Would have been fun if I would have been already familiar with the facility. Took my 10 YO son to celebrate my birthday. Had no idea what I was doing, although I had water skied as a child. The guy at the desk said the monitor at the beginning cable line would give us pointers, but no. In fact, guy was rude and annoyed. Apparently I needed to purchase lessons to get anyone to talk to my son and I. Would have been fine, just tell me at the desk. The cable was crowded, and we didn't get many runs in before our time was up. My equipment was bulky and ill fitting. I could not get my knees up high enough to stand up without unzipping the vest and pushing it out of the way. Did that, and voila- I was up and going. Then forementioned monitor made me zip up the vest, and the fun was over. We left. Will not go back. I was exploring an activity out of my comfort zone, and I left feeling old and embarrassed, even though I was able to figure it out eventually. read more

This is like a boat dealership and cable park also happened. There's obviously a lot of effort that went into the park but it is still sub standard. They wouldn't let me use my shawnwatson comp vest, a $140 vest designed for wake boarding. Best part they didn't tell me until I was already in line at the cable. So I had to go get one of the disgusting "coast guard approved" vests which they conveniently charge for! had to wait in the line at the cable again! These vests and helmets they rent are super cheap and uncomfortable still wet from the last user. Totally gross and ruined my experience when I already had one of the best vests on the market. The water has a strange smell. One star definitely for being the only cable park I've seen with goats. Don't really ever wanna go back and that sucks because I truly love wake boarding. read more

Unreal cable park and facility. The staff is super helpful, going out of their way to make your experience excellent. The features on the lake are perfect, providing every obstacle needed to go from shredding the flat box to learning how to ride the gnarliest rails. There is a kicker facing each direction making it possible to practice hitting them both switch and regular, toe-side and heel-side. Easily on the same level as Orlando Watersports Complex and McCormics in terms of professionalism. And there's a skatepark, trampolines, and much more. Bringing only good vibes to the action sports community, everyone should check this place out. read more

Very family friendly place with lots to do. The restaurant inside was good, had a simple menu that was ok with reasinable prices.

First I want to say that we live an hour away and frequent TSR. We absolutely adore the staff there- they have been wonderful to my children and I. I even take my kids friends and some relatives there to give it a try! I've never spoken to Blake, the manager until Thursday- he is always very busy and running around. (Jordan is our favorite- she is awesome). Anyway- my autistic son loves wakeboarding. His very first time on a board was at TSR- that is where he learned. It took him several lessons and they have all been so patient. We went for the early bird special on Thursday and my son wanted to use his go pro on their helmets that have a mount. So we did. He crashed on the 2nd turn in the lake and it sunk. He was HEARTBROKEN. All of his cool videos were on there of all the extreme sports he loves to do! Plus- it's not a cheap piece of equipment. We asked Blake what could be done and he said we can come dive before hours for it. (My older son is a lifeguard so he is perfect for the job) Blake texted me early in the morning and said he was on his way. He went in early just for us and we found it! This meant the world to my son- he had no idea my son was autistic and melting down about this. Thank you Blake, thank you Jordan for always being awesome even though you are out there in the hot sun with all these newbies who tangle the rope and make you climb! Purchased a new boat $140,000 cash. The stereo hasn't worked since delivery . Two months out it still doesn't work. Sam clearly doesn't know what customer service is , or know what it's like to understand the frustration of what a life time customer would of been. GOATS!! 5 stars right off the bat. First, i thought they were fake, until they moved and I thought i was having an acid flashback : ) It's not OWC, but shiz the place was not crowded (it was a bit cold) , everyone was super chill, the rental was easy. Velcro bindings were loose but hey it's a rental what did i expect. Hadn't been on a cable in 4 years and girl at rental counter and handle passer dude were AWESOME! It needs 2 things: 1) a shower (i might have not asked and missed it) 2) sound system because all I kept hearing in my head was Levels by Meek Mill. Oh yeah, there was a bananas kid that spun both ways off the A frame. And there was like 5 people on the cable TOTAL. LOVE THIS PLACE ! Never going back to Texas but TSR--AWESOME! read more

The staff were very friendly and helpful. I had never been wakeboarding before and had no idea what I was doing, and the guy running the cable gave me guidelines on what to do starting out, and then specific advice after each try about what not to do next time (i.e. telling me the reasons I kept wiping out). Also, they have an area for beginners to practice their skills and then a larger, more challenging area for the more advanced wakeboarders. I was glad I could start out practicing in the beginner area and that I wasn't the only one who didn't know what I was doing. read more

I've lived in New Braunfels for three years and always wondered what this place was like. Finally had grandkids here from Nebraska that are 15 granddaughter and 12 year old grandson. They both brought friends with them. Purchased a two hour package. Three hours and a ton of videos later we finally were ready to leave. Needless to say they all loved it. Brooke was amazing and was a great instructor. She really tried to help them out and put a lot of effort into helping them enjoy and learn a lot about wakeboarding. We will be back. read more

My roommate suggested trying this place out during the summer and we've been addicts ever since. This place has a beginner course so you can learn how to wakeboard and they have lots of jumps on the regular course. It's a little spendy but they have deals. We went a lot over the summer and still can't wait to go back. read more

I had to arrange a pontoon boat rental for 14 of my buddies from all over the country on a trip to Lake Austin. I was rather nervous making these reservations, because some other rental services had some pretty sketchy reviews. Found TSR at Ski Shores and couldn't be more pleased with the service. We did a two hour cruise one day, and then a three hour cruise on a Saturday afternoon two days later. Only sorry we didn't have more time to rent one of their ski boats and go boarding. The pontoon boat in excellent condition, had plenty of power, and easily and comfortably held our 14 passengers plus driver. Laid back, personable and very professional, our drivers Clint and Colin were terrific. Pricing was very reasonable. We also enjoyed great food and atmosphere at the Ski Shores Cafe. Pontoon boating was the highlight of our Austin trip thanks to these guys. Highest possible recommendation. read more

One of our granddaughter's wishes for the summer was to learn how to wakeboard at the Ranch. So for her 11th birthday we decided to make that wish come through. Granddad called to make arrangements for a class. He was given the info and told he would have to sign a waiver; no problem. We booked a hotel to make her day really special. She was so excited we arrived an hour early. When we checked in we were told her mother needed to sign the waiver and she couldn't take her lesson. Of course I was really upset so he went over to talk to someone else. Her mother was, unfortunately, with the younger granddaughter attending a softball tournament in Boerne and couldn't fax and notarized a waiver. I just wanted the Ranch to realize how upsetting the whole experience was when we weren't given the proper information. The other guy didn't even bother to come over to talk to us. Maybe this review will help another grandparent out. Our granddaughter is a skateboarder and surfer so this would have been a real thrill for her. read more

employees are rude, water is gross, park is outdated. If you want to know about Tsr listen up. I have been going to Tsr for a while now. I am very familiar with the staff and the whole facility. first, the water is pumped from a well that contains sulfur which if you don't know smells like rotten eggs. Not only that but for the past 3-4 weeks oil has been dripping out of motor tower straight into the lake. Rather than fixing the problem the employees just refill oil every 2 hours which eventually drips back into the lake and expands the layer of oil over a large portion of the lake. Second, the cable park is outdated. Most of the rails at TSR have been there for 15-20 years and are very easy to get hurt on. The rails are extremely far out, extremely sharp, and sketchy. Also, the cable is stopped and being worked on very frequently during a normal day which cuts Into your ride time. Third, the employees are complete jerks a lot of the time but the manager is the same way. Not a well run business and not recommended to visit. read more
