Highly recommend!! So fun. Not crazy expensive. Literally fun in the aqua park for all ages. I am so surprised it took us this long to try it out. The bar inside is also cool. Always so much to do here. I love their inflatable park they have in the summer. It's perfect for everyone of any age.

This was so much fun they taught us how to do wake boarding. It was hard at first but then became so easy and fun, I even did the big one which was so fast. Kids did the Adventure Lagoon, they had a blast! Lots of space to play on the inflatables. Everything was well maintained.

My kids had a load of fun. They have a training area to get you started before skiing the real thing.

It was our first time trying something like this and the staff were super friendly and helpful. The young men they had working the beginner area were able to give us tips to help us learn. Later on a young lady came out and she was also very helpful despite us messing up the line constantly. Their tips helped out so much some of us actually got to "graduate." read more

Our experience at Silver Spoon was not as advertised. They offer the following ..."Create your own story by selecting a First Act (appetizer), a second act (entree), and a third act (dessert)". This for a set price of $39 each that one pays in advance. We were told by our waiter we could pick anything from the 1st, 2nd or 3rd Act as advertised, we were NOT told that certain menu offerings from the 1sst, 2nd and 3rd act had an additional price. Our dinner for 2 with 2 glasses of wine each came to $200 = very expensive. The food was good, the concept of dinner and theatre is terrific yet the non-disclosure was absolutely unacceptable. read more

First some background: I've been to several wakeboarding parks all over the world. My experiences with them are pretty mixed. The usual problem(s) are staff related. Unlike, high end hotels or restaurants the staff are trained in the basics but lack training in customer service. I say this because wakeboard parks are unlike any other service related business in that their is an unusual mix of A) Customers who have no idea what they are doing in regards to riding and B) Customers who are regulars and take the sport seriously. Another example of a business like this is ski slopes. The issue(s) then arise because the people who don't know what they are doing are cumbersome, time consuming and sometimes just annoying to both riders who are experienced/regulars as well as to the staff. Which by the way is why their are NOT very many of these water parks. As a newbie or "kook" as they like to say, you have to be tenacious to learn this sport. Most water parks take your money, hand you the equipment and go back to thumbing through their phone. That leaves you awkwardly fumbling around with the equipment, lingo and walking aimlessly around.....lost to figure out what you are supposed to do. New riders often leave feeling unwelcome and unaccomplished..never to ride again. Which is bad for the sport and the business. I know because I used to be one of them, until I hired a professional Kiteboarder to teach me Kiteboarding which is another story. Now, with that being said I decided to drag my wife and my two young children to Texas Ski Ranch while visiting Texas. I was expecting the above however our experience was nothing short of awesome. The check in process was seamless and we were directed appropriately. The back and forth cable is great for kids and the staff was very helpful and courteous. They were attentive and never seemed frustrated or aloof. They weren't goofing off or playing on their phones. They gave helpful tips and both my kids actually got up and rode which is pretty great. They both realized how hard it was and kept trying until they got it. That feeling of finally standing up and riding after endless face planting is irreplaceable. The larger and faster cable is epic. Tons of kickers and rails and whatever the kids are calling them these days. The girl running that cable was extremely nice as well. I had a great ride and my wife and kids came back happy which is what mattered most. read more

BE VERY CAREFUL WITH THE SALES & SERVICE DEPARTMENT!! First, I was horrifically misquoted for a repair (thank god I got a second opinion!) Then, while picking up my boat, my trailer AND truck were both damaged due to the direct negligence of one of their employees. Not only was their no apology from the general manager, they took absolutely no responsibility for their actions. Email after email they led me to believe they were going to fix both truck and trailer but then began ignoring all my emails and calls. The mechanic is actually good but due to the unprofessionalism of the management, I would suggest NOT going there! They will not take responsibility for their work and will lie to you about their intentions to remedy any problems. NOT WORTH THE RISK!!! read more

You know all the skate parks littered throughout America? They do nothing for me. I don't have the balls to try those skateboard tricks that my younger brother so effortlessly does ( He's probably at the RWC skatepark doing them now) 5 years ago I fell in love with Wakeboarding. You can jump high in the hair, but it's much more fun to know that you'll be landing in water when you eat it, NOT concrete....The same guy that got me into it, mentioned this place.... Before starting my current job in Nov 2007, I was checking off a list of things you can't really do once you have a full time job. This was at the top of the list. Where to start? It;s in the middle of nowhere, about 10 min away from wonderful Austin, the gem of Texas. You pull up and walk into a very laid back atmosphere. You get fitted for your helmet and board ( bring nothing except for your credit card and ID ) and they have you watch an instructional video to get you familiar with how the cable works. Then you wait in line to take your turn. There are about 4-5 different spots on the cable for people to ride, without crashing into each other. You're gonna fall,get over it...it doesn't hurt... and this feels much different than wakeboarding, but no one cares. Quite a humbling experience to tell my boy ( who doesnt wakeboard) some tips, only to fall immediately when grabbing the rope) All the people in this area seemed to be locals, who are very friendly and are stoked that you are trying. I saw young ass kids do some amazing tricks!!! Kind of blew my mind, but from what I gather, they're practicing on the daily. Lucky little brats ! My dad raised me to hunt...I'm gonna raise my son to SHRED! As the other review said, the island in the middle keeps the water glassy and not unridable. A local told me this feature is what makes TSR more sought after than Orlando Wakeboarding Complex. I think it was $60-$80 for gear and 4 hours. Such a deal, such a fun time, and I'll be back in 2010 for sure. read more

Loved this place as a kid. Had a bunch of fun wrecking my cheap next bike on all the ramps they had set up in the skate park. I went in recently because I heard they had a snowboard trainer hill. I was super bummed to find out they closed it down. Great spot for the family though. read more

I honestly couldn't have had a better time on Memorial day than at TSR! This was my first time EVER trying out wakeboarding and you bet that I was super nervous. One of my close friends and her family rented out the boat for wakeboarding lessons and she convinced me to tag along and I DID NOT REGRET (although my muscles probably do since I'm still sore after three days lol). Our driver Ryan and instructor Max made this experience so enjoyable and it was extremely helpful that they gave instructions that were clear and constructive. It was an absolute wonderful feeling standing on my board after my third try. We spent the first 2.5ish hours trying wakeboarding out since we had 4 people rotating each time and then we spent the last 1.5 hours wakesurfing. I had my reserves about surfing since I know that I can't stand on a skateboard to save my life so I didn't know how surfing was going to go since there weren't any boots attached to the board. Surfing took me a tad bit longer to get a hang of, but after I was instructed to direct using my toes it was all history and I ended up liking it more than wakeboarding. So overall experience? I had a blast and I highly recommend having Ryan and Max onboard for the experience! If you don't want to spend as much money for the boat rental there is a cable park for wakeboarding for a much lower price. AND on Monday nights girls can wakeboard with a FREE cable pass from 6pm-10pm during the summer. Wakeboarding with TSR can't get any better than this! read more

Terrible service department, beware. I called to set up an appointment for my new malibu boat. I was quoted a price and promised a call or text for when my service would be done. After 2 weeks have gone by with no response, I called and was told they would not service my boat because I purchased it from a different location. Unbelievable! So I would have to purchase a boat that they did not have available at that location in order to receive the promised service. And all they could say was that it was bad communication on their part. Just wanted to say how much fun we had Saturday night! My kids, and ME, all had a blast, and liked the inanimate targets and the especially loved the live ones! The process y'all set up to buy more paint balls, fast and easy, which was great, because they were having so much fun they needed more! We took snowboard class. It was fun but the class is not really a class. The teacher kept walk away and putting water on the carpet.. he will advice us for a few minute or two and then walk away again.. so weird class. Good thing I did not paid full price for this.. otherwise I will give 1 star instead of 3. I will not be going back for snowboard.. it is just not the same as real snow.. and too expensive for something like this. read more

Never a dull moment at this place. Love going here to wakeboard and relax. They have 4 lakes to practice on. The staff is really friendly. There is a path to skateboard around the lake in case you don't feel like getting wet and just want to shred. If you want to go Extreme , then they have a skateboard park on the side as well with half pipe, ramps and rails. read more

Big air. I was about to leave my first two word review but that just wouldn't be right. This is a great facility. The staff are young boarder types (i.e. athletic ganja partakers) but quite knowledgeable and nice. Prices are reasonable, but much less expensive if you have your own (or borrowed) board, vest and helmet. There's two cable pulls, lil bro and big bro. Lil bro is great for learning how to wakeboard. I would highly recommend it for your first outing, it's easier to get up on lil bro than behind a boat. I went with a friend who hadn't boarded so he hung out on lil bro trying to master the art of boarding. Big bro is a circular lake with all kinds of rails & ramps. I hung out on big bro, met lots of friendly boarders. My friend by the end of the session graduated to big bro. He managed to stay up for about 10 seconds and got lots of cheers since folks knew this was his first time. If you're lucky, you'll get to see some pretty hardcore boarders doing their tricks, fun. read more

One of the funnest things you can do near Austin. Pay for a few hours, rent equipment, then do non stop wakeboarding on the water with the rope pulling you at a good speed, or if you're advanced enough get some jumps in. Between this and the Austin On Track Xperience (on the way back if you're driving here from Austin, also very highly recommended), you can have a day of pure adrenaline you'd remember for a while. This was my first time wakeboarding, and it took about 4 tries before I was standing and comfortably navigating the bigger course. I have some snowboarding experience so that helped a lot. If you're a complete beginner to all this stuff you might want to do a lesson, otherwise it shouldn't take you long to pick up on your own. Cost is about $50/2hours with equipment read more

Snowboarding in Texas? It's possible with Texas Ski Ranch. This place is cool and just a fun day that takes one back to one's childhood. My kids had a blast. Tubing on the hill is super fast when using the plastic sleds. I got airborne a few times after hitting the last hill. It was awesome. Staff is laid back and friendly. Only downside is: rug burns are tough on the skin and it can be a bit pricey for a family. Overall: highly recommended for good old fashion fun. read more

Came here for my birthday experience, and I hauled 7 of my friends with me. We opted for the buddy group lessons (max of 3 per group) which came out to ~$50/person including rentals, 1 hour lesson, 1 hour ride time. Due to my large group, we had a private cable to ourselves - sweet! The cable was brand new, so there wasn't a dock - just grass and mud, but it didn't hinder our experience. Our 2 instructors were fantastic! The girl was patient and gave excellent direction. The guy is a sponsored wakeboarder and really chill. Everyone in my group got up at least once -- all the girls got up on their first try :) Had a late lunch at Wahoo's within the facility with great overviews to watch the experienced riders. I am addicted to wakeboarding now, and would not hesitate to come back for another lesson/ride. read more

Went here for intermediate wakeboard lessons and it was a complete waste of time. 2 Instructors on the boat and they did not provide one single tip to any of us. One of the guys - it was his 2nd time on the boat and the other one had only been doing it for one year and did not know how to do or teach the tricks we were attempting. ...waste of money and time!!! Worst of all, we were lied to because they said the instructors wb able to teach ppl our level! read more

I did the ski/snowboard hill so my review is solely based on that. It sucked. Flat out was bad. Apparently their sprinkler system was broken (has been for months) so one guy had to manually water the whole hill which didn't work at all. I could honestly have walked down the hill quicker. The board would not move no matter what I did. Having to push myself down the hill is not worth the huge price tag. If you have snowboarded before, don't come here. It's not even remotely close to what snowboarding is. I feel like I was cheated out of my admission. read more
