I'm sorry, but I will never go back to this restaurant. It was my first and only time there, and here's why. (I would go to "Thai And I" in Bunnel, FL instead) 1. Instead of being greeted, I was just told to sit anywhere by a lady sitting at the bar on her laptop. I asked if they had a lunch menu (I arrived around 12 p.m.). The server said no, but they had specials. I looked at the board and it was almost impossible to read -- it honestly looked like a group of kids had gone wild on it with markers. After the first line, I thought, "Nah, I'm good." 2. I ordered the Tom Kha Gai and some spring rolls. My spouse got the Tom Kha Gai too. The rolls came out first. They were fresh, filled mostly with rice noodle and lettuce then anything else, I would think some Thai basil... nope so pretty bland. I'd give them a 2 out of 5. 3. Then someone else brought out my soup. I figured my husband's would come right behind it. Nope. We had to wait another 5 minutes for his to arrive. I ended up sitting there waiting because it's just rude to start eating without him. The soup itself was only about 8 oz, so making him wait that extra time for two identical orders with nothing different or substituted is unacceptable. 4. And the soup... it was literally the worst Tom Kha Gai I've ever tasted in my life. It tasted like they just poured hot water over a ton of chicken bouillon powder. (Same flavor as Top Ramen in the grocery store for 60 cents). There was zero lemongrass, no kaffir lime leaves flavor, no lime juice, no fish sauce, and no chili flavor at all. Just straight chicken base and water. The chicken pieces were dry dry as well like teeth smacking feeling. 5. Here's the real kicker: [[HIGHLIGHT]]They serve the soup in those little melamine bowls with the small foot at the bottom -- the kind you usually only see around the rice or salad area of buffets. I go to scoop up some chicken broth and bump the side of the bowl. The second I put that little pressure on the bowls side, the whole bowl tipped over and spilled hot soup all over my lap and the table.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Very easy to do. I jumped up and grabbed the first napkins I see, the server came over and handed me those cheap paper towels you find in elementary school bathrooms -- the ones that are brown, fall apart and don't absorb anything. Then (I'm assuming) the owner rushed over and snatched the napkins I had right out of my hands while I was trying to wipe the hot soup off my lap. The server looked embarrassed and said, "I'm sorry, but those are expensive napkins." Excuse me? I just had hot soup dumped all over me, and they're worried about a few napkins? It really showed how much they care about penny-pinching. They took away the napkins I was actually using and gave me the cheapest ones possible instead of even offering a hand towel. The fact that the soup tasted like nothing but watered-down chicken base suddenly made perfect sense. When you pinch pennies that hard, it eventually costs you your business. Sorry, but I will not be coming back to this restaurant ever again. OK food, but lousy policies. I asked if they had brown rice or wild rice because they are lower on the glycemic index than Jasmine or white. They said no, so I chose a meal that listed glass noodles instead of jasmine rice. The manager/server said and that comes with jasmine rice. I said "I don't want it. I admit I don't know much about Thai food, but this is a solid restaurant for yummy flavorful food! Clean and spacious interior with super friendly staff. It's chilly from the air conditioning, so bring a light jacket and you'll be quite comfortable. My starter of Tom Yum (hot and sour soup with mushrooms and a light sprinkle of cilantro) with shrimp had a delicious broth that was perfect for a starter. The Chicken Satay had a nice peanut sauce and a refreshing cucumber relish. I especially enjoyed the cucumber relish sauce. Our entrees were perfect portions for the lunch option. My Pad woon Sen Jae (glass noodles stir fried with egg and vegetables) was smoky with flavorful sauce. So addictive! My husband's Drunken Noodles with Chicken was equally smoky deliciousness! Perfectly prepared Jasmine rice was also served as a communal dish. The meat and seafood portions were small and seemed precooked. Doesn't matter though as it doesn't deter at all from the flavor bombs we were served! Expertly prepared food - these people know what they're doing! My wife and I got out of work early. We decided to eat some Nigiri while we waited for takeout from our favorite restaurant. We don't get out a lot with two small kids. DO NOT ORDER HERE. This place is an absolute ripoff. We ordered take out and the container of wonton soup was not even halfway full. They also serve you hot food in styrofoam containers which melt into your food. I also ordered chicken with cashew nuts and was served grilled chicken when it is usually crispy chicken when I order from here. I called to express my concerns in hopes the restaurant would make it right and the guy on the phone dismissed me and kept trying to hang up on me. He did not care. Would definitely go back. The meal I got was amazing. Can't remember the name of it but I know I had glass noodles and vegetables. Was just as good as leftovers too. I desperately craved Drunken Noodles. After reading reviews I finally figured I would give this place a shot. 1) Everyone that says they close their doors early are 100% correct. I arrived at 6:20PM (doors still opened) The 2 waitresses were very pleasant and courteous. Since I wanted take out, they directed me to that area. The man handling the phone and taking my order was pretty rude. He tells me he just got a big order in and he's sorry but he couldn't take mine. I looked at my watch to see the time, I asked when do they close. He asks what I wanted to order, I tell him, he shrugs his shoulders and says well if you want to wait but it will be an hour (it's now 6:30PM). I tell him that's fine, I can go shop and come back. While shopping at Hobby Lobby, I decide to come back before 7:30PM in case they shut the doors or that he perhaps missed putting my order in. I arrived back to the restaurant at 7:10PM and they were locking the doors!!! The waitress remembered me and let me in. My food was ready earlier than expected but it wasn't the best. I've never had drunken noodles that had corn in it. Maybe I received the "surprise" dish. Anyways, just make sure you arrive at least 45 mins before they close in order to eat here. Shrimp had to be a week old, noodles were mushy and overwhelmed with sauce and crab paste it tasted like rotting fish carcass. Not sure if they ran out of ingredients because it was the end of the night but it had no green onions, hard to tell if there was tofu, and the egg was like congealed paste. The spicy cashew chicken is very flavorful and the drunken noodles is definitely delicious and legit. I think this is the best drunken noodles I ever had in Florida. I moved from NY to Florida, I had been going to different Thai restaurants in Jacksonville, St Johns, St Augustine, Daytona Beach, Orlando and Miami, some are definitely awful, some are ok, there was 1 that I like the most before.
