We were in Tally for an appointment yesterday afternoon. It was 3:40 pm and we decided to eat an early dinner before the 30 mile ride home. We had a yearning for prime rib roast. Not many places have it on the menu these days. Some friends had mentioned Texas Roadhouse a few weeks ago, so we gave it a go. There were a lot of cars in the lot for so early on a Friday. There were a lot of customers in the restaurant as well! A host greeted us and shortly afterward showed us to a booth. Our server delivered freshly baked yeast rolls with a cinnamon spread. She took our beverage orders and returned with them quickly. I inquired whether prime rib was available and she informed us that they slow cook it overnight and they had plenty. We ordered a 10oz and a 12oz, both mid rare, with creamy horse radish and jus. Mashed and a Caesar salad for one, broccoli and Caesar for the other. The salads came out quickly and on chilled plates. Our server returned quickly and said the entrees were ready, did we want to wait a few minutes - yes was our response. We were finishing salads and she returned with our entrees. Generous cuts perfectly cooked. They were delicious and tender! The one thing we would change - the rub used was too thick and salty of a crust on the meat. Both of us trimmed it off. Overall - a delicious meal. We will be back next time we are hankering for a good prime rib dinner! read more

It's actually kind of rare for chains like Texas Roadhouse to have this high of a rating on Yelp so I was hopeful when we decided to grab dinner here. It was extremely busy when we arrived so we decided to place a pickup order instead of dining in, thinking it would be quicker and easier. Unfortunately, our food still came out over 20 minutes later than the quoted time, which kind of defeated the purpose of ordering ahead but by that time we were starving and just happy to have some food in front of us. When we opened it up however, it was disappointing across the board. There was no sauce included at all, like not on the food itself and not packaged on the side. That meant everything was dry and pretty bland. I was actually kind of bewildered. We ended up going to another place nearby to grab some drinks so that we could choke down the dry food. Maybe it was just a fluke since this place has pretty good ratings or they we're just so overwhelmed that someone decided to leave the sauces off so that the food didn't get soggy and someone else forgot to put them in so that the food had flavor. I love the food here. It's almost always classified as VERY GOOD! Today we sat at the bar and the bartender, while very eager to please, showed his inexperience making drinks. That is all good and fine. I can understand the learning curve. I just think they were slightly understaffed because it took a while between checks to see if we needed anything. Again I'm pretty patient so that didn't bother me. What really was hard to handle was the temperature. It was suffocatingly hot! My date and I peels off everything we could but it was just too hot. We would have stayed longer and drank more but we couldn't. I'm sure it's just because the cold snap has everyone confused on what temperature it should be. I'm writing to share a very disappointing experience at your restaurant tonight. We arrived around 9:00 PM and were told the wait would be 45 minutes to an hour, which basically meant we wouldn't be seated before closing. That was already frustrating, but what made it worse was how the situation was handled. The manager asked me if I "run a business" because, according to him, all his staff were gone. I found that comment unnecessary and unprofessional. We were simply customers trying to eat at your restaurant during posted business hours. It was also frustrating to hear that the focus was on holding tables for reservations while people like us were standing there waiting in front of the host stand. It felt like customers already there were being treated as less important. The overall experience felt disorganized and disrespectful. We came expecting dinner and left feeling dismissed. So usually me and my husband stop by here when we are in Tallahassee but this time our experience was terrible. Spent $70 and our server was Red. So to start he came and greeted us, I told him to get my husband and baby's drink order and to give me a second for mine, he dropped off drinks and didn't come back for 10 minutes, he finally came back and we told him our order and my drink order, my drink didn't come until way after getting our food and me having to say something. He repeated the food order to us and still came out wrong, pork chops was not butterflied, mushrooms for both meals was burnt, chicken was room temperature and my chili came out with the meal? We told him we were ready to go and he apologized for the experience so to me he knew he wasn't putting in effort and was forgetting stuff, my husband had to get up and find to go boxes after we asked 6 minutes before. Terrible, we eat at alot of Texas rd house restaurants. The steak was chared to a burn, dry, the restaurant dirty,seats no padding,waitress and staff rude. Parking was a challenge--we ended up having to park on side of Office Depot because there was nowhere else available. We had checked in ahead on the app and still waited about 15 more minutes since it was packed. The server was friendly, and everyone enjoyed their food. We visited Texas Roadhouse Tallahassee as a party of eight (five adults, two children, and a toddler) to celebrate my son's 21st birthday. We arrived at 4:30 PM on a Monday and weren't seated until 5:35 PM. Around 5:15 PM, staff told us our table was ready, yet we still stood at the entrance for another twenty minutes. The waiting area is poorly designed--there was only one seat available when there's easily room for four or five benches. It was especially uncomfortable for a larger group with kids. And honestly, if this was the wait on a Monday afternoon, I can't imagine what it's like on a Friday or Saturday night. The men's restroom was unacceptable. The floor was extremely wet (appeared to be urine), and the smell was so overpowering it made me gag. If it hadn't been my son's birthday, I would have left. Now for the positive: once we were finally seated, our server Austin was outstanding. He was attentive, personable, and professional--truly one of the best servers I've encountered. At 49 years old and having traveled to more than seventy countries, that's saying something. Austin turned what could have been a disappointing experience into a memorable evening for my son. Bottom line: Texas Roadhouse Tallahassee needs to address its seating efficiency, waiting area, and restroom cleanliness. However, Austin's exceptional service deserves recognition, and with some operational improvements, this location could easily meet the high standards people expect from Texas Roadhouse. read more

Server was alright but food was by far worse. I asked my server for a fork seeing as how mine I was provided with was dirty and had food on it . Waited a solid 20 minutes for a set of silverware to eat my salad . As soon as I was brought silverware the food arrived. I wasn't too concerned about the fork . But when I cut into my chicken to find purple I was beyond aggravated. I got a remake but it took another 45 minutes- an hour to receive . I do understand being busy and things take time to cook . We spoke with the manager and the manager offered to cover the appetizer. Will thank them for trying to accommodate with us. I went to an early dinner with a friend. I was excited because it has been a long time since I have been to Texas Roadhouse. It started out great with the delicious rolls and sweet butter. That was about where the good experience ends. I ordered a blackberry lemonade that tasted like fruity water. Then I ordered potato skins. Some of the skins were burnt on the bottom and they looked thrown together. We both ordered the roadkill. My meal was INCREDIBLY SALTY! I was only able to eat one bite before I had to return it. The salad was decent and they had good ranch dressing. That and the bread is why they got a three. The waitress was nice and accommodating. read more

Texas Roadhouse has let their food become very mainstream and fast food like. Their rolls are no longer freshly made and very obviously frozen. Their Mac and cheese was a ball of noodles stuck together with cheese poured overtop. It's apparent that a lot of the food here is premade and microwaved now. Very disappointing. read more

Even through it's Easter it wasn't crowded and not so busy around 4:00 pm. Ambience- it's Texas Roadhouse. Food- is good. 4/5 stars. Service 1/5 stars- no butter with the bread basket given. Had to wait another 20 mins for it to come to our table after 3 requests and bread got too cold. No utensils placed in our table. Had to requests it from 2 other servers until they told our server to bring them to our table ( came with the butter). Salad plates and small plates still left, wasn't offered to take them away. It was crowded in the table for just four people. Refill was given to my partner but I was forgotten. Maybe he'll bring it after a couple minutes(didn't). Another 10 mins until we asked another server for the refills. Server finally came over after 5 minutes of requesting the refill from another server. It was not so busy that it was forgotten with the hustle and bustle. That, I would truly understand. This was not the case. Gainesville Texas Roadhouse has better service. Hence better experience. I've tried a lot of different steakhouses from Outback to Longhorn but out of the few Texas Roadhouses I've been to this has by far been the best one I've been to, & I've been to a lot of different steakhouses! Food was great, cooked to perfection!!! Ambience was great, from the country western vibes & surprisingly not too loud even for the busy night that it was when I went. Service was by far the best I've ever had. My server Kennedy, when they say "service w/ a smile" she went above and beyond, her bright & glowing demeanor & attitude, & one of a kind smile literally made me feel like I was the only person in the restaurant, left me wanting to come back just to request for her to serve us again!!! Her customer service skills was by far out of the world, as someone who's been in the food industry for almost 10 years now I've never seen anyone who came close to that level of customer service before!!! They didn't have the simple ingredients of orange and a cherry for my usual drink, an Old Fashion. My filet mignon came out with a burnt crust and was served rare instead of medium. When they corrected it, the steak still had no seasoning--no salt, no pepper, no flavor. On top of that, the broccoli wasn't steamed; it arrived cold and hard, like it was taken straight from the bag. Went here for our Anniversary dinner and will not be back. Nobody was up front to greet or seat you. The bathroom was dirty and needed attention. The carpets were disgusting and you could smell it as you sat at your table. Forty five minutes after we ordered a bus boy (trying to help) was delivering food to people who just ordered across from us and it looked like our order. He set it in front of them and after they touched and complained about it being wrong for a few minutes the guy picks up the plates and puts them on our table! Told him we needed new meals so we waited another 20 minutes and watched few different occasions of waiters/hostess looking at us and giggling. 12/26/25 Wife loved the prime rib done rare. For me, the ribs were average, at best, the dallas filet cooked right (medium), but likely a bad cut of meat as it was quite poor.Baked potato good. Rolls good, as always. Waiter, named Christian, was attentive and VERY personable. The girl at the front taking our wish for a table was abysmal. I normally look down on chain restaurants and figure theyre all pretty cheesy. This location and restaurant has a killer menu, absolutely insane prices for very decently prepared food and great service. I have come twice for a prime rib and they have been out each time which should tell you something ( its extremely good and extremely cheap). I will keep trying to get the prime rib and if I never do thats perfectly fine because the steaks are incredible and i hate buying steaks anywhere i much rather cook them myself but ive grown to trust the texas road house. read more

Excellent dinner! I ordered the 12 oz ribeye with seasonal veggies of carrots and broccoli and a sweet potato, everything was delivered HOT and delicious. The steak was cooked perfectly, it was super tender and the broccoli and carrots were done just right, really fresh. My sweet potato was so big I had leftovers for 3 meals and the steak and veggies lasted 2 meals. My friend ordered their veggie platter with the broccoli/carrots, applesauce, a sweet potato, and green beans. She didn't like the amount of pork in the green beans but most people would. The pre-dinner yeast rolls were mouth watering, hot, and delicious. Every single person working there was really friendly and happy to be there and help. That was outstanding! Has been a minute since we were last at Texas Roadhouse, but came for my daughter's birthday, she wanted something low-key/laid back, and she wasn't in the mood for "presentation food" LOL! Texas Roadhouse is more of a comfort food place; though the appetizers/staters were a bit off this time (had to request another order the appetizers because it appeared that someone took their eyes off while cooking). In any case, the server was super nice/very attentive and was able to get us freshly cooked/better-looking appetizers. I love everything here. The appetizer steak fries with chili is super filling. I can't believe it is so affordable. It came out quickly. We can pick our own steak and I think that is a fun little activity. There are peanuts that you can snack on if you're waiting. They cook their steaks just right. The side salad is just regular but their side vegetables are cooked just right. They melt in your mouth just like the steak! In the front, they have a little activity for kids like crayons and things to color on. It is a bustling lively atmosphere! read more
