I've always enjoyed this restaurant! My go to Thai order is the Pad Thai and it's never disappointed. Great portions as well.

Nope. Their phone isn't broken..... Yup. They are closed AGAIN!!!! who closes their restaurant on December 26th? Thai Chili does. Lately they are in the business of being closed just because. The other day Calimesa had their Mickey Mouse, Last Minute Organized, Christmas light parade and that was a good enough reason for them to close. Their food is good, the prices are steep but they are definitely not loyal to their customers. Take your business down the street to Chanida Thai Cuisine at 34664 County Line Road, Calimesa CA. Had a fantastic lunch at Thai Chili this afternoon. The chicken satay was so flavorful yet not greasy or heavy. Peanut sauce and cucumber/onion served along with it just added to the yum. We had a wonderful soup of the day along with a delicious dressing on our salads before our meal. I had the Panang curry and hubster had the Kapow with chicken. So delicious. We accompanied these dishes with an ice tea and Sapporo each. Service was welcoming and gracious, as always. This place is a gem. read more

VERY RUDE! I speak highly of Thai people and their respectful manners because I was born there and have been there many times but this place is definitely a two thumbs down. We have been here before and the food is not superb authentic compared to places in LA but we decided to stop by before heading out for the day. We arrived at 11:55am and the door was open but the lady told us they open at 12pm so we went back in the car to wait. 2 more cars pulled up and they were seated right away. I waited until exactly 12:01pm then went in and asked if I can order to go. The server told me to get out and walk through the other door for to go. She pointed for me to get out and come back through the other door. I told her it was locked? She unlocked it and told me to go through the other door and wouldn't make eye contact with me. I went outside and came back through THE OTHER DOOR and stood at the counter for 5 mins and she never came over so I decided to not waste my time. This is by far the worst Thai service I've received in my life. read more

8:45pm, March 14..........Hungry and needing a little sustenance, we drove to a newly established Chinese restaurant and quickly slipped through the front doors as the OPEN sign dimmed to black. "We close in 15 minutes", Says he. "Take-out only". REALLY! Our previous 5 star experience two weeks previous was quickly diluted to .5 stars in moments. Disgusted and quite put out, we drove down the street no more than a block and we saw an OPEN sign.........YES........THAI CHILI. Maybe they will stay open as long as their sign says they are open. 9PM. Not only did they serve us, but, did not rush us either. The tea was hot and fresh, the soup was hot and fresh, the cashew chicken was hot and fresh, the salad was cold and fresh, and the service was refreshing. Not only did our server warm up some coconut sticky rice to go, but added, that lunch is a very good value and that we should come back. Thank you for the good food and we will certainly be back. This is a wonderful restaurant. They are always so friendly. The customer service here is excellent. Then there is the food which is always fresh and tasty. The Orange Chicken is way better then PF Changs and is a good choice for the kids. My favorites are Pad Kee Mow - which is spicy noodles Yellow Curry over brown rice Pad Thai is always a good choice They have the best Tom Kha soup I have ever tried - try it spicy Try the California Rolls. Yummy!!!!! Not like any CA roll you have had before Appetizer Shrimp Noodle Wrap Vegetable Tempura If you have not tried this awesome eatery you must do it soon. I have been looking for a new good Thai place. I am generally disappointed with the one's near me: too expensive for what you get (Mu), customer service lacking (Thai House and Benjarong), they tried to kill me with peanut cross contamination (Thai place in GT), or they closed (Ranu). Sure, there are great places in LA and Long Beach (Phucket) but that's a long drive. So a friend lead me to Thai Chili. 20 minutes away but so worth the drive. One of the servers here I know from Ranu and Mu so it was a cool reunion. The food is great and actually tastes like it should. I had red curry medium and only complaint was my mouth was on fire. So beware anyone who is shy on heat-filled dishes. The thinly sliced green veggies are not bell peppers, they're jalapeños. Food is good, decor is nice, and they actually serve beer. My new go to for Thai. read more

So I called to order for pick up and they still had me waiting for 22 minutes when I got there. Secondly, my thai iced tea dropped and spilled all over my clothes right in front of the restaurant. They refused to give me another or a discount to buy a 2nd one :-( read more

Me and my family are Thai food junkies, coming from the Bay Area I thought I'd never find a place that reminds me of the great Thai restaurants out there. Well... today we found one, every dish was packed with flavor. Best curry hands down I've tasted in Southern Cal.. We've to Thai places all over, even some in OC. This was recommended by a friend, but then found out later that it was the wrong restaurant! Oh well, it was still good. It's a pretty big restaurant, the service was very nice, they were busy but still had time to check in on us. The food was fresh and delicious, the portions at this place are huge. I ordered pad thai and it was enough to feed 3 people, crazy right? Everything we got was delicious: Pad Thai Cashew Shrimp Beef Panang Tom Yum Shrimp Appetizer Combo We still have to try the other restaurant down the street, but this was a great find. The food is excellent! I always switch between the yellow curry, pad Thai or the Tom Kha Soup. All very tasty! I also really like their Thai tea. However, their service is less than stellar. The ladies in here are always rushing you and sometime feel like your an inconvenience to them. I asked the hostess/waitress for a specific table and she seemed bothered that I asked but gave it to me anyways. So good to know that I am not Lacking good Thai food here in the high desert of Southern California. You rarely see anything as bleak driving down the 10 at 80 miles an hour, then the regions between Redlands in Palm Springs. Strip mall, interspersed with rusted trailer park & new Del Taco types by the yard. There is little if nothing says get off the freeway on the 10, between Palm Springs and restaurants. Very good food, some staff not super nice, other staff extremely nice. Prices have gone up along with everyone else, but portions have gotten smaller and breaded items are mostly breading, i.e the orange chicken is about as good as I've ever had, but tiny bits of chicken in tons of breading. Came in with family for lunch on a Friday afternoon. We were seated quickly and our server was eager to take our order. The lunch special caught our eye and came with a main dish serve with white rice, a chicken base soup and salad. I had the Panang Curry with chicken and it was very delicious. The kids had the orange chicken which came with a heap of chicken and a garnish of salad. My daughter ordered the chicken pad Thai which also looked appetizing. We also order a couple of plates of vegetarian egg rolls and I had a Thai Ice Tea. The service was friendly and attentive, however the server kept reaching in front of me to serve food across the table. The price was very reasonable for the quality and amount of food that was served. I will not hesitate coming back here again in the near future. read more

I love Thai Chili !!! My favorite is the Pad See Ew with chicken. I'm sure it would be good with any meat you choose. I also love the summer rolls the peanut sauce and the green sauce that comes with it are so delicious. My next favorite is the garlic shrimp. I got the Thai fried rice with chicken($7.95) and it was just average at best. Ask for their chili sauce because the fried rice by itself is plain. Chicken was tender, but bland and was off put by the sweet fried rice. The service is average as well. One complaint I have about this restaurant is it is a little dark and it does not seem necessary for it to be that way. Overall, if you need to satisfy your Thai fried rice cravings, Thai Chili will do just that. read more

First time trying this nice, comfortable and clean restaurant. The staff was very attentive and the food was excellent! The pots stickers and fried wonton were tasty and just the right amount (not spoiling the meal by filling up on appetizers). The Kau Pad Kra Pow (#51) with chicken was delicious! Wow Good Thai Food In Calimesa!!!! We came here with our parents for dinner not expecting such good food, but boy it was very tasty. For appetizers we ordered Tom Yum soup spicy. It was spicy and very flavorful. We also ordered Crab Lagoon which is Crab and Cream cheese fried wonton with a honey apricot sauce for dipping. For Entrees we ordered Pad Thai Shrimp (spicy) and Chicken Curry medium and BBQ beef. We all shared. The Pad Thai was a bit spicy, so if you like spicy they know what spicy is about. For only having two servers they took care of the dining room quickly and with care. Very reasonably priced. Love this place. Finally, a really good place to eat in Calimesa! I always order their pad kee mao with tofu and it's always good. Their spring rolls are tasty as well as the green papaya salad! Only drawback is the portion siZe is not compatible to the moderately expensive price. But they do throw out some great food! I'd love to go back and try their noodles. I had the Rama dish (tofu & peanut sauce), which was decent. I've had better. But given that I've been to over a hundred Thai restaurants, I'm also a lot more discriminating. In contrast, friends were pleased with their curry dish and teriyaki chicken, but have likely only eaten Thai food a handful of times between them. There's no question about the service, however; it was excellent. I thought it was cute how gracious the server was, surprised he had gotten so many first time diners at his restaurant that day. No doubt, it is adequate and will satisfy those cravings for Thai. The prices are also reasonable, and they do offer lunch specials. read more

This restaurant seems out of place in Calimesa. The cuisine and decor is more upscale than you will initially expect. I have always loved their beef red curry, and when you ask for it to be spicy, that is exactly what you will get. Even while you are sweating, at no point does the heat kill the flavor, it is possibly the best red curry that I have had anywhere. They would get 5 stars, but every time I visit I know that I will spend 15 minutes after finishing my meal waiting for the bill to come. read more

I love their satay dipping sauce, yellow curry, and pad kee mao. Boyfriend loves the orange chicken. I've even converted him over to the pad kee mao and yellow curry, which he would never touch in another restaurant. Very good stuff. I've eaten there numerous times in the last several years and never been disappointed. This is a small, nicely decorated restaurant. They do get very busy, so service isn't always super fast.
