This was quite a unique, but most enjoyable massage experience. It's a very small facility, not a lot of bells and whistles, but hard working staff in this local establishment in Laguna Beach! They were very friendly, affordable, and offer many hours of service to choose from, as you'll see in my photos posted here. This is not your typical chain store treatment. They use their own techniques, including deep tissue massage by walking on your back I was a bit surprised and I actually enjoyed it! I'm going to return soon to see if I really benefited from it. But I did feel great after my session! They also only cover you with a soft, large towel instead of a blanket...I think it suits their techniques better than a blanket? I just endured - quite literally - one of the least enjoyable "massages" I have ever had to tolerate. I told masseuse I did NOT want her walking on me so she did anyway? I asked her to focus on my sore mid-back yet she MIGHT have spent all of 60-90 seconds (out of what was SUPPOSED to be an hour) on it? Instead she seemed more intent on causing me uncommon (massage) pain by digging her fingers/knuckles into and around the muscles around my shoulder blades for several minutes at a tone. Then, topping it all off, when she (MERCIFULLY!) said my "hour" was up, upon checking my watch I noticed my "60 minutes" session lasted less than 45 minutes! Needless to say a highly-disappointing "service" and a complete waste of my time and money. Laguna Beach deserves MUCH better than this. read more

I was excited to try this place near home for regular massages but I was unfortunately quite disappointed. Despite having an appointment they seem to be short staffed and unable to provide individualized service. As soon as I got roomed and started my massage, someone came into the room to speak my masseuse without knocking. This happened twice. They decided to switch my masseuse. While giving me a massage, my masseuse kept leaving to answer phone calls and address other customers who came into the store. Not the privacy and quiet/ serene experience I was hoping for. Waste of time and money. I did not get the massage I requested. When I pointed out during the 60th minute of a 90 minute massage that she had neglected my back and shoulders and had focused almost exclusively on my legs, she began arguing with me. The massage table is pushed up against the wall so she couldn't reach parts of me unless she walked on me which was her intention. I am smaller than the average person and getting on in years. I gave the walking on me a go - but no. It was too heavy for me. After that, I realized the therapist's skill set was limited. I was visiting Laguna Beach for a 4-day weekend and staying next-door to this spa. I had walked around this neighborhood one night and noticed the spa, nestled in-between a nail salon and fun art gallery. It was an inconspicuous little place, so I almost didn't notice it. I decided to call the next day to see if I could get in. And Yes, Cici was available! I went in for an hour massage (which is a reasonable price, BTW). I got settled on the table, it was so warm and cozy. So, I knew I liked deep tissue massage, and that's what I asked her for. When Cici came in she asked me if she could walk on my back. I was a bit unsure, because I was SO BOUND up and in a LOT of pain in my mid- and lower-back, I thought it might hurt, but she reassured me she would take it easy. That turned out to be the best thing I could have done! She really stretched me out for about 1/4 of the massage by expertly walking on me. She is really tiny, and lightweight, (and nice as can be) and she has handles on the wall and the ceiling to balance herself with. I haven't had someone walk on me since I was a kid (or I did that to others as a kid). I am a petite person myself. But this technique was amazing, and she gently stretched out the knots and tension, and proceeded to the rest of my body with her hands and forearms in what was an incredibly relaxing and pain-relieving massage. It was so good that I came back the next day for 90 minutes of MORE!!! By that time I was so relaxed and good-to-go for the party that evening. Now, I'm sure she has other techniques, but I really enjoyed this style and I wish I lived closer to this spa. I'm definitely going back if/when I'm in that area again. Unfortunately I couldn't give a great review to this place. My masseuse was decent but the masseuse who did my wife's massage was probably not trained. I called 2 days prior to make the appointment and it was really quite a disappointment to have a worse than mediocre massage for my wife. And they had me pay in advance so we couldn't tip less for the sub par service. read more

I had such a wonderful massage here by a young lady named Sara. She was so professional and kind, and worked so hard to get a knot out of my neck that I had had for a week! I felt so much better afterwards. I have been to many spas, but this place is very affordable ( especially when your mom buys it as a gift for you:)) and you really get a top notch massage. I highly recommend this place. It's worth the drive if u are not in Laguna area. A wonderful treat, and you won't be disappointed! I booked massages for myself and my daughter at the same time, with only one days notice. This is a small, homey-feeling location. The massage was excellent--my masseuse gave me hard pressure (I asked for that) and was very attentive to areas of my back that were unusually tight. Goo combination of pressure and soothing touch. Called at 3:15 asked for a massage, she said not available till 4:30 I said fine maybe next time. She called me back and said 4 was fine. I got there at 3:50 and she said therapist would not be there till 4:15, I told her that I had to be out by 5, she wanted to know why and I told her why but it was not her business anyway. So she said that she would start and when the male therapist shows up he would take over I prefer a female therapist and should have been asked if it was ok but she didn't. He shows up about 4:20 and takes over weird but ok. At the end of massage he massages the my head and temples when i get home my girlfriend asks what happened to you why are your eyes so swollen? Worst massage of my life! 75% of the "massage" was with a rough towel. She literally used a towel instead of her hands. The "oil" was cold. I booked a 60 minute and she spent 50 min while I was laying on my stomach. She barely massages my legs or arms. 1 minute on my hands and did not even massage my feet. Nothing about this was enjoyable and the room was cold. I wish I could get my $65 back!!! read more
