We had a wonderful time with our 5 year old grandson! He loved helping to feed the animals and was able to even touch a few of them. We laughed and laughed at some of their actions. He especially loved feeding the giraffes and the budgies. One of the budgies flew up on my husband's head and just stayed there. The buffalo was a little scary to him when it decided to take the whole bucket of food and ripped it out of my husband's hand but it was all okay. The grounds are nice and clean and the staff was very friendly and kind. It is a little pricey but when you think of all that goes in to keeping these animals and how educational it is, it is well worth it. We spent 4 hours there and my grandson wants to go back. A friend recommended Texas Zoofari Park so my husband and I loaded up the grands, headed out to Kauffman and had an absolute blast! The park is divided into Front, Middle, Back and North Safari zones so pace your food or the animals in the back will miss out. TIP: buy LOTS of feed. We purchased 4 four-bucket packs and ran out of food! The boys quickly discovered which animals were 'bad boys' (their words) who clamped their jaws on the food bucket and pulled it out of their hands--Zebras and Camels--and which animals had insatiable appetittes-- Ostriches and Llamas! After winding through the safaris, seeing hundreds of beautiful animals and feeding many, we stopped for a walk through the Safari Trading Post. The boys fed a giraffe and Budgies (separate food needed), explored the pond, petted goats and browsed the Safari Trading Post. Despite the Texas heat, many animals were out and actively looking for free food while others soaked in the ponds. Hearing the boys screaming and laughing and seeing their smiles was priceless! Cool 900 acre, 6 mile long drive through zoo out between Terrell and Kaufman. They have a lot of different animals that you can feed from a bucket. The animals will literally stick their heads inside your car to eat. It's fun! They have a little walk through section by their gift shop with giraffes, goats, and kangaroos. The only thing is, it's quite expensive and over priced, so be prepared so you aren't shocked when you get there. read more

Saw this advertised while driving through Texas and said sure why not it's a ling day of driving and will add more time but it's animals and kiddos will love it. Definitely was worth it!!! Buy dome food and feed animals through the window. Ensure to buy enough for the crew as once the animals start to eat it's hard to pull back and get food left. Take plenty of pictures and enjoy!! There is also a small area at the end to see some more animals as you walk around but be careful there are snakes in the pond! There is a food area in the gift shop as well. Here's a review in comparison to the fossil rim park! My family lives in the middle of both Texas Zoofari and fossil rim, not sure how long this park has been open but I've been going to fossil rim since I was a kid. We took our whole family out this weekend and absolutely LOVED IT! The park is big took us about 2 hours to drive through it and had a great time! In terms of comparison to fossil rim we feel like Texas zoofari has a lot more different animals!! We loved the cute lamas, and the longhorns and buffalo! There's so many cool animals here! The only difference for us is fossil rim has more of a scenic drive but animal wise this place takes the cake! Don't skip the animals by the gift shop! We loved all 4 attractions by it but our family really enjoyed feeding the birds! read more

While the animals were cute, I wish I had known they would seriously trash my car. You could not get away from them as they surrounded your car and scratched and dented it on all sides. Unfortunately, the deer with the long antlers and the long horn steer (or whatever they were) dented it numerous times and scratched the paint on all sides. Looks like someone keyed your car all over. It is gonna cost quite a bit in repairs, which made the visit a lot less fun and quite expensive. Would not recommend driving through in any vehicle you care about! While they do say on their website that they are not responsible for any damage, I had not seen any reviews noting significant vehicle damage. I took my mom and son here on a Sunday morning. We got there at around 11:30, which is a great time to arrive because it's not too busy and we were able to walk around peacefully for a couple hours before the wagon ride. My daughter, my granddaughter, and I went to Zoofari. It was so much fun. We bought some food to feed the animals. Some them tried to grab the bowl away. I had to fight with one to keep it. We saw all sorts of animals. It was great. We had a wonderful time. But if you go and buy some food, bring a plastic bag to put it in, then just dip out with this bowl they give you don't use the full bowl or they can possibly knock it out of your hands We also went in the morning. That's the best time to go when the animals are all out. I highly recommend it And I don't know how many acres this place is but it was huge. When you think it's over, nope there's another section you can go to. Well worth the money. read more

What an experience! When we purchased the tickets for this adventure, we really didn't know what to expect. We knew that we would see animals and have the opportunity to feed them, but we didn't understand just how much fun engaging with the animals was going to be. We saw the different "personalities" of different species - those that were persistent in getting a treat, and those who were content to simply lay in the shade and watch us drive by :-). We fed the llamas, the zebras, the different species of deer, and even a few warthogs. We got up close to feed the giraffes, and we particularly loved feeding the Budgies as they perched on our arms. Being able to be up-close-and-personal wit the animals was an experience we won't soon forget. We would highly recommend this fun adventure! read more

this place took us by surprise ! It is not like every other safari park ! There were so many more animals than most and the bird feeding and giraffe + petting zoo/goat feeing were so much fun !! and not expensive at all, you can get the feed for all of the activities for 12 bucks and thats just after you drove around for about 1hr and a half through the safari area. Terrible experience - denied entry, no refund, poor treatment of international guests We were a large family visiting from Israel with only one week to enjoy Texas. I purchased $273.31 worth of tickets for our whole family to visit Texas Zoofari Park on August 1, 2025. On the day of our visit, my wife and I fell ill, but our family--split into two cars--still made the effort to drive over an hour to the park. Despite all the tickets being booked under my name: The first group was allowed in without question. The second group, including myself, was denied entry by the manager, simply because I wasn't at the entrance when the others arrived. When we explained that we were all part of the same family and had already been partially admitted, the staff was completely unhelpful, refused to accommodate us, and denied our request for a refund--even though no one ended up enjoying the visit. We all left disappointed, especially our young children who had been excited all week for this trip. We tried to resolve this politely on-site, but were treated with inflexibility and indifference. This experience was completely unprofessional and unfair, especially to international tourists who made an effort to support your park. Avoid this place if you value fair treatment, basic customer service, and consistency. We will be filing a formal complaint and requesting a refund through legal channels. read more

I went recently here and had so much fun. The kids really enjoyed. It definitely worth the drive and the price ( maybe the price per car will be more ideal ) since. Feeding food does add up quick ,all the animals very cute and well taking care of also all animals very interacted like you can actually feed them. The gift shop have so much to offer too . Cute local drive thru park. Most of the animals you physically encounter are llama, emus, deer but a few others like zebra, bison and warthogs show interest. Buckets of food are $5 each and they encourage one bucket a person but that can really add up. Our family of 5 did just fine with 3 buckets and just managed how much you feed. We suggest holding super tight or not giving a full bowl at once because some animals can be a little food ggressive. We paid around $150 for our family of 5 which was expensive especially because the giraffes were not out there due to the cold weather (keep that in mind when going in the colder months). The petting zoo was also closed and the tractor ride was also not going (tractor ride is an additional separate expense tho) I think we would have given more stars if we had gotten the full experience that was included in the price of admission or if they had let us know at the gate that some things were closed and maybe discounted it a little. Our main reason of taking the family was actually to see and feed the giraffes so to find out at the end that they were not out at all, along with the petting zoo closure was disappointing. Just prepare to spend about 1.5 to 2 hours with driving thru and also keep in mind that admission doesn't include any food so that's an additional expense to keep in mind: safari food, birds, goats and giraffe food if you want to do it all). Lastly be warned that you may get damage to your vehicle. My passenger and drivers side has a lot of scratches from antlers :( read more
