We have given Wild Ginger many tries since they opened and Im happy to say they're operating like a well oiled machine. The woman who takes the phone orders is always accurate. The food is fresh and they have become our new Go To for sushi and poke bowls. They have nice sit down restaurant too! They're a fairly large restaurant that can accommodate large groups. They also serve seafood dishes: fried shrimp, fish and crab boils. My only criticism is they bring the food on noisy carts when serving to the table. The restaurants very nice inside very seafood dish great sushi bar to the right just a great ambience greeted with a smile. A hello, sat in a really nice booth. Instantly a person came over and asked me would he get me to drink so I ordered my drinks when they brought the drinks back they took my food order. I've not been a fan of many Chinese food places down here seeing as my Chinese food was always good in New England no matter where you went. My favorite place. He is so far has to be China one now. They're OK. I would recommend China one it just this place I'm not a fan, but I didn't try all the dishes on the menu only a couple that didn't cut it for me sorry. read more

Came here for the first time with a few friends several weeks ago. I had been to the one in Daytona Beach two years ago, but this was my first time at the Palm Coast location. I thought it was kind of funny that they still had to core from the previous restaurant which was a seafood restaurant. It wasn't too busy, but also not dead at the same time. Hubby and I decided to have a 'special' lunch for our special day. This is our first time and wanted to check out this relatively new restaurant. Well, so far, it doesn't disappoint! As we entered, we were happily greeted by the hostesses. Our server, Sierra, is so pleasant and attentive! She has gauged the timings between courses perfectly which allowed us to thoroughly enjoy our meals. We chose a selection of appetizers - 1. Corn hush puppies that were lightly fried and contained corn kernels, super delish! 2. Egg rolls were okay and a touch over fried. 3. Crab Rangoon - light and crispy. Surprise filling made with cream and American cheese! So tasty too! 4. Miso Ginger Salad -fresh and savory. We totally enjoyed our entree choices: 1. Seafood Ramen - delicious, tasty, and has a combination of sweet and salty flavors. Great selection if you're an avid ramen eater. 2. Shrimp Pad Thai - good and tasty with no skimping on the shrimp. If extra hot spicy flavor, get hot sauce on the side. 3. Sweet and sour chicken - lightly fried chicken and rice on the side. Tasty and the sweet and sour sauce was unique, in a good way. We don't have this chain by us in NY and I wanted to try it out. I don't think this location was the way to do that. It's in the old Red Crab building and they didn't change ANYTHING. The interior is the same, the seats still have the logo on the backs of them, they're even reusing the napkin dispensers on the tables with the red crab on them. The whole experience of walking in it just weird - I can't really explain it but the vibe is way way off. It's dirty feeling and used, which isn't how you want to feel when eating seafood, especially raw seafood. All that being said, the food itself was pretty good. We only tried the lettuce wraps and had three sushi rolls (I've forgotten the names of them) and all were decent. I just would choose to go to a better sushi restaurant than eat here. I try not to leave bad reviews and am careful to be objective, but we were really disappointed on our visit. We ordered rangoons and shrimp dumplings for appetizer and the teppenayki dinners (both of us got shrimp and steak). Dumplings were good, rangoons were yellow inside which I have never seen, but no crab present at all. The dinners had way overcooked steak, shrimp was fine, rice not cooked through. Was supposed to be fried rice- no veggies in it. Noodles were good but the zucchini and veggies in dinner were not cooked all the way. We were very sad, especially with the cost being 70. It felt like they just weren't ready to start doing business. We started with their special appetizer of Ocean Nest which was absolutely delightful. A nest of fresh mango and cucumber sticks topped with sashimi tuna, salmon, and krab with a savory ponzu style sauce and topped with fresh cilantro. So fresh and balanced. Our mains were from the lunch menu. Mine was Kung Pao Shrimp that was delicious but missing the peanuts. Same situation with my husband's Kung Pao Tofu ... no peanuts. I ordered the Edamame and Thai Chili Chicken wings. I was not a fan of the wings, they were over cooked or microwaved (not quite sure). Also had a JB roll. It was just okay. Eel skin a little chewy. So before new owners took over this place was amazing always slapped to be fair I only ever get the seafood boils King Crab Lobster Tail Shrimp Eggs potatoes corn extra hot garlic butter lemon and their fried shrimp basket and onion rings everything is always great, usually. The last 2 times I have been there though, the flavors and taste were there it's just my stomach hurt and it sent me straight to the bathroom!!!! And it wasn't just me my son and my husband this has never happened before so they told me they weren't going back, I however still might try them again because like I mentioned before the taste was on point and after I got home and handled my business I was fine. So I'll be back next time to leave an updated review. The place is cute regular seafood looking joint nothing special they are clean, the bathrooms could be cleaner but I have seen worse. I love the staff they are great it is always a good time when I am in attendance. Oh their sushi I would just stay clear from if you're a high level sushi eater but if you aren't then go for it, not my cup of tea which is why I stick to the seafood boils and the fried baskets. I have tried 3 rolls 2 I cannot remember didn't like them the one roll I do remember was the spicy tuna it was mediocre but better than the other 2 rolls. The service we had was still working through the new menu and POS system but our server was fantastic. Unfortunately the food itself was nothing special. The miso soup was hot and tasty but my main course was lacking flavor. The spicy Tuna and Salmon wasn't very spicy and the side of fried rice was not seasoned and needed extra soy sauce. I've been curious about Wild Ginger ever since it opened not too long ago. Today I was in the mood for sushi, so here we go! Looks like a nice, clean establishment. They really need to remove the logos of the previous restaurant from the booth seats, though. I went during lunch, so I decided on the sushi/sashimi lunch special with miso soup. Miso was quite tasty and the quality of the sushi/sashimi was quite nice. The staff all seem to be in good spirits so this was definitely a winner! Next time I may try the Poke Bowl! read more
