I got the Panang curry with chicken and it was fantastic. The creamy base was super flavorful and aromatic. I got the level 4 spiciness and it was the perfect heat level for me. The smooth creaminess of the base contrasted nicely with the natural spiciness of the dish. The green and red bell peppers added a very nice crunch and freshness. Overall, the dish was amazing 5/5. I ordered 3 noodles for take out: pad thai, pad won son and the drunken noodle. But when I got home, I found the following: 1. they gave me 2 drunken and 1 pad Thai instead. 2. I ordered beef as protein for all 3, but there is none in pad Thai. 3. The drunken noodle tasted awful. noodle was all saggy and broken, flavor was odd. My go-to place for Thai food! It's one of the more authentic places that doesn't dilute the flavors. The staff speaks English, but the owners are definitely Thai/Laos. My go-to dishes are combination drunken noodles or combination red curry. For an appetizer, I recommend the stuffed chicken wings. My only complaint, and this applies to almost all Thai restaurants, is that I prefer a lot of rice with my curry so I almost always have to request an extra serving. read more

I started with the dumplings and they were pretty good. They were cooked well and had ample filling. For my main I had the panang curry with chicken. This is a staple for me when eating Thai food. Chicken Satay was fried, didn't come on a stick, and there was no cucumber with it. The Thai basil chicken was pretty good, had good spice to it. The red curry pork had way too much coconut milk so it had no curry flavor to it, very bland. The chicken fried rice was good but the chicken in it had a hard texture. There was no sticky rice option on the menu and I couldn't even add a side of sticky rice (how does a Thai food place not have sticky rice??), I would not order food here again. read more

I'd like to try more entrees before I say it's the best but, what I've had has been very good!! Crab Rangoon was super creamy and crispy without all the grease. Best I've had in NWA. Chicken satay was good, not dry like some restaurants. Great egg rolls, again not greasy but crispy! Dumplings were also very good, I've only had them fried so can't comment on steamed but gonna try that next. Lo mein was pretty standard. Pad See-ew was very good, but next time I'll be sure to try it spicier. All in all very good, looking forward to trying more entrees read more

If you're going to lunch and only have an hour- avoid thIs place. We came in and there was one large group of about 8-10 and a few small tables. The water we were given had a super weird taste. We were tolD the lunch specials- but there wasn't anything "special" about them. Only one curry is actualky vegetarian although it isn't listed on the menu. We had to flag down the waitress to get refills- to ask to order- to get our check. It also took approximately 45 minutes after ordering to get food with no explanation or updates. We stopped on a whim after visiting the amazeum and were wowed by this little gem. We have finally found a Green Curry in NWA which rivals or favorite before moving here. It will knock your socks off with the depth of flavor. My drunken noodles were very tasty and both of my kids ate free! You get a free kids meal for an adult meal purchase and as you can see in the pictures, the boys dishes were the same size as the adults. The restaurant is unassuming but the food is on point. This is a two part review. If you have dinner there on a busy night - LEAVE!!!!!!!! As of now they are really focusing their efforts on take out orders. So the reality is if you wish to dine in, you're better off ordering ahead and then it will be ready boxed up and ready to eat. So if you do not order ahead, do not expect your order to come out timely for the aforementioned reason. But from the looks of it, if you do order ahead, you should have good/prompt service. Thai food is one of my favorites, I make it at home, and I am fortunate as I travel a lot and have had the best Thai in the country. I would give this a weak 4-Star, 3.5 if It were a choice. There were three of us, and each had different menu items. Entrees were Drunken Noodles with chicken, Pad Thai, and Pad Talay. Appetizers included Chicken Satay, Spring Rolls, and fried dumplings. Ambiance: None to speak of. It is a tiny restaurant with very few tables. Set up more to be carry-out and home delivery service. They have a couple of TVs playing a looped video of a whole hog roasted in an open Asian market being chopped/served up with a butcher knife. Just not a date night restaurant. They're just not anything interesting or a theme. Service needs some work and order. As stated, the place is small with about 6 tables set up for carry-out and delivery. There is no dedicated wait staff. Your server takes the call-in orders, runs the register, packs to-go meals, drive-window attendant, deals with all home delivery providers, and when they have time wait tables. Portions are large. If you go home hungry, it is your fault, or you did not like it. Considering the cost makes it an excellent value. In fact, if two adults can agree upon an entrée, they can easily share the entrée if you order a couple of appetizers. Food was acceptable, just not memorable. Hits and misses. For example, I had Drunken Noodles. Lacked the intense garlic and basil flavors and no heat from Thai hot pepper. All our Noodles were a bit gummy and lacked the kiss-of-the-dragon flavor. By Kiss of the Dragon, I mean the noodles did not get slightly scorched from an intensely hot Woc commonly found in excellent Thai restaurants. The appetizers were good--overall acceptable. I recommend giving the place a try. Just don't take the significant other there for a romantic dinner that you can try carry-out service. read more

Thai Basil is a great Thai place to go to in the area. My order is almost always Pad Thai with Chicken or Tofu and if I don't get that I get the Panang curry. Both of these are very good options and I highly recommend. My family and I also love the Tom Ka (#11) soup, it's very refreshing and warming, definitely a great option on a cold day! We also enjoy putting our rice in this soup. I give this 4 stars however because you have to be willing to wait. Especially if you're going for lunch. This place takes a pretty long time getting your food to the table especially when they have a lot of customers but it is very much worth the wait. I ordered over the phone for pick up to take home, so that is what my review will be for. I'll revise it when I order in the restaurant. I looked up the menu online and it was hard to choose! So many items sounded delicious. I absolutely love Thai food. I settled on the Red Curry - chicken. It came with white rice on the side as well. I was so excited to get home and eat it since it smelled so good! Well, it was very very yummy!! I want some right now haha. I also asked for it to be a level 4 spicy. I love spicy food. Normally I say 5, but that night it was a 4. I felt like the level of spicy was perfect. I had enough for leftovers the next day as well. The customer service here was great over the phone and in person. The women at the front who helped me was super friendly and happy. The wait wasn't very long. Over the phone they told me 10-15 minutes. I had to make a stop somewhere, so I got to the restaurant probably 20 minutes after the call or so. My food was ready for me when I got there. Fellow helpers you are right on!! This spot is as good as our favorite spot at home in California! Service was great and very friendly! Decor is clean and nice. But I'd love to see more of their cultural decor. Try to miss there lunch rush. They are very close to WalMart headquarters. Price, flavor and service are all exceptional. We had their steamed dumplings, 2 orders of drunken noodles and larb salad. Would have loved a Sapporo or Singha but they only serve Coke products.
