more

I took my granddaughter to your restraint in Quincy, IL for her 18th birthday last Monday(11-20-2017) because she had never been their. we got seated right away because they were not busy. I ordered steak med well, my son ordered the BBQ ribs and my granddaughter got the chicken with the mushrooms and cheese, The ribs was burnt, my steak was over done and like leather and my granddaughter said her chicken was dry and hard to chew. needless to say all we ate was our baked potatoes and green beans, they were good . we ordered the blue cheese dressing on our salads and it was tasteless.
