This was excellent! Stopped here with a friend recently for a late weekday lunch. We each ordered one of the lunch specials that comes with 2 entrees, rice and naan, and everything was delicious! The man working there was friendly and knowledgeable, and the restaurant was clean with plenty of open tables to choose from. My only suggestion for improvement is that I'd love to see additional paneer options for the lunch special- I would have absolutely ordered 2 different paneer entrees, but I had butter chicken for my second choice and it was also delicious! Tip: parking in DT Wheaton can be crazy sometimes. If you're planning to arrive here at a specific time, definitely give yourself extra time to find parking and walk. read more

A friend and I stopped in for lunch on a Thursday and we both loved it. Qcurry's is located in downtown Wheaton. Parking can be tricky especially during weekends but, there is plenty of street parking and garages close by. The place was empty but we did come in for a late lunch. We did see a few people coming and going for carry out orders too. The restaurant is kept clean and staff members were very helpful and kind. They did try to upsell items but were respectful when I declined. I decided to go with 1 of their quick combos, Combo B. It comes with 2 entrees, rice, and naan. For ~$13 this is a great option to try a variety. I tried the chicken tikka masala and the saag paneer. It was flavorful and delicious. For appetizers, we had an order of samosas. They were very tasty! For entrees, we ordered butter chicken, chicken saag, and malai kofta. The chicken saag was my favorite, but the butter chicken and malai kofta were also DELICIOUS. The chicken was super tender, and all the curries were so flavorful. It was also my first time having malai kofta, and the dumplings were so good. We got paratha, roti, and rice. The roti and paratha were both great. Rice was pretty standard. Finally, we got an order of kheer for dessert. It was very tasty! Sweetness levels were perfect. Qcurrys has a nice, easy to find cornerlocation on Front St. in Wheaton. I ordered the Vegetable Samosa appetizer, garlic naan, Chicken Vindaloo, and Aloo Zeera, along with a mango shake. Everything was delicious. The portion sizes were good, the pricing reasonable, and the service was prompt and professional. It is also a very nice and clean dine-in spot. The samosas were especially a standout - very large, crisp where you want it to be crisp, and soft where you want it to be soft. Tamarind and mint sauces were very good as well. I over - ordered intentionally because this restaurant is a fairly lengthy drive from my house, so I wanted to try out a couple of things. I took much of the tasty Aloo Zeera to go, and enjoyed it the next morning, along with some naan which I turned into naan avocado toast. Yay! So happy I finally found good Indian food near me! Walked in to pick up our order and was greeted with a smile right away. The staff was friendly. Inside was cute and really clean. We ordered a very basic meal consisting of Yellow Dal, Aloo Jeera, Jeera Rice and Paneer Tikka. The paneer tikka was really delicious but a bit pricey. One of the few Indian restaurants open in the afternoon. Service is good, but all food came at once, so next time, I will ask them to stagger the app and then main. The food is served on the paper plates. Beer glass was plastic. Also, onion and chili are not complimentary. The prices r in line with other indian restaurants, so these options do not feel valuable. Mango Lassi was good, neither super sweet nor super thick consistency. Tried aloo tikki chaat. It felt a little dry for my taste. The owner recommended that next time, ask for chutnies on the side. Third time here. I wish we lived closer or we'd be there a couple times a month. Absolutely fantastic. My wife and I got 4 dishes to shares for a few nights and each was awesome. This place is wonderful! The food is flavorful and well prepared, and the service is super nice. We've been here about once a month for the past year. We've especially like the benghan barta, channa masala, saag paneer, daal. It's all good! Great food and wonderful service! Our server helped us pick the medium spice level and it was perfect and not too spicy. The menu shows every vegan item and he noticed me ordering all vegan things and confirmed that i didn't want butter on my roti bread. So I stopped by here for lunch today while in the area. The food was decent. It's pretty much a fast casual service model, because I ordered at the counter and they brought the food to my table. What I really wanted was a 2-item combo with Paneer and Daal, but they did not budge from their menu and pre-prepared 5 items to choose from. By the way, these items seem to be fixed and hard-coded, so you can't really ever try something different. 2 of the options were chicken and so as a vegetarian, you are really left with just 3 options to choose from and that's really limiting. I offered to pay a bit extra and get the items I wanted, but nope. So I was tempted to just leave and then I figured I will just get the full portions and just take the leftovers home. The food itself was fine. But for a quick service model, I paid approx $33 for 2 entrees and one garlic naan. No drinks. The lunch deal is much more palatable, but again, the inflexibility made it... moot. I'm going to give this place an extra star, just because they seem to be a newer place and seem to have impeccable reviews otherwise. So I get that you can't please everyone and maybe what I was looking for was just too unique. Personally, I wouldn't go back for a lunch visit given the cost factor. We typically head to India Palace but since they are closed on Tuesday's we decided to try Qcurrys instead. It compares favorably with slight differences in taste. Curry definitely has the edge with samosas - they are fantastic. And though I would classify this as "fast casual " I think the decor/atmosphere is nicer than India Palace. Downside is that it's a little difficult to find parking but there is a parking garage about 2 blocks away. read more

I am writing a second review and a "redemptive story". I visited this new Indian restaurant when it first opened several times in downtown Wheaton. I wanted to love it.....but I didn't. Food tasted good, but the cardboard plates, plastic utensils and having to order at the counter cheapened the experience for me. I genuinely liked the taste of the food but it felt pricey for what it was. My youngest son at his urging suggested we try it again and I reluctantly agreed. We had one of their new lunch combo meals which was new. Actually a very good value and we had the butter chicken and chicken tikka masala. Both were excellent. They now offer real silverware if you choose and a real plate. Kudos for listening to your customers and making it a much more enjoyable experience with a better value point! Decided to try this New Indian Restaurant in downtown Wheaton by Metra train station . We ordered the combination lunch special which included a choice of three entrees , Nan and rice. We ordered the Butter Chicken, Chicken Tikka and the Saag Paneer . The dishes were spiced perfectly and the chicken was high quality. The rice was perfect .I have eaten a Lot of Indian food and must say this has to be some of the best I have tasted.My husband had a Mango Lassi which he enjoyed and we thought that the Galub Jamun was great. The Owner is friendly and gracious.Our only regret was the Nan tasted more like pita bread than Nan .We will return soon to try some Hot Vindaloo!So happy to have a great local Indian restaurant this Good!! read more

Three family members walked there on a Friday night after having a drink down the road at a more crowded establishment. It was a welcome reprieve to come in, sit down in the welcoming atmosphere and eat wonderful food. I would suggest that if you don't know whether to get something mild or medium, I would play it safe and order mild. The waitstaff was kind, the restaurant pleasant and the bathroom was spotless (crazy you may think, but I really think this is important). Clearly they take a lot of pride in their business. We started with 2 orders of samosas since there are only 2 to an order. Delicious! Then we ordered chicken tikka masala, chicken vindaloo and lamb biryani which was super.
