Absolutely the worst place to receive healthcare. I waited over 3 hours at TGH Urgent Care in Apollo Beach, only to be completely let down by their staff. After finally being seen, they failed to send my prescription to the pharmacy -- something I didn't find out until I got there. I had to drive all the way back just to get it sorted out, wasting even more of my day. Totally disorganized, incredibly slow, and not worth the frustration. I checked in to get an employment physical at 10:19 AM at 12:10. I still have not been seen the front desk is unable to give me an estimated wait time.. I was charged for my employment physical when I checked in at 10:19 and was just told they could not give me an estimated wait time. I had a really frustrating and disappointing experience at this urgent care. I arrived, checked in, and waited over two hours to see a doctor--which might be understandable if the clinic was packed, but it wasn't. What really upset me was that two other patients who arrived 30-45 minutes after me were seen and discharged nearly 30 minutes before I was even called back. There was no proactive communication by the front desk. When I told them 2 people who came in after me were called back before me, she stated the time they checked in and then realized they did indeed check in 30 minutes after me, however, did nothing to correct the delay. I felt completely ignored and forgotten. When you're not feeling well, the last thing you want is to feel like you're not being prioritized or even acknowledged. Based on how quickly others were seen, my wait should've been around an hour--definitely not more than two. They seriously need to work on their patient flow! This experience left me feeling overlooked and disrespected. I wouldn't recommend this location unless you have absolutely no other choice. Demand to see a Dr. PA's are clueless. Was diagnosed with upper respiratory bacterial infection and was prescribed prednisone after a teledoc said I most likely had pneumonia. Told me to come back if things got worse. Well, they did and I went back to teledoc to get scripts which should have been prescribed in the first place. 14 days of illness because a PA didn't give me the meds I needed. Could have died from this incorrect diagnosis and irresponsible PA. read more

ZERO STARS!!! DO NOT COME HERE IF YOU WANT TO BE SEEN IN A TIMELY MANNER. It's a Tuesday and arrived at 10:30 in the morning. Been sitting here for over 3 hours and still have not been seen. There are under 5 people here and they have only been calling people in to see a healthcare worker about one person per hour! They do not tell you the wait will be VERY LONG so you can go somewhere else. It's unprofessional and heartless! The music is so loud in the waiting room it was pounding in my head. My head is now killing me. Being in this place actually made me sick. Then they had someone go in before us who had arrived 15 minutes after we did . When we asked about it they checked the check in times and verified that we were there first. All she said was she didn't know how it happened that the person who arrived after us was seen by healthcare personnel before us. Was called into the patient care room after 4 hour wait where I could still hear the loud music coming from the waiting room. When we received our patient summary after finally being seen it written that the injury was on the right side of the body when it on the left! Very incompetent and unprofessional! read more

This place SUCKS. Do NOT waste your time going here. My first attempt going here was for my 2 year old toddler who was throwing up and dehydrated. They told me I had a 2.5 hour wait so I walked out and went to another place. Today was my most recent experience with this shit show of a place. They told me upon arrival no more than 1 hour. I sat there for 2.5 hours and they continued to tell me I'm the next patient for an additional hour and a half. Next they tell me it's another hour so now I'm lookin at 3 hours. They finally tell me there's only 1 doctor with a room of 30 ppl waiting. I ended up walking out. This place is a joke. The staff doesn't seem to give a crap. Terrible company here. They refused to take care of me on a drug test and claimed their policy and they lied it's another complain that stated forms of wanting confidential information. The manager Alexander Cadavid PA-C lied to a patient and then couldn't provide proof just to come back with paperwork for a company for their employees. Sierra blond lady at the front was rude as hell and thinks she owns the company. They gave TAMPA GENERAL a bad taste in the mouth. ILL NEVER DO BUSY EITH THESE PEOPLE BAY CARE OR OTHER COMPANIES WHO DONT THINK THEY OWN YOU. Staff is rude and uneducated. I needed a TB test for nursing school & the nurse/MA administered the injection wrong, the wheel never formed under my skin. Not to mention she had fake nails that were way too long, which is a big NO NO in health care! When coming back after a couple days to get my results read, I was seen in a timely manner. However, I was sent back to the lobby to wait for a brief moment while the health care provider signed my form. I ended up waiting for 35 minutes when I finally went to the front desk to ask about my form. The blond girl at the front desk said, "oh yeah I'm sorry I've had your form". If it was ready, why didn't you call my name?? She was too busy playing on her phone. I highly don't recommend this place. I would give zero stars if I could. I was hesitant to visit this location based on the previous reviews, but I felt that bad. So I arrived to the location and was greeted by the young lady at the desk. I completed the necessary paperwork and they got me in as soon as they could. The nurse (Jenn)who took my vitals was the superstar of the day. She was so patient and kind almost thought we were friends. She got me in a room, gave me a blanket, dimmed the lights and allowed me to rest while I waited for the DO. The DO came in, talked to me, examined the pics of the aliens that came out of my nose earlier in the morning and took some test. My visit was over in an hour and half. Overall, I hope I won't need to go back anytime soon, but if I do, I will return happily. They were great! read more

Front desk intake person was not forthcoming or informative. Had multiple HIPAA violations including speaking on a speaker phone about my personal situation and information infront of others. Asked questions she already wrote down. Intake and waiting was over an hour, even with an appointment, due to filling out online chart and then refilling out paperwork manually. I had to ask about the workman's comp protocols since there was not options online, and double paperwork could have been avoided if asked appropriate questions when you walked through the door. Total time 2 hours and waiting room only had 2 people during this timeframe. read more

They gave me a referral to be seen by a dermatologist I was TEXTED 2 hours later being told the referral is no good because of my insurance... they knew my insurance plan when I checked in so why still see me?anyway I was told I'll have to go be seen at my primary care in the text they sent. Just spent 2.5 hours waiting to be seen. I DID have an appointment but I'm not sure that those matter. I decided to leave after an emergency came in requiring an ambulance. (This emergency came in after I'd already waited 2 hours) Gave it another 30 minutes to see if I'd be seen but was not. I do not recommend this location. I have gone to another TGH Urgent Care and we were seen within an hour. I believe it's this location and lack of enough staff. read more

Had a horrible sore throat, fever and body aches a few weeks back. Saw Elizabeth at TGH Apollo Beach. She had wonderful bed side manner! She did a strep test and it was negative but thought it was wrong and I was positive. Thankfully she was right! After 2 days of antibiotics I was better! read more

0 stars!!! I took my kiddos here after they were all diagnosed with strep throat and given scripts for Amoxicillin. I noticed the doses did not make sense on the bottle. I took the bottles back to the pharmacist and she said you are right. They gave you the wrong dose. I was informed to go back to the urgent care to have the doctor call in a new script that was correct. I explained the issue to the urgent care workers. It took them over an hour to figure out the error. One of the nurses said "we can't make errors on medication dosages because epic configures it for us." Truly the person sitting behind that computer is capable of making mistakes. The dr told the nurse that they thought that the prescriber meant to make his dose TID but made it BID instead. So essentially my 60 lb kid was on a much higher dose than my 80 lb kid on a weight based medication. The nurse tried to blame it on the pharmacy , and the pharmacy printed me a copy of how they received the order. The provider didn't even provide a weight so that the pharmacy could check their math. That should be a required safety measure. 2 sets of eyes are always better than 1. The nurses made me feel like they didn't have time to deal with me, and their facility wasted yet another hour of my time. No apology from them. read more

I'd give less than 1 star if I could. Made an appointment for 1:15 for a drug screening for a job. Once arrived then they informed me that they didn't have the correct cups so they had to figure out what they could do. Not sure why they didn't call when the appointment was made to advise they didn't have the proper cups for the drug screening. Waited over an hour for them to figure out a solution. The testing has to be done through a specific portal that gives you options where to take it and this was one of the locations that it said you could test at. However the girl at the counter said they couldn't process it that way and that I would have to self pay and submit results on my own. Spent $50 to be told by the company this is not true and they couldn't accept it like this and that this location can and should've gone through the company's portal. The entire experience was so ridiculous and frustrating. Go to a different urgent care if you can. read more
