Been here a couple of times, but today our server was not that helpful. She acted confused on the menu and did not let us know if there will be any extra charge for substitution. She also did not understand and we let her know multiple times that one of our party member is vegetarian so we would not like any meat on her dish. They also lack substitution for their pork options. Honestly, just an upsetting service today. There were also no host welcoming and as we stood there to let them know they did not acknowledge us or let us know that they would be with us in a moment. I work in the service industry and communication is truly important. Our entire order would've been wrong if this was our first time here. She didn't clarify anything, but food is good. Corky's is always a great choice when it comes to diner food. The service at this location is great and it always has that cozy vibe. I love the Barnyard breakfast. But they don't have them alphabetized... Seems like you either put them in order by order number, date of pick up and time OR by last name.... Mine was supposed to be well-done (crime, I know), no cheese. They executed it beautifully. We visited with our two young children for a simple breakfast and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. When our server came to take our order, I asked if my child could have pancakes from the breakfast kids menu with fries from the dinner kids menu. I completely understand if a restaurant has policies, but instead of trying to help or offering any alternatives, she firmly told me no twice without any explanation or flexibility. After my husband placed his order, I asked for a few minutes to decide what else we could order for the kids. Quite a bit of time passed and no one came back. I eventually got up to find our server because I thought we had been forgotten. Another employee brought my husband's food and was surprised to learn we had not finished ordering. At that point, my husband was eating while our children sat there hungry waiting for us to place the rest of the order. When our original server returned, I mentioned that it had taken a while. Her response was, "Well, you're not my only table." I had been polite throughout the interaction, so I asked if we could have a different server because it seemed like she was having a bad day. Unfortunately, the second server was even less welcoming. I explained the situation and asked if there was any flexibility with one of the combos since our family is vegetarian. I wasn't asking for a discount, only to substitute the meat for another side while paying the full combo price. She immediately said no, then loudly asked another employee about the restaurant's policy in front of us, making the interaction feel uncomfortable and confrontational. We ended up ordering the meal without the meat and simply accepted that part of the meal would go to waste. The service completely overshadowed the food itself. We never felt like anyone was interested in helping us find a solution or making the experience pleasant, especially with two young children at the table. The bill was dropped off shortly after our food arrived with a "no rush," but after everything that had happened, it certainly felt like we were being hurried along. I understand that restaurants have policies, and I respect that. What made this experience disappointing was not the rules themselves but the lack of empathy, hospitality, and willingness to communicate in a friendly manner. We love Corky's and we usually go to the one in Perris but we were out and about in Yucaipa and stopped at this location. We got breakfast at 3 pm and it was delicious! The eggs were very buttery and cooked perfect! Everything was good but our server Cindy is what made it exceptional, we recently retired and our thing is day trips and restaurants, customer service has always been important to me and Cindy is one of the best, by the time we left I felt like I had made a friend, she was so sweet and so personable, our service was above and beyond. This Corky's location is one of our favorite breakfast spots in Yucaipa! The staff is always so sweet and works together like a well oiled machine. From the outset of our arrival for breakfast we were immediately, and warmly, welcomed and escorted to a booth. In very short order, our waitress (Rebecca) was greeting us and taking our drink order. We were afforded ample time to make our meal selections, which were delivered to the table promptly, to our surprise, considering what was clearly a very busy morning. Our food was excellent, seriously the best Denver Omelet I've ever had! I looked around and noted that despite a very busy, 'active' crowd of customers, the staff were consistently friendly, courteous and appeared to be genuinely enjoying interacting with customers and one another (note: This, is a genuine credit to the Manager, as this tone is a reflection of expectations clearly stated and consistent role-modeling, coupled with proper recognition, rewarding such positive, professional conduct). A 1-star deduction for the so-so potato salad and the ridiculous 99-cent up charge for extra mayo for my sandwich and potato salad. This is the ONLY restaurant I have been to in the last 55 years that charges for extra mayo, as there is NO upcharge for extra ketchup or mustard. What is wrong with management at this location to rip off its customers for a few tablespoons of a common condiment? How many stars should a Yelp review have? What is the standard? I used to love going to Corky's on my weekdays off because I could enjoy the patio and nice weather. I have not been there since Christmas time, and decided it would be a nice treat. Even took my new puppy. Service getting me a menu, napkin, and utensils was fast and polite. I ordered the WAY overpriced orange juice because they make it themselves...maybe. I was deciding whether or not to get breakfast because they have a bad habit of sending out stale hash browns with their breakfast plates. But it was early and there was not much of a crowd so I ordered breakfast and like clock work my stale hashbrowns came. The eggs and toast were great but they can't seem to navigate making their hash browns HOT. So I am giving them a two since two things were good today and the rest sucked. My eyes were definitely bigger than my stomach! So much food I needed a nap afterward. Six in our party, popped in and they seated us right away. The restaurant is much larger than it appears from the outside. We had so much food, skillets, pancake, biscuits and gravy, steak and eggs, pork chops and eggs and drinks. The table was loaded down with food. Everything was delicious, I was shocked at how perfectly prepared and picture perfect everything appeared and the taste was on the nose. Eggs were everything from over easy, over medium, and scrambled, steak was a perfect medium rare. The kitchen staff know how to make and present a meal for sure. The wait staff were checking in all the time, everyone was kind and seemed happy to chat and make sure we had everything we needed. This spot is super easy to get to and close to the freeway. Plenty of parking but do know this spot is popular so you may have a short wait...I vote you wait because it's worth every single minute! We will be back and I hope to see you there. read more

One of my favorite anytime places! Breakfast, lunch, dinner, late night coffee. I've been coming here for years with my best friend and every time it's great. The food is good, the ambiance wholesome, and service fantastic. Everyone here is a delight, from host to manager, server to cook. The meals are always a grand time. My only complaint is that the liver and onions were taken off the menu a while back and I haven't been able to find another place brave enough to serve it! read more

We planned on going somewhere else only to find out it was another direction so we ended up here. What a find. It was busy, had to wait 15 minutes but not a big deal. We got to sit at the counter and watch the magic happen. It's super busy but man, this crew handles it with a smile. Super relaxed and they truly have it dialed in. They all help one another and speak so kindly even to the cooks were smiling back in the kitchen. Our waitress always addressed them as "friend, can I have..." I loved that Food came out quick. Corky's Omelette is what the hubs had and he said it was delish. It was HUGE! I had an eggs Benedict with avocado and since I do not eat pork, they added turkey sausage and it was sooo good! I didn't eat the English muffin thinking I was going to just do protein and a good fat until I saw the steak fries - had to order a side! Again HUGE!!!! I was only able to eat four but we took them home - I will air fry those bad boys tonight. Such a pleasurable experience.
