Rolls with cinnamon butter
Susan B.

Stopped in for dinner on a Tuesday night after 6pm. We did not join the wait list and our party of four was seated right away. We were greeted with a smile and then lured us to our table with a basket of warm rolls and cinnamon butter in hand! The place seemed to be busy but everything was running smoothly. Our server was very attentive and also gave some suggestions on the menu. The dirty soda was yummy! Steaks were cooked to everyone's liking. My daughter enjoyed the mac and cheese. The cactus blossom was the go-to appetizer and it did not disappoint. We had several refills on the roll basket, just too good to eat only one! Not a place with frequent but we would definitely come back in the future.

First things first, our server Carrie was great! We brought my mom here for her birthday dinner and her steak was cooked well instead of medium and Carrie took care of it and made sure they got it right the second time and got her extra sides. The food was delicious, the only nitpicky thing is that the onion petals can't compare to the blooming onion at Outback (personal bias). The servers also wished my mom a happy birthday which was so nice.

Nice date night out on a Wednesday! Grilled shrimp dinner with a sweet potato and house salad to start is my go to. My boyfriend had a sirloin steak, loaded potato and house salad also to start. The service was prompt as well. We love the consistency at Texas Roadhouse and it's what keeps us coming back.

I wanted my steak medium so I asked for it medium rare and it came out perfect, otherwise the service wasn't as attentive as I would like. If it wasn't for that slower service time then I would have rated this experience a 4/5 so I would give it a solid 3.5/5

NY New York Strip and Sweet Potato was good

Waited 1.5 hours on a Saturday night for a table for 2. The host followed us to our table with the warm delicious rolls and our server popped over quickly after to get our drinks. We ordered filet mignon with 2 sides and NY strip steak with 2 sides. Both steaks were ordered medium too. Took about another 20 mins for the entrees to come, so almost 2 hours to get steaks! We are thinking to ourselves, this place has to be really good right?! The filet mignon was rare/raw, the mac and cheese was bland and the loaded mashed potatoes were barely loaded.... My NY strip on the other hand was cooked perfectly, the Caesar salad was good and the sweet potato was also very good. Unfortunately after waiting 2 hours for food, we were not about to send anything back so we took the L on the filet mignon... Service was great, friendly and quick.

My first time at a Texas Roadhouse. Exactly what you would expect at a chain place like this. Can't go wrong with bread (warm rolls, delicious cinnamon butter). I tried steak medallions over rice with chili and mashed potatoes as my sides as well as cheesy fries covered in bacon. The portion of fries was large and greasy, just like we expected and ordered (you aren't here for healthy food). My steak medallions came out medium-well (ordered medium rare), but I didn't expect better either. The steak did have some gristle and was somewhat chewy. Chili was decent and mashed potatoes were just alright. Rice was very mushy and salty. I paid for a friend and myself. With the addition of two drinks to the above order, bill was $80 for two, which is kind of surprising considering this isn't the best quality.

There was a chair in the rafters.

Not bad, not good either. I would give it a 2 stars but our server rocked. She took wonderful care of our group of 7. She got all our ordered right and was on top of refills even before we needed them. Many thanks to her. I had the 12oz NY strip, seasoned rice and house salad. The house salad was fine. He seasoned rice was horrible. I think it was plain white rice with soy sauce poured on it. Way too salty and I couldn't eat it. The steak while perfectly cooked and very tender was very bland, no flavor at all. My friend said his chicken was dry and bland too. He said he was disappointed and wasn't worth the money. Service = good. Food = blah. Would I come here again? It wouldn't be my first choice.

Do they still have peanuts everywhere? Allergy nightmare.

They haven't had peanuts at this location since covid began I've noticed

Can anyone tell me if they have ever used a Texas roadhouse VIP card and if so what exactly does it do and how much does it cost?

Hey Sarah! This was something that we offered years ago as part of a gift card promotion but we no longer offer these any more. Sorry for an inconvenience!

Each course was perfect and service from Russell was attentive and leisurely. The steak was charred outside and medium rare throughout. Recommended by our server, it was dry aged and delicious as promised. It was sliced in the kitchen for ease of sharing and we even had a couple of slices to take home. Some au poivre sauce was gladly provided to go. A great meal. Just a suggestion for Yelpers, if you are dining during daylight, make a reservation far in advance requesting a table towards the back of the restaurant. The glare from the front window can spoil the atmosphere! I've added a photo of the menu on the photo page since it's hard to find online.. most everything is shareable.

We had a later reservation, since it was last minute and on a Saturday night. They were pretty busy, but we found a parking spot and was seated right away. Thea was our server, and the team here was exactly the same as it was in August. Super friendly, professional, and helpful when it came to understanding the menu and specials for the night. We started with a cocktail each, while choosing to get one appetizer (pork belly, which I highly recommended) to share before we went right into dinner. It was perfect. The smoked grits and microgreens complemented the pork belly, and it was basically mowed down by mostly me, HA! My sister in law got a steak, my brother went with the pork chop, and I had the Steak Frites. We had three sides, mac and cheese (I insisted based on the last visit), asparagus, and mashed potatoes. Incredible execution! When our entrees were ordered, we asked to speak to someone about a wine recommendation. Chris the GM came over, and he did remember me coming by earlier in the summer which was a surprise and really cool to have happen. I told him that I LOVED it here, having left in 2000 I never got to know Max's until 2025! We almost ate everything, but still had leftovers to be able to take home for another time. My thanks to the group here, from Thea, Chris, and front of house, and to the team in the back of the house, for excellent execution and an enjoyable evening out to treat my family. We were quoted about a 40-minute wait for a table, but told bar seating might open up sooner (around 30 minutes). They took my number and we stepped outside to take a walk around the block while we waited. We ended up getting a text about the bar seat availability in about 15 minutes. Once we got seated at the bar, things turned around quickly. The space has a really cozy, intimate vibe with dim lighting, warm atmosphere and overall it feels thoughtfully put together. We ordered hot toddies to drink, which were perfect for the weather, and for food we got the Japanese sweet potatoes and the cavolo nero pesto. Both dishes were incredibly delicious - flavorful and well-balanced. Just be prepared for a wait (and maybe stay nearby instead of wandering off), but once you're in, it's a great experience!

It's a small space inside but it's designed well enough to manage a flow of traffic for customers and staff. We sat in the back greenhouse area. I think the least enjoyable part of our experience was how loud it was in the restaurant. Definitely not a good spot if you're trying to catch up with someone and your voice doesn't carry. I couldn't actually hear the specials the server was telling us. I want to try out Vern's again, so I may wait until there's an outdoor table or ask to sit in the second level to see if that's quieter. We tried one of their spring menu appetizer items, the Japanese sweet potatoes with kimchi ranch and dill. One bite and I was addicted, these were so so good. We then moved on to the classics for entrees -- bee sting pizza and the ragu-- and we were amazed at how good everything was! The only note we had was about the pizza, it was very soggy in the middle but still edible if you rolled it over in itself. We also had a few cocktails, and while they were somewhat small, you could tell they weren't watered down in any way. Two drinks was more than enough for me. Overall it was a great experience and we want to try it again. If you're someone who struggles to enjoy a meal out where you can't hear much, maybe wait for outdoor tables.

It was very nice; we were able to have a decent conversation with dinner and that made for a wonderful experience. The service was prompt but unobtrusive. Portions are sized well but not huge. I did see some people taking home some white boxes. We shared our starter, entrée and dessert and finished it all. We started with Smoked Trout Dip served with house made potato chips. The ratio of chips to dip looked off but it was perfect. Personally, I thought the dip was under seasoned and light on the trout. The Chef came to our table to discuss his cuisine and we both left with our own opinions intact. The Featured - Friday Fish was the best Bouillabaisse I have tasted in years. It was the Friday Special and it was indeed special. The Bourbon Apple Crisp was to die for. If I had known, it was so good we would have ordered two portions instead of splitting one. The parking lot on the property is very small, but street parking is available.

Unfortunately, this Mother's Day 5/10/26 experience was disappointing enough that I felt compelled to leave a review. We had reservations for 3:30 PM on Mother's Day, and in the special request section of the reservation, I clearly specified that this was a Mother's Day celebration. I also requested a quiet or private booth and mentioned that my daughter is vegetarian. Upon arrival, we were seated upstairs directly next to what appeared to be an employee service area. We could constantly hear employees talking, dishes being washed or thrown around, and overall it was easily the loudest table in the restaurant. What made this more frustrating was that another couple seated next to us complained loudly about their table and caused a scene. Although staff initially explained the restaurant was full, they were eventually moved. Meanwhile, we had politely requested a better table in advance through the reservation system, yet because we were patient and understanding, it felt like we were simply ignored. Service throughout the meal was inconsistent and inattentive. It took quite a while before anyone took our drink order. The wine menu presented to me only included wines by the glass, despite the fact that I later saw servers bringing full bottles of wine and champagne to other tables. I wanted to order a bottle of champagne for the occasion, but by the time our waitress finally arrived, I didn't want to complicate things further. Another detail that stood out was the complete lack of acknowledgment for Mother's Day. I overheard our waitress enthusiastically wishing other tables a "Happy Mother's Day" and asking if they were celebrating anything special, yet she never once acknowledged me or our celebration. My husband ordered a piña colada and was told they could not make one, so he settled for a strawberry martini that was overwhelmingly sweet and unenjoyable. We chose not to complain. The food itself, as always, was excellent and truly the highlight of the evening. However, the service continued to feel rushed and impersonal. I was planning to order my favorite espresso martini after dinner, but instead the bill was simply dropped at the table without anyone asking if we wanted dessert or another drink. One employee who was handling bread and water service also made us feel rushed. While I was literally still chewing my food, she interrupted to ask, "Should I bag that for you?" It made me feel like we were being pushed out. I was also disappointed that despite specifically mentioning my daughter was vegetarian in the reservation notes, our waitress never offered vegetarian suggestions or asked about dietary restrictions. At most upscale restaurants, this level of attentiveness is expected. The most upsetting part of the evening, however, was what felt like dismissive and unprofessional behavior toward us as Latinos. My husband has an accent, and our waitress repeatedly pretended not to understand him. At one point, after commenting on his accent, she laughed and said, "Or maybe I'm deaf." We found this rude, uncomfortable, and inappropriate for a restaurant of this caliber. Ironically, despite the poor experience, I still tipped over 20% -- more than $100 from our table alone -- because I did not want to reinforce unfair stereotypes about Latinos not tipping. Black & Blue has always justified its upscale pricing through excellent food and outstanding hospitality, which is why this experience was so disappointing. While the food remains exceptional, the atmosphere has become extremely loud and chaotic, to the point where it reminded me more of Red Lobster than the elevated dining experience this restaurant once offered. I truly hope management takes customer service more seriously moving forward, because this visit was nowhere near the standard Black & Blue used to represent.
