This was such a great meal, perfect for two people! It was tender and juicy, and the sauce it came with made it perfection! I got the green beans and broccoli as sides. The green beans were a bit sweet but still tasty. The broccoli was a bit raw to my tasting. Our waitress was attentive and got us 3 baskets of bread with extra butter! So yum! The ambience was good for lunch, the music wasn't too loud, and it wasn't overly crowded at this time. If you pay with card, you can pay on the device on your table. There's also QR code for the menu, there's also hand held menus on the table. If you play games on the kiosk, it does charge you $1.99

If you're looking for a solid, dependable dinner with great service, Texas Roadhouse on Midlothian delivers. I sat at the bar, which had the typical setup you'd expect--Texas country cowboy vibes all around. The bartender greeted me immediately, and the service was great throughout my visit. The prices were very reasonable, especially with the early bird happy hour deals. They had multiple meals for $11.99 and plenty of drink specials, but since I'm pretty picky, I ordered off the main menu instead. I went with a glass of Pinot Grigio, a ribeye steak (medium), a loaded baked potato, and a house salad. The salad came out first and was disappointing--it wasn't very fresh, with several wilted pieces I ended up picking out because I'm not one to send food back. The warm bread served with it was a highlight, though, as always--delicious and comforting. When my steak came out, it was a little undercooked. I ordered medium, but it leaned more towards rare. However, the staff was quick to fix it by warming it up and even giving me a fresh baked potato, which I appreciated. Next time, I'll probably order medium well at this location just to be safe. The steak was decent, though I prefer it more cooked and seasoned when the quality isn't top-tier. Portion sizes were good, and for $40 (which included my meal, drink, and tip), it's hard to complain too much. This isn't a five-star steakhouse, but for a casual and reliable dinner, it works. Would I come back? Sure will! Just don't expect gourmet quality--but you'll get great service and a satisfying meal for a fair price.

I was surprisingly impressed by my visit! We were seated after a couple minutes despite it being very busy on a Saturday night. We were given fresh rolls that were delicious and buttery. I ordered the half slab of ribs with chili and steak fries. This was a really good portion of food, and great bang for your buck. The chili was well seasoned with a tiny kick, and everyone loved it. I tried the grilled shrimp as well which was cooked perfectly and flavorful. The ribeye was cooked well too, and had a lot of flavor. Overall I was very impressed with the food. The only downfall was that our food took a while to come out, and I was also served my chili side first rather than with my dish, though i'm sure our waiter would've brought it out later if I asked. Our table agreed that this is a solid place for a casual dinner!

We used the website to get on the wait-list shortly before we arrived. As soon as we got there, they had us sit on a bench and then had us at our table within 5 minutes. The server was there shortly and brought us water while we waited for our drinks. Both of us ordered steak and they were cooked perfectly! The salad was delicious and I loved that they don't charge extra for side salads. It was fairly loud in there, but it was very busy so it was expected. Even with being so busy, everything was fast and efficient. We love Texas Roadhouse and are glad to know that no matter which one you go to, service and quality will be top notch.

Service was ok, nice and cordial, nothing special, food on the other hand, was exceptionally bad...like it has been for the last 3 visits, the bloomin onion was burnt, couldn't eat it, my steak and shrimp were cold, both cooked ok, but the bread that my shrimp rested on, was soggy soaked and yet there was still enough butter to spill on the table when waitress set it down. My baked potato was undercooked and cold, the scoop of unmelted butter was hidden under the the "bag" of cold, artificial bacon bits, at least the steak was ok, just cold. There were 4 gnats flying around our food that we were unable to catch But the kicker was, upon paying, the screen asked us if we wanted to leave a tip?, absolutely, 20% is our standard, the machine even provided percentages (see photo) I am going to refrain from commenting my opinion, there could be an honest reason for this, but I will however encourage others to check the math.

Called to place a to go order and was transferred to no one for over 12 minutes. I arrived at the restaurant to total chaos! Lobby packed a lady was complaining she called and no one answered as well for curb side. I went to place the order and it appears there is only one person who could take the order and they were no where to be found. After 12 minutes on hold. Several minutes trying to find the one and only person who could/would take my order I placed it. The staff appears to be overwhelmed, no manager in site. Placed a nice size dinner order. Porterhouse steak, house salad, appetizer ribs and of course bread. Let's see what the food entails... Advice to management- get on the floor and take care of your business and help your staff! A negative zero for today's order!

    How are the ribs?

Fall off the bone good Heather! We have a 3-day preparation process that makes sure our ribs are tender and seasoned to perfection. We then apply our signature BBQ sauce that is amazing! You should give them a try!

This used to be a place where you'd have to wait for a table every time, but now the restaurant is half empty and I see why! When I was ordering my food our server was slightly rude & I was taken aback (but you never want someone to spit in your food so I ignored it lol). As I was ordering my food she repeated my wing order to me as she was typing it in, but she did not acknowledge the fact that I asked for all flats so I said all flats again & her response was an "I heard" under her breath which others at my table noticed the rudeness associated with it as well. The wings visibly looked different but fine, however once I started moving them around, I noticed they were dry & chewy like they were over-fried, but normally when I get them they are moist with a slight char from being grilled even tough they are dry rubbed. The loaded baked potato I was a shock to me..a lot more cheese than potato and it was cold. I'm simply very unsatisfied. I took my food home with me & ended up just throwing it all away. They've still got the best blue cheese though, hope that doesn't change! I've got lots of points to use so I'm going to just try a different location & pray. My two times at Short Pump have been better than the last six-eight months at Midlo.

I've followed this brewery on social media for a few months and have noticed their pictures consistently feature pours with an inordinate amount (2-3") of head on them. As someone who absolutely hates foam, I asked up front for no head. The bartender winced and explained they had to pour that way or they'd get in trouble because the ownership "wants the aroma expressed." I was taken aback...not only by the total lack of regard for the customer but for levying that threat against an employee. I was waiting to meet someone somewhere else for dinner, and put aside my disdain and capitulated as I didn't want anyone getting in trouble over a beer. So, I figured I'd make the most of things out on the patio. Alas, you can't take glass out in the patio, only plastic cups. What?!? If this were a college bar on a Friday night, sure - pour into plastic. But happy hour in Midlothian? The bartender did say they could pour no foam for a plastic cup though, which I thought was funny - they're so precious about their beer the foam is mandatory, but yeah, just dump it in plastic for the patio. All in all, a negative experience and one I won't repeat. My advice is to give the customer what they want, don't threaten employees, and eat the cost of a few broken glasses. To be clear: I get the notion of aromas and such, but this isn't Russian River or Alchemist, or even The Veil (none of which have foam mandates). I could even understand if they were busy (I was the only one ordering), but I wouldn't have asked for a longer pour under those circumstances. The beers are average regionals and customer service and good treatment of employees are non-negotiables. I hope ownership sees this and chills out; the person who pays for the beer dictates the pour, not you.

Today was my first visit to the new location and I came away impressed!…read more The ambiance is great. The service is great. The food is great. I'm so relieved that none of those traits got left behind at the old location! There's usually a wait, but they now offer outside tables for waiting or dining. So that's a plus. And it's worth the wait. There's a new bar, so one can sit there and enjoy a drink or a meal. That's nice. There's a new (I don't know what to call it) "dessert deli"? Where all the cakes and pastries are on display and for sale. So that trapped us on our way out. :-) And there's a dedicated door for take-out only, so if you order ahead you don't need to swim upstream of the other waiting diners to get in and grab your food, Here's something really innovative: Their parking lot is on the small side. But they are adjacent to acres of parking in the shopping center. So they run a golf cart in a loop, picking up and dropping off diners who park in the satellite lot. Wow! That's service. The restaurant business is tough. And endless number of ways to fail. But the Brick House Diner is doing everything right! PS: In a time when restaurant prices seem to be out of control, BHD is doing a great job keeping prices as low as they can. For the meal I had, I've paid 10 to 25% more at other, similar venues. So, hats off to BHD for cost control!

It looks like it would be more of an upscale place, but I would say it's a normal eatery that works well for a casual lunch or something a little nicer too. I went with the soup of the day which was chicken orzo. My mom chose the lamb gyro sandwich and for her side she went with the veggie of the day which was roasted Brussels sprouts with honey. Overall I thought the food was good. It was definitely well-seasoned. The orzo in the soup was a little mushy for my preference, but the fettuccine was a good texture. The white clam sauce was loaded with clams and garlic. I really enjoyed my dish. My mom enjoyed her gyro sandwich, I did take a small taste of the lamb and it was delicious. Both on a holiday of sorts- this past time being Mother's Day. We had come in around 10:45am so we could get seated for lunch a little earlier than their lunch crowds would appear. They gave us an estimated wait time of 15 minutes. That being said- we waited 45 minutes to be seated. They were 'transferring' from breakfast to lunch (never heard of a restaurant doing that before) and did not seat anybody within that 45 minutes. They had people coming in and getting added to their list, gave them 15-30 minute wait times but then proceeded to not seat anyone else that arrived until way past the timeframes given. Once it hit 11:30 they decided to start seating everyone. And I mean everyone. They definitely did not spread out the timing of the seating so the servers they had were overwhelmed. As someone who has previous experience in the restaurant industry I know this backs up both the kitchen and the servers when doing this. So that being said- we waited for a long time at the end of our meal for the server to check in on us, give us boxes, and provide our check.
