I love the food here. It's almost always classified as VERY GOOD! Today we sat at the bar and the bartender, while very eager to please, showed his inexperience making drinks. That is all good and fine. I can understand the learning curve. I just think they were slightly understaffed because it took a while between checks to see if we needed anything. Again I'm pretty patient so that didn't bother me. What really was hard to handle was the temperature. It was suffocatingly hot! My date and I peels off everything we could but it was just too hot. We would have stayed longer and drank more but we couldn't. I'm sure it's just because the cold snap has everyone confused on what temperature it should be. 'Next time I anticipate a 5 start review!

Terrible, we eat at alot of Texas rd house restaurants. The steak was chared to a burn, dry, the restaurant dirty, seats no padding, waitress and staff rude. I would hate for this Texas Roadhouse to be someone's First Texas Roadhouse they would never come back as we will never come back to this one.

Server was alright but food was by far worse. I asked my server for a fork seeing as how mine I was provided with was dirty and had food on it . Waited a solid 20 minutes for a set of silverware to eat my salad . As soon as I was brought silverware the food arrived. I wasn't too concerned about the fork . But when I cut into my chicken to find purple I was beyond aggravated. I got a remake but it took another 45 minutes- an hour to receive . I do understand being busy and things take time to cook . We spoke with the manager and the manager offered to cover the appetizer. Will thank them for trying to accommodate with us. This isn't to bash my server or the manager but the kitchen needs work .

I always love it here. My food is always good and this particular visit our server was amazing. The ambience is there but you know this is a crowd favorite so they're always busy.

Texas Roadhouse has let their food become very mainstream and fast food like. Their rolls are no longer freshly made and very obviously frozen. Their Mac and cheese was a ball of noodles stuck together with cheese poured overtop. It's apparent that a lot of the food here is premade and microwaved now. Very disappointing.

My friend and I met at the restaurant and were shown to a table. We wanted something a little quieter so we were moved. A large party of 10 came and sat adjacent to us, so, we asked to move once more. Once settled, we were served bread and water, then ordered a cocktail. The bread was nice and crusty. The cocktails were as ordered. We ordered an appetizer to share - squid ink pasta with seafood and fra diablo sauce. Quite tasty! For entrees, the fish of the day was red snapper piccata. Q We both ordered the snapper with sides of carrots with a brown sugar pecan glaze and Brussels sprouts with a balsamic drizzle. Our entrees arrived. Traditional Piccata is floured then sautéed in butter/olive oil, drippings are made into a lemon butter sauce with capers and parsley. What was served was a breaded the fried piece of snapper with what looked like a thin lemon parsley white sauce to pour over it and some fried crispy capers. The fish was nice white flesh, a thick breading, slightly overcooked. The almost green parsley laden lemon sauce was mediocre. The The The capers would have been better warmed in the skillet and not fried. Side dishes - the carrots were a platter of multi colored sautéed or blanched. The brown sugar glaze was scant and there were a Few nuggets of glazed pecans. Not as described by our server. The sprouts were crispy and had a tasty balsamic glaze. I felt the dish was mediocre and wished I'd ordered a steak. For dessert, I ordered the spumoni ice cream. Nothing like traditional layered spumoni I've had in the past. This seemed to be chocolate ice cream with some nuts and chocolate bits in it. Cherries non existent. I never mind spending money if the food quality is commensurate to the price. Our bill came to $200 + $40 tip. Far below my expectations.

**Review: Solid Steak Dinner at The Edison**…read more I had a pleasant dinner at The Edison recently and walked away satisfied, especially with the food. Service was just okay--nothing terrible, but the appetizers definitely took longer than expected to come out. That said, our server was genuinely good: friendly, knowledgeable, and checked on us at the right moments without being overbearing. The appetizers were worth the wait. Both the fried green tomatoes and the crab appetizer were excellent--fresh, flavorful, and nicely executed. For the main course, the steak was spot-on: tender, well-seasoned, and cooked exactly as ordered. The potatoes that came with it were also really good--creamy and tasty without being heavy. We ended the meal with the bread pudding, and it was one of the best parts of the night. It was done perfectly: warm, moist, and full of rich, comforting flavor that didn't feel overly sweet. All in all, The Edison delivers on the food front. If you're after a reliable steak with some standout starters and a strong dessert, it's a solid choice. Ambiance was good, love the historic building. I'll definitely be back for the steak and bread pudding. Recommended!

When I read the email announcing tonight's Chef's dinner, we couldn't resist. No one, and I mean NO ONE, can fry an oyster better than Chef. Perched atop a great classic--deviled egg with bacon bits--the oyster was tender with a light batter-fried coating. Chef's duckfat cornbread drizzled with just the right amount of avocado butter provided the perfect podium on which two blackened shrimp lightly dusted with a hint of subtle spices rested. If you know me, you know I don't like my food to hurt me, and this dish met my requirements with a whisper of, "Here I am." Now, my hubby doesn't like anything with coffee, so he was worried about the hickory smoked chicken with espresso molasses BBQ sauce. However, he admitted the sauce didn't have any hint of coffee and, in fact, it was a delicious complement to the chicken. As for the pancetta Mac 'n' Cheese, its creamy cheesiness balanced out the smokiness of the chicken. Chef Joseph often offers one of his Pot de Crème varieties to finish a meal. I always look forward to them. Tonight's Pineapple White Chocolate version was a perfect finish to a perfect dining experience. Sparkling wines and summer--the perfect pairing. Even more perfect when you are enjoying them with a fabulous meal at Lucilla.

The ambiance is almost like an upscale bar, nothing too extravagant. Food/drinks: the cucumber breeze was really good. It reminds me of freshly pressed cucumber juice. I could not taste the alcohol at all; it was refreshing. We started with the crab cakes. The menu described them in a completely different way than they were presented-- the outside was very breaded, almost like a boudin ball, but not over-fried to where the crab was minimal. It was interesting, but not bad. As an entree I had the 14 oz. ribeye accompanied by shrimp and sides of a baked potato and asparagus. The shrimp were large and decently flavored, the baked potato was superb, and the asparagus was so charred, it was almost inedible. The steak....was mediocre at best! I've had a better steak at Longhorn. Service: our server was pleasant but not overly attentive. This wasn't an issue, though. Overall, I don't think I'll revisit unless I'm getting a cocktail only *shrugs*.
