A true filet should be clean, round, and tightly trimmed, but these looked more like end scraps pressed together rather than proper medallions. For the price of filet mignon, I expect professional butchering--not rough cuts that cook unevenly. Definitely not the quality I paid for, and I won't be purchasing this cut from here again.
