We had someone come out to look at what glass we needed to have replaced. We were told we'd receive a written estimate. Never received the estimate. Called the company several days later about the fact we never received a quote/estimate. We were told it would be "resent" (funny, how can you resend something that was never sent?) We are still waiting to receive a quote/estimate. Guess they didn't want our business for whatever reason. Wolud not recommend this company in any way! read more

For a company that has been around for a while I expected better customer service , I called to see if they could help me possibly , get an estimate , a gentlemen answered the phone ...very friendly he told me he had to place me on hold , i was on hold for 5 mins and just when I was going to hang up ... I heard him come back , only to find out he took me off hold , him and a lady were talking back and forth how she didn't want to take the call, he said what do I tell her ? We called & they sent a guy out to measure for a shower door. He took forever to measure & we expected a quote within a day or so. It has now been three weeks. I've left 2 voicemails (due to "high call volume" not because I called after hours) and my hubby called as well, although he did not leave a message. We have since ordered from Samuels (they were very professional when they measured & actually answer the phone). In case you wonder why they earned 2 stars, they weren't the worst. I called yesterday to get a quote for a windshield replacement. The woman who answered asked questions, but when she asked me certain things about whether my windshield had more advanced features, and I hesitated, because I didn't know what she meant, but after her explanation, I realized that no, I didn't have all the extras. For some reason, she seemed like she really wasn't sure I didn't have the features so she requested my vin number. She said she would call me back. I waited several hours, with no callback. I finally called back and she said she hadn't gotten a response, from whoever was checking the vin, and that was why she hadn't called me. I knew they closed at 5p, and it is now the next day at 10:30a and still no call. I guess they don't need my business !! Today I called another place, Tommy's, they were absolutely wonderful, the lady was friendly, and asked me the same questions, and no problem. I'm scheduled for Friday at my request. I hope the owners of Thad Zigler read this post. By-the-way, initially, I thought I was speaking to a man because I said "yes sir" at one time, and they didn't correct me, but when I called back she sounded like a woman, I realized they were the same person, since they seemed like they were in a hurry to get me off the line, and their tone was substantially rude. Thad Zigler has been around a long time, too bad they have someone like that answering their phone. They're going to continue to lose business. read more

NEVER USE THAD ZIEGLER GLASS COMPANY!!! On Saturday, June 6, 2015 I called Thad Ziegler glass company for an emergency service call. One of my employees had accidentally chipped a window glass pane at the home of one of our customers, while working on their home. I immediately went online to find a glass company that could come out and fix it. I called the emergency after hours number they took my information later an installer called me and actually went out to the job site. He said he was not able to change it because it had to be special ordered (which is totally understandable) but that he had measured and someone would contact me on Monday or Tuesday. Those days came by and nothing...I tried to be patient. I called several times the next week and left messages with all my information and no one ever returned my call. Three weeks later I stopped by in person (being that I drove in from Austin) and the location I stopped at said they had no idea what I was talking about and that someone from the downtown office would contact me. The downtown office contacted me at the end of the day and the only excuse they gave me is that they had written down my number wrong. Frustrated but still willing to give them another chance, I asked when the window would be available for install and they said the following week. The following week came and nothing...they said they would send someone out because the measurements were wrong, and to wait another week, another week went by and they said they couldn't install the window because it had come in and they didn't know where it was that it was possibly on another truck...to make a long story short today, August 5 I got a call asking for payment because the window pane was installed yesterday...when I asked what the cost would be and if they would be willing to give me a discount since they had made so many mistakes and took two months to install a simple window pane...the lady I spoke to coldly said "no...that is the final price". I WILL NEVER USE THAD ZIEGLER GLASS COMPANY, and will make sure others know of my experience. No wonder they are not rated by the BBB -- Thad Ziegler I own a BBB rated business that prides itself in it's integrity which you obviously have none...my customer was patient and so was I, but to not show any sign of an apology is bad business.
