Scallops.

A group of four went to 347 Grille. First and foremost, it should be known that we made a reservation, but the night we went - it really was not necessary. Your mileage may vary. That said, we started off with sparkling water. Some in our party had wine, beer, and the like - I did not, so I cannot comment there. Complimentary bread was brought out, and from there, we ordered our mains. Scallops, fish, steak, even lobster graced our table. Richard was our waiter. He made recommendations and was attentive without being annoying. As for our mains, cannot say anything except about mine, which was the lobster and it was a generous portion. I had two meals out of it. I had to stop myself from eating more admittedly, as my companions wanted dessert. I tried a couple of spoonfuls of each chocolate dessert. They were rich. One was a chocolate cake slice, the other a chocolate sundae. Key lime pie was also ordered, but I didn't bother as I'm not a fan. At any rate, the dinner was a pleasant experience. I'd return for a special occasion as it's pricy.

Steak is poor quality.

Steak was poor quality. Asparagus were tasty and mushrooms were full of salt I am happy to pay for an excellent meal but to pay that price for this food is a crime

Brownie sundae!

Anniversary dinner was perfect! The flame grilled catch of the day is amazing. The service was spot on! We enjoyed watching the preparation of the Tallahassee winter parade from inside the restaurant.

Service: absolutely amazing!! Food: the chop was moist and well seasoned! The sides were great as well! The crab cake was to die for!!

First let me say we are huge Shula's fans and regulars at the Orlando location. This location didn't quite live up to the hype. The prices didn't make any sense. For example, they had an 8 ounce filet for $69 but 9 ounce filet medallions for $44. Does a steak not being cut in medallion form justify a 56% increase in price? Not to mention, the prices were even higher than the Disney location. When Disney is the "cheaper" alternative, something has gone horribly wrong with your pricing. Also, any Shula's fan will tell you that the iconic sourdough bread is arguably the highlight of the experience. It's the best bread in the history of restaurants. But this location didn't even have that. The bread they did have was by request only. Final strike against them: parking was valet only with no validation! Pretty sure no one in the world likes valet parking except people who work for valet parking companies. Not terrible, just short of the Shula standard. If you're not a rapacious lobbyist who is in Tallahassee because you earn big bucks swindling the public, this place is probably hard to afford.

Looks more like a Diner than an expensive Shula's Steakhouse! This is the Dining Room.

On today I ordered the catfish tacos and collard greens with the turkey. The meal was great. The catfish was lightly fried and the sauce on it was amazing. I had my usual peach sweet tea to go with it. I would recommend this place to anyone.

I came to this place with my friend who currently lives in Tallahassee. It came highly recommended,…read moreand it did not disappoint. During Sunday brunch, we were seated quickly, even without reservations, even while it was very busy. There were lots of people ~ the venue is cute and quaint... my friend, however, was stuck on the paint chips and holes in the wall. The food was great. I got fried deviled eggs (yummy), fried catfish, red velvet waffles, eggs and corned beef hash. The catfish was extremely fresh. The red velvet cupcakes came with a cream cheese sauce that tasted more like Krispy Kreme donut glaze or just a sugary sauce. I wish it had more of a cream cheese flavor. I wasn't pleased with it. The corn beef hash was good. My friend got the chicken and pancakes. The chicken was delicious, perfectly fried. The customer service was great ~ warm, attentive, inviting, quick, and well managed to be so busy. Jordan, our server, was amazing! The ambience and crowd were nice, diverse. Unfortunately, the speaker wasn't working properly so initially it was incredibly, awkwardly quiet. When the speaker did start working, it sounded busted. Hope you enjoy if you ever go visit.

We visited Hayward House Bistro for brunch on FSU Parents Weekend, September 2025. That Sunday…read moremorning the wait list was in effect before the restaurant even opened. I managed to secure a nice table with not even a 25 minute wait thanks to a very courteous and professional manager (thank you, Steve!). At the table, everything was clean, shiny and the server was prompt despite a very busy morning. The crowd, obviously, seemed to be mostly college students and parents. I'm pretty sure during the week it's the Capitol Hill crowd. The food was tasty and really hit the spot. Coffees fresh brewed all around, of course. We started with the Breakfast Poutine for appetizer which was hearty and all enjoyed. For entrees, two Southern Benedict, the Waffle Flight, scrambled eggs and bacon. All the food was cooked to order, presented nicely and the taste exceeded expectations. Also, kudos to our Server, Jose. We'll likely visit again and enjoyed the meal. The ambience, flavors and service professionals were great. I should also mention parking in this area can be challenging so take that into consideration. Do make a reservation or arrive early!

We chose Hayward House to celebrate our son's graduation from Florida State University and made a…read more2:15 pm lunch reservation for 6 people because the ceremony was at 7 pm. We drove to Tallahassee that day, but unfortunately got caught in heavy traffic due to President Trump speaking in Sumter County near The Villages. As Soon as we realized we would not make our reservation, we called the restaurant to explain the unavoidable circumstances and asked if there was any way to move our reservation to another time that day. Initially, we were told no, so we canceled the reservation. Shortly afterwards, the restaurant called back and informed us we would be charged a cancellation fee of $ 150 - $ 25.00 per person. I completely understand having a cancellation policy, however, charging $ 25 per person for a lunch reservation during unavoidable traffic circumstances felt excessive and unreasonable, especially after we proactively called ahead. What was even more disappointing was the complete lack of flexibility or compassion during an important family milestone. I explained repeatedly that we were desperately trying not to miss our son's graduation celebration and were even worried about missing the ceremony itself because we were stuck in traffic. I asked about every possible alternative- a later dinner reservation, appetizers only, or even moving reservation to another day. Ever request was denied except for a 4 pm slot, which still was not realistic given the traffic situation. What upset me the most was not just the fee itself, but the unwillingness to work with us. A more customer focused approach could have been allowing the $ 150 to be applied toward a future visit. Because of this experience, my family will NEVER dine at Hayward House, and I would NOT recommend it to other FSU families celebrating special occasions.

R&R at Hotel Indigo in Tallahassee, FL…read more Stayed a couple nights at Hotel Indigo on a work trip and naturally ended up at R&R more than once because: location, location, location. Easy access plus a bar meant repeat visits. Let's start with the GOODS the drinks! I stopped in to the bar multiple times and the cocktails are where they shined for me. Ryan the bartender - WOW next level. Superb! Knows his stuff, and made every drink a hit for me. My top pick? The Juju, hands down my favorite. But I also got a sneak peek of a new drink coming to their seasonal menu called the Lily Pad, and OMG mmmmmm. So good. Bright, refreshing, well-balanced. Totally check out my photos for that one. Now... about breakfast. It's a No for me. Enough. I had the Nashville Honey Chicken Biscuits and they are a FAIL, a No. Dry, sad, biscuits with fried frozen chicken nugget in it and not worth $16. It's an embarrassment to the establishment. The Cortado, also a miss!... but it was coffee and I needed to get going to work. R&R, please rethink breakfast: 100% did not meet the price point. Skip breakfast or walk across the street, there's a bagel shop. The hotel indigo is really cute and I'll probably write a review about that on a separate, the place is overall cute, but there's very limited food places around the hotel. So in conclusion, I will give you an extra star for the convenience and the bar. After my experience for breakfast, I did not care to come here for food at all anymore. Expensive cheap food. Just because they're helped by a great bar and a beautiful hotel and a great location..

Nice ambiance and really good food. Was there to visit a relative who was staying at the hotel but…read morethe food is good enough that we'll go back soon.
