Pad Thai: 4 stars. Great flavors, just right amount of sauce. Plenty of protein with chicken and shrimp and eggs. Pad kee mao: 5 stars. One of the best pad kee mao I've had. Yummy and savory. With good texture with the onions and veggies. Yellow curry: savory and yummy. Among the best yellow curry I've had. I like that they had options of fried or plain tofu. I had to go for fried tofu of course. Wish the rice that came with it was a bit more. We ended up ordering another portion of rice. Plum wine: very sweet and tasty. I thought that this was honestly the worst Thai food I've ever had and I've eaten at many Thai restaurants. The food was just not good. We had the veggie fresh rolls which were just really boring. I had the pad se ew and it just had no flavor. Very bland and again boring. My son had a pineapple chicken dish and he said it was just ok. The service was good but the ambience good use some work as well. Next time I'll try a different Thai restaurant and wouldn't go back unfortunately. read more

This was our first time at Thai Cafe. I had Panang Curry (heat level three) with brown rice. He had orange chicken (heat level three) with white rice. He said mine was hotter than his and that he'll ask for five next time. Everything was scrumptious! The owner takes the orders and the waitstaff are younger people. Everyone was attentive and polite. I enjoyed at least a dozen really great meals here. However, tonite was different. I ordered my usual Sweet and Sour Dinner with Beef. It wasn't up to par at all. The sauce was runny, making the breaded meat soggy. There were sliced tomatoes and cuumbers in it! Never saw that before. I always enjoy the food from this place. The mango sticky rice is really great. I always get take out and the service is great but I can't speak for what it's like inside. Really and truly the best Thai food in Prescott Valley hands down. Sorry to the competition but this great small family owned restaurant puts out very authentic Thai food. Not too sweet and the spices are balanced and the portions are generous. The desert sticky rice is to die for with mango just ask to go light on the sauce. I recommend the Larb Salad it's very authentic and a Thai staple. I will be trying the whole fried fish one of these days and we will see if it's done crispy enough to eat the tail and fins. I was not a big fan of Thai food before I ate here. I have tried several Thai restaurants and was not excited about trying another one because I had not found any Thai food that seemed good enough to spend a lot of money on. But my grandson wanted to go here for his birthday, and since he loves their food, I wanted to give it a try. I ordered the Pad Thai because I do know how a good Pad Thai tastes, and this one lived up to my expectations. My grandson ordered his favorite, pineapple rice, and he said it was amazing, as usual. We had a party of ten and had a great dinner experience t the Thai Cafe. The server knew the menu well and could describe their dishes and make recommendations. We were greeted immediately and seated quickly. They brought our drink orders right away and took our appetizer order. They took our entree order and we were served pretty quickly for a large group. Everyone liked their meals and there was such large portions that we all had to get boxes to take home our leftovers. We had a great experience. read more

Met an old buddy here for dinner. The restaurant closes at 8:30pm so watch the time. I ordered the Pra Rham. First time here, I opted for the spiciness at level 5 (0 to 5 with 5 being the hottest). Now I can handle hot & spicy food pretty good. I've had way spicier food than this, before, but their level 5 is definitely hot. No sweating, but I definitely had a little bit of a nose run. Plenty of food on my plate...I doggie bagged half of my order. Service was pretty good and they do serve beer. Located on a corner, there was plenty of parking available. I also noticed that there were a lot of customers coming in to pick up call-in orders. Moderate prices, but you get 10% off if you pay cash. Our attorney, Mike Menlove, is across the street and he was preparing paperwork for our signature. We were STARVING and asked if there was a good place to eat within walking distance. Ok...I just had a sugar rush. Yes, my Chow mein chicken was so sweet I couldn't even finish it. I've never experienced Thai food so sweet. The pro's.... This place is nicely decorated and very clean. Service was very nice and fast. It didn't take very long to get our order. Beautiful presentation of food.... however, the sugar rush just ruined it for me. The cons...... My hubby's dish was ok and it had a good level of spice, but my Chow mein was way too sweet with no spice at all. Very bland. The limited veggies in the dish were over cooked and over soaked in sugar sauce. I felt like I had to run home and brush my teeth before I got a cavity or something. The eggs rolls were just filled with shredded cabbage and that's it. Nothing more....Nothing less. No taste at all except for cabbage....or was it shredded lettuce? I was bummed since this place had so many good reviews. Maybe the retired crowd likes thier sugar with no spice.....but not me. Moving on. read more
