We requested a green to clean service, a service which we have happily paid for before and had good results. However, this time the service was terrible and the communication during the time of service was little to none. FOUR times they came out and dumped chemicals in our pool and called it good to swim in when it most definitely was not. Chemicals we were willing to pay for since they were used in our pool. Not only was our pool still dirty, my husband had to help the technicians. We should be charging a $75 cleaning fee for that by their standards. During the time of service it was never communicated to us that the filters of our system needed to be cleaned. It was 4 months after service that we were told it had to do with our filters. NOTHING was told to us during the time of service. If we had been told that we would have done it. Our bill was over $500 for a still dirty pool with debris still in the bottom. With just cleaning fees alone $75 x 4 = $300 which is over half the bill. This is ABSURD. I told them I would pay for all the chemicals and for 1 of the $75 cleaning fees, but not 4 of them. The GENERAL MANAGER has poor customer service and fails to recognize when a customer is unhappy with the services performed. He got an attitude with me about the amount owed for the terrible work done. All aside this company and Don choose to lose a customer over $225 (3 cleaning fees of $75) instead of swallow his pride and help with a solution on how they can do better. Don threatened to take us to court... Don tried to tell me that they came out TWICE the first time to clean our pool yet the total for that service was $125...less than 2 cleaning fees of $75 This company doesn't care about the customer they care about being right and the money. 25% clarity from start to finish. Outstanding service, knowledgeable and personable team members, qualified service techs, quality parts and a reasonable business in its customer interactions. These comments are from a former Reliability Engineer with many years experience analyzing failures of: equipment; maintainer and operator actions; organizational & training environments; and related systems. We have had Texoma Country Pools and Spas take care of our pool for 9 years. We are first time pool owners, are older and retired. We were surprised in learning how much there is to know and do to keep a pool with the associated equipment properly maintained and serviced. Wish we could say we have done that well, but we have stumbled a number of times. TCP&S has helped us get "right" after those stumbles. During service calls, their expert service reps have spent extra time with us explaining how parts of the equipment work, why certain issues came up, what settings / procedures are recommended etc. There have been many opportunities to take advantage of the situation and charge us more .... they did not. In fact, when there are multiple options to resolve an issue, they explain those, the costs, and the pros and cons of each option. I over-research everything. I am very pleased to see that for many of the low ratings with detailed complaints here, TCP&S took the time to provide their record of the details in a rebuttal. The obvious misrepresentations in some of the complaints are eye-opening. My compliments to Kara for her help over the years and to Ryan for his most recent service call. My view is if you have an issue and are reasonable with TCP&S, an acceptable compromise can be achieved. There is good reason why this company has been in business so long and occasionally has backlogs. read more

After 25 years with them and over $50,000 (remodel, purchases, repairs), I AM DONE. Courtney and Shane have been the best (and Shane's dad seems like a good dude). Kara is rude and unprofessional. I'm not sure if she has some autism spectrum disorder or what which may contribute to her inability to understand how she comes off, but her lack of tact and lack of respect for the customer is awful. Maybe she is unaware of it or having a bad day, but this is not the first time I have run into this with her. I have a pool pump that they do not sell. I did NOT need it installed electronically. I needed the plumbing around it connected to the pump as I don't do that repair very well and I have some air leaks at various places that I wanted repaired (all in the plumbing). Kara stated, "we don't work on equipment that you did not purchase from us." First, if you sell equipment at a competitive price, I will purchase from you (as I have in the past). Second, if you offered more brand choices, I would as well. The pump I purchased has a great warranty and the best reviews of all pumps I considered. An added bonus was that it is less expensive than many bigger brands out there. So, knowing they would not help me, I asked if she had someone she could refer to me to. She said she did not. As a business owner myself, if I cannot (or will not in this case) help a customer, I will GLADLY help them find someone who can help them. This way, they are leaving me POSITIVE reviews and are ensuring that I return to them the NEXT time they need something. Within 5 minutes I had two REPUTABLE companies ready to assist me right away. I considered posting this on social media for more people to see and I still may, but right now I'm too angry to not be hateful. At this point, since Sherman now has quite a few good options for pool builds and repairs, I would steer clear of Kara and Texoma Country Pools and Spas. read more

We were excited to get TCP to do service for our pool, but that's when things when down hill. We were charged for cleaning, and part of that service is empty the baskets. Apparently, they like to empty the baskets on our lawn. We got nice white rings on our concrete from the bucket of chlorine the service tech made. We were willing to let it all go, then this past week they took our pool vacuum without notice on Jan 2nd, on Jan5th an employee named Courtney call me and said I needed to pay $213 for a repair on the vacuum, I asked for an invoice and got hanged up on. Upon calling another person named Jeff, who was more stable I agreed to the repair. Today Jan 8th the pool vacuum was dropped on top of pool storage box, not installed with a bag of parts. I installed but the vacuum didn't work. TCP is demanding payment. I spoke with the owner and he said everything I explained was not true???? The fact still remains we have a vacuum supposed to have been repaired, and they refuse to come out and make sure it works or properly fixed unless I pay for another service charge. I have had nothing but a stellar review about Texoma Country Pools and Spas. They did everything that was promised in my contract and continue to help me out with new pool owner questions. We did have some settling of concrete between the deck that was poured and the coping. As soon as we were out of the summer heat, these guys came back and replaced any cracked or chipped coping and resealed the stripping that goes around the pool. Their design team is awesome! We did have some issues at first with maintaining a consistent schedule for pool cleaning, but that has worked itself out. If I have any questions or issues, i can call or text and they have the service people there same day or next. Their install guys did a great job and left my property super clean and we are LOVING our new addition to our home. 10/10 read more

They were supposed to come out and get all the sand and silt out of the bottom of the pool. Young man was here and skimmed the top of the pool, did a little scrub work, and threw some shock and my shark in and left. Needless to say my pool is still filthy. Very disappointed In response to your reply Don. I posted the review on behalf of my grandparents. This was after my grandmother called to follow up and the girl on the phone pretty much called her a liar and said to call back in a few days if it hadn't cleared up. Someone showed up to clean it again today but that was never communicated to us on the phone! When I moved into our new house in Sherman, I needed some initial pool service. I called Texoma Country Pools and it turns out that they are the ones who originally built the pool! They were extremely responsive to a simple call and they went above and beyond. The manager (sorry I can't remember his name) came out personally to show me how to use the equipment and he scheduled a service. The team who came out were great. They guided my wife and me on pool upkeep, filter maintenance, and they advised on future issues to be aware of and how to manage them. They took the time to show us what was necessary and we never felt rushed. Great team! read more

I just called to set up pool service and KARA told me she would never service this home then started going off about the owners of the house I rent from ( not realizing that i rent the home from my boss so I know them). KARA was calling the owners names and telling me confidential information about them and their billing. Kara was probably the most unprofessional, deranged person I have EVER dealt with. Kara's rage and attitude was honestly so embarrassing if I were the owner of the company I would not want her dealing with my customers and I would never want to be a customer if they are so willing to give out private information or slander people. read more

Why is it that people only write reviews when their expectations have not been met? Those are the people who expect "MORE" than the other people and are too into themselves to write a great review. I have been going to Texoma Pool and Spa for over a year. I bought my TidalFit Swim Spa through them. From day one they have been professional and prompt with their service. They have driven 60 miles (one way) out to our place and have always been accommodating and professionally prompt. These are great people to work with and we will continue to work with. Texoma was recommended to use for regular pool cleaning/service. Folks. Don't bother to call. They are TURNING AWAY BUSINESS. they said they were full, probably should add a truck, but they haven't. They were proud to tell me they took care of 250 pools. They weren't even interested in taking my name in case they had an "Opening". Alrighty then!! I am getting out google earth and going to get together enough pools for a day route for a really great pool company that just replaced my filter and pump. A bit pricey but they do a pretty good job. However, they will not text, call, or ring the doorbell if access is not unlocked and open when they get there to work. Instead, they take a picture and send you a text and you have to wait for the next regular service day for service. As they are on their phones the entire time they are working it should not be a problem to text or call us. We have a security gate for a reason and don't feel secure when it is open for hours. As elderly women, it's frightening to walk out into the yard and see a person trying to break into your vehicle. You don't recover from that quickly or easily. We are looking for a new service that will be here at a particular time rather than a 2 hr. Window, or will text, call, or ring the door bell when on their way or they are here. read more

Out of principle this requires a response. I will provide the facts to the false statements made by this company. We have found that it is just easier to work with other companies and correct all of the issues ourselves since we tried and tried to have resolutions by this company, but received excuses each time instead. Company comment: We have inspected all the issues you have brought to our attention including a few you haven't mentioned in your review. Fact: All items in my initial review had been reported and not all have been inspected. Company comment: Our job superintendent has driven to your house many times in the last 1 1/2 years since your pool was completed to investigate issues with equipment not working properly. A few times it has been operator error or lack of maintenance, we expect that with new pool owners, and gladly correct those at no charge. Fact: Once the 1 year warranty time frame was up, the job superintendent (who was very helpful, Shannon) stopped responding and coming to our home. All items that he had to come to the home on were due to items breaking and stopped working, none were operator error or lack of maintenance. I am now working directly with manufacturers to have items corrected. I have received a new Pentair Racer after this company frankensteined the one I had because parts of it kept falling apart. The heatpump never worked, and was confirmed that it was not working by the manufacturer who has removed it from our property providing us a refund. Company comment: We have good concrete driveways, sidewalks, etc, with no cracks anywhere. It is the same soil as near the pool. The concrete poured around the pool cracked everywhere within 1 MONTH of installation. It is a very poor job. Fact: I requested that the deck dowel damage be corrected and received no response. I certainly never refused. It was after no responses that I finally posted my review. Company comment: We apologized for driving over the field lines. Our inspection didn't indicate any obvious damage to the field lines, ie: crushed pipe, water ponding etc. so we asked you to have your septic guy to inspect the system to determine exactly what the problem is because it doesn't appear the field lines are damaged. This happened in July of 2015 and as of today we have not been notified of any septic system inspected. Fact: I thank the company for their delayed apology, but they have not inspected this as stated. We are in the process of having the lines redone and the septic system 100% corrected for a properly working system. read more

It took Texoma Country Pools and Spas nearly 4 months to construct our pool/spa. We signed a contract on Feb. 5th, they didn't begin construction until March 5th and by Memorial Day we still didn't have a pool we could swim in. They were the most difficult contractors to deal with in the entire construction of our new home, barns and fencing. There were several missed scheduled start dates, no shows and excuse after excuse. Their employees were argumentative and not at all interested in pleasing us or our home builder. In the end, I realized that although we had plumbing and a heater for our spa, there was no blower or air intake for therapeutic jets. We were told (and our contract stated) that the spa would have 6 therapeutic jets and in fact when completed did not. We were told they could add a blower at our expense. Because this group of people were so difficult to deal with, I hired another company to install the blower and to do cleaning and maintenance on our pool. I certainly do not recommend Texoma Country Pools and Spas! read more
