The ambiance was quite festive and cheerful and there were many diners there. We ordered the onion blossom I think it was called, as the appetizer. It was awesome. I ordered the 12 ounce Fort Worth Ribeye smothered in mushrooms, loaded mashed potatoes and a Caesar salad. My wife ordered a ribeye and ribs, loaded mashed potatoes and a house salad. The food was excellent and the steaks cooked to perfection. The service was excellent as well. The cheesecake for dessert was the best we've ever had. When we walked in , during our meal and as we were leaving , the staff were very friendly . We just came from eating at Texas Roadhouse for dinner. We live in Winnsboro and don't come into Tyler very often but when we do, we almost always eat here. To start with the people are always friendly and inviting. The food is always great, especially the rolls. But today was exceptional. Our server, Charis made a good day into a wonderful one. She was so sweet and funny. She took the time out to just chat with us. She also kept on drinks, bread, and asking if we needed anything else. She has the brightest personality and instinctively knows when to show up and when not to. That is rare and what makes her a wonderful server. We've been here twice. We love Roadhouse so much we've been driving well over an hour just to have our favorite steak place. I haven't seen this location obnoxiously packed like other Roadhouses before, so I thought that was strange, especially on a weekend evening. This place has delivered overdone steaks both times we visited and forgotten sides. It's frustrating to send a steak back because then you are sitting there for 20 minutes waiting on the right steak and everyone else at your table is almost done.the house margaritas are very weak so then you're stuck paying for the extra shot in your drink just for some normalcy. The service is okay - felt forgotten about about and had to track down the waitress both times. For a place that's not even that busy, our waitresses should be more visible and check on us. This last time, waitress didn't deliver any of our drinks or food herself, other staff did. We had to voice our displeasure to other staff just to get her to check on us. read more

So, we are summoned to the receptionist to be seated where we stand in every server's way because they told us to for 10 more minutes. Then they try to seat us at a TABLE NOT A BOOTH as we requested!!! After waiting an hour AND then trying to seat us where THEY wanted we called for a manager! She was apologetic and quickly found a booth for us, the only problem was the spacing between the table and seat made it difficult for me as I am a big guy! Against my better judgement, my sister and I went to Texas Roadhouse with my 5 year old niece and 2 year old nephew around three in the afternoon. My nephew was completely unruly because he had not had a nap. I ordered a top shelf Long Island ice tea. My sister asked the waitress for a drink suggestion and based on that ordered a "razzmatazz margarita." The drinks were VERY weak.
