    Tom yum soup~
    Edward L.

Solid Thai place in NW Surrey. Don't let the dumpy outside looks fool you. Parking is available in the ghetto lot in front the building (maybe 8 spots total). There is also street parking along 92nd Avenue. The interior is quite orange. Interesting colour since most Thai places are traditionally golden yellow. There are seats for maybe 30 people. Staff are friendly. They are actually from Thailand. I had the L5 red curry chicken lunch special. Food tastes quite authentic here. The tom yum soup is a bit on the salty side, but they actually got the spice level right. My local friends (North American palates) had trouble finishing the soup. The portion is somewhat on the smaller side. 1 rice bowl sized bowl of chicken curry, with the equivalent amount of rice. Served with a spring roll with plum sauce (are these even Thai?) and some sort of salad with dressing (also not exactly Thai). I left a bit hungry. Curry was nice and tasty though. Good flavour and I guess a half decent amount of meat. Wouldn't mind coming back, though I'd probably eat something else before or after.

Really good and authentic Thai food, the service is quick and efficient . The ambiance is classic Thai hole in the wall Esque. I have come here so many times with different groups and everyone has always loved it

Check out the lunch special $10 Clear broth, spring roll, salad, rice and entree. Hubby had Cashew Nut Chicken. Good but the sauce was more like a black bean sauce? I had the Pad Thai. Was good but I've had better.

Brought over by friends and tried for the first time. Facilities are bit old, but food is delicious and service is friendly.

This place has great lunch specials! we come here every so often to get our Thai fix and it doesn't disappoint! Lunch specials range from $12 -16 and come with rice, soup (like hot and sour) and a spring roll and salad. The soup is not great but everything is yummy!

Pineapple Fried Rice and Ginger Beef (January 2022)

I had read how people said this place had the best Thai food in Surrey, so I had to try it out. We ordered the Green Curry, Pad See Lew, Ginger Beef, and Pineapple Fried Rice. The standouts were definitely the Green Curry and the Pineapple Fried Rice. The curry was so flavorful and had such depth. Eating it with the fried rice just made it that much more delicious (note that their curries don't come with rice). The Pad See Lew and Ginger Beef were good, but were a bit on the salty side. However, this place definitely doesn't skimp on flavor as none of the food was bland and tasted authentic. I can see why foodies rave about this place!

The decor of this place is amazing. The whole experience here is exceptional.

Who would have thought that the best Thai food I will eat outside of Thailand would be in Surrey? This place is a delight - the food and the service are spectacular. This place has to be a family ran restaurant because it is always the same lady taking our order, who is polite and genuine. Most Thai places in the area are not owned/run by Thai people, but this one certainly is. The decor reminded me of when I visited Thailand. Now, the most important part: the food. The pad thai is divine - it has the perfect ratio of sauce to noodles and comes with plenty of chicken. The cashew chicken and green curry I also delicious. Whenever I go, I always ask for my dishes spicy, and they always have the perfect amount of heat. This is my go-to place for Thai food, and I do not see that changing anytime soon, or ever.

It's especially good if you have a group of people dining with you. That way you can share different dishes and enjoy lots of different flavors. The Mixed Plate is especially good for that. I have seen from their menu online that they also offer something called Padisha's Table which requires a minimum of 4 adults ordering it, and costs $36 per person. For this visit we had the following: Beyti Sarma Small Mixed Plate Cheese Lovers Pide Lamb Durum Wrap Veggie Guvech Turkish Coffee Turkish Tea The Small Mixed Plate came with a humungous slab of lavash bread! It was crazy how big this piece of bread was. We were a group of 5 people and this Small Mixed Plate by itself could have been our lunch. It was such a huge piece of bread. Sooo good though. They baked it in the oven until it got all nice and puffy, and it came to our table piping hot. I always enjoy this Mixed Plate starter. It comes with such a nice variety of dips. My absolute favorite dip though is the Baba Ghannush. I think next time I eat at this restaurant, I will add on a separate order of the Baba Ghannush so I enjoy more of it than what comes in the Mixed Plate starter! I loved my Veggie Guvech. The veggies were roasted and baked to perfection. I'm someone who likes my food soft, so I was happy to find that the veggies in this dish were nice and soft. The menu description says that this dish comes with Lavash. I didn't see any more Lavash bread come other than the huge slab that came with our Small Mixed Plate. Perhaps they did this on purpose though. The one huge piece of bread is equivalent to several smaller pieces that you might get in other restaurants. I certainly didn't need anything more than the huge piece of bread we'd already been served, so was very glad not to see anything else come with my Veggie Guvech. If you're a cheese love, you can't go wrong with the Cheese Lovers Pide. It's our daughter's "go to" dish when we order from this restaurant. She really loves her cheese! The people who ordered Lamb Durum Wrap said the lamb inside their wraps was very moist and tender. I do recall also hearing good things about lamb dishes from this restaurant in the past, when we ordered takeout from them. The Turkish Coffee and Tea come in some beautifully designed cups. I have travelled to Turkey in the past and enjoyed a hot apple tea in a Turkish Tea cup. The cup that was used here was very much like the cup I drank from in Turkey. I never had coffee when I was in Turkey, but judging from how unique the design of the cup here was, it's probably a very traditional design for a Turkish coffee cup since the Turkish Tea cup was just like the ones I saw in Turkey. Highly recommend this place! There aren't a lot of Turkish restaurants within Metro Vancouver. This place is an absolute gem!

Absolutely dynamite!!! Crispy, cheesy, and addictive. My dish: Alinazik Kebab - Grilled lamb over sauced grilled eggplant and yogurt, served with salad and bread. The lamb was insanely flavourful and delicious. I wasn't a fan of the mashed eggplant though (which surprised me because I usually love eggplant). It was okay, just not my thing this time. My husband's dish: Ground Beef Pide - Savoury flatbread topped with seasoned ground beef, fresh herbs, and sesame seeds. This was excellent -- super tasty and satisfying. My son's drink: Ayran - A traditional salty yogurt drink with mint. Not a hit with him Too salty and sour for his taste, but we appreciated the experience of trying something new. The servers kindly brought him a Coke instead and didn't charge us, which was really nice. My son's dinner: Adana Kebab (spicy) - Skewered spicy ground beef with rice, bulgur, salad, and bread. Fantastic!!! The beef was fresh and flavourful, and the rice and bulgur were soooo good. Service & atmosphere: It was pretty packed for Valentine's Day, so service was a bit hit and miss and slower than usual -- but totally understandable. The atmosphere made up for it, especially with the live Turkish music. It genuinely felt like being on vacation for the night, and I loved that feeling. Overall: Definitely worth the wait. It's in an industrial park, and the place has a tiny pastry area in the bottom and an upper dining room. You order in the cafe area, and the food is sent up via number system and dumb waiter (SO cool). Service was one person and two cooks, so it's not immediate, but it's all made fresh and you can taste it. My Russian friend advised me on what to get, so we went with Khinkali and Khachapuri (sans meat). We also got what is on the menu as "jingle bread" and a beef kabob wrap. I had to get some kvass and pickles, too. I would get the dumplings, wrap, and kvass again in a second. Not that everything wasn't delicious, but my stomach is only so big and I need to try everything else on the menu. Khinkali is effectively a gigantic soup dumpling (HIGHLY recommend, but don't eat the stem!), and the meat in the beef kabob was similarly spiced. I fell in love with the lavash bread - it wasn't like anything I'd ever had. It was light, flaky, and I didn't feel overloaded with bread eating it like I do with most wraps. Kvass is slightly alcoholic, and it's technically a cereal based fermented drink, so it tastes a carby. It's a bit far for me to go with any regularity, but if I'm up around the airport, I will definitely keep it on my list of places to recommend and re-visit.
