Very good food. Service was decent but I found a hair in my food this time so I took a one star off. After I mentioned it, they brought me a new dish right away without assuming I was lying. My boyfriend and I stopped by here on Christmas and we were lucky enough to snag a table. We were greatly warmly and it was busy! We ordered spring rolls and tea to start. We decided on the Massaman curry with pork and the wild jungle. Both curry dishes were amazing and had a different flavor profile. We would happily come back again and try the other dishes. We popped in for a late lunch the day of the tree lighting and overall it was okay. Everyone else seemed to enjoy theor food but mine was just meh. The forst order of satay tofu had hair burnt on it then my main dish was totally wrong - i very specifically looked at the vegetarian options for items WITHOUT mushrooms and out came a dish with mushrooms (Im very allergic to them). My husband ended up taking it home for his dinner, which ended up being a mistake because he had stomach issues all night. The place is cute and quiet but don't dare try to take a stroller with you. They were polite about it but visually annoyed by us. I will say, the bathroom is very clean! Will we come back, maybe. We started with PotStickers and then got Orange Chicken, Phad See Ew, and Thai Basil fried rice. We didn't like the Potstickers, the wrapper was too thick. Absolutely love this place, been going here for five years since I moved to Washington. The pad Thai is amazing along with the curry and golden noodles. The staff is always very welcoming, the main server is very kind and now knows my order when I go in awesome! Thai Cottage in Edmonds was a Thai restaurant my family and I ate at with medium frequency when I was growing up. We have not come so much as I have grown into adulthood. In part this is because of physical proximity to another Thai restaurant in Shoreline. Personally, I enjoyed the food and ambiance here more than some of the other Thai restaurants in the area. However, I tended to be outnumbered when it came time for a family vote, so we did not eat here as much as I would have chosen. The food was flavorful for all of the dishes I tried and I had a number of dishes I on the menu I enjoyed and re-ordered, which was different for me. The workers were professional and did well on communicating if something was off. They not once lost their cool or came across as flustered. Popped in for a quick tasting of the Tom Yum soup early afternoon. Asked for spicy and it was far from spicy- more of a coconut broth lacking the spice. Asked for rice noodles to add to my soup which was provided at an additional cost. Service wasn't very good considering there was only one server. However, the table beside me was complaining and they were waiting awhile. Ambiance was great, very chill and zen for anyone wanting the Thai experience. Hi there , this place is next to Daphne's bar in Downtown Edmonds. The pricing is about average. Causal atmosphere. The waiter had a personality of pickle . He made no personal effort. If he did it could have made it a better experience. The food came out pretty fast. The food deserves a five star rating . What I like about this place is you can decide on how spicy you want the food. They ask you one star, two star, up to five. I got mine with a two star. And I didn't think it was too spicy. read more

I've been here for dinner on a Sunday night twice now, and plan to go back. My friend and I go to see new plays at Edmonds Driftwood Playhouse just a mile away and this place is a favorite! We each order one item and split them, and everything is wonderful. I had Crystal Noodles and my friend ordered the Royal Ginger. It was more than we could eat, the service was prompt and friendly, the prices were reasonable. Simple but effective decor makes it a great place to eat. read more

You can never go wrong with Thai food, at least the Pad Thai. Some other comments below, however. Downtown Edmonds has had this great location for a while now and there's a reason it's still up and running, thriving actually. Slightly above average in some aspects, this Thai place has fair prices* and service that has never disappointed. I've heard things about it (i.e. making a hassle for drinks, ID, etc) but haven't encountered anything out of the norm. Service can be a bit slower when you're sitting in the back corner, but they still try to check on you. *most items, not all (Tom Yum Soup) Ordered the Chicken Pad Thai inside but forgot to snap a picture. It's difficult to go wrong with this staple of a dish and it's also hard to go above and beyond sometimes because it's so standardized. Comes with your typical carrots, red onions, and beansprouts but lacks a lime to add the slight tangy taste. I do appreciate how the Pad Thai is not overly sauced, however. Got the Tom Yum Soup and a Beef Pad See Ew to go. Most other places have the Tom Yum Noodle Soup which actually has noodles for the same price so was disappointed. $15 for some soup with mushrooms and a few prawns was a bad way to start the day. I expected there to be something similar but I guess the menu doesn't actually mention noodles. Then it's additional $3 for rice on the side to pair with the soup that they recommend but it doesn't quite hit the same as "Tom Yum Noodle Soup." Beef Pad See Ew was typical. Pad Thai and Pad See Ew are very standard after all, so no complaints there. I will say that the quantity of the takeout felt way smaller in portion than dine in which was also disappointing. Not sure if it was because of the different items (Pad Thai vs Pad See Ew) but I doubt it. As a result, the value can be a bit ambiguous and shaky. read more

This restaurant has cute decor and an intimate vibe. Definitely good date spot. I wish I can talk highly about the food.. it was meh. Our Thai Iced Tea is a basic drink as well and that lacked flavor.. not enough actual tea added to it and LOTS of ice. Pork pad thai was so small in portion.. I couldn't believe they charge $18.95 for that dish. I thought ok maybe it tastes amazing.. but nope. Noodles were on the mushier side and overcooked. We asked for 2 star spice but didn't taste like any was added. We also ordered the avocado green curry. This dish was pretty damn good. Who knew to add chunks of creamy avocado to curry to elevate it? It was delicious. Service was great, super friendly people. I shouldn't have high expectations for a thai place in a somewhat tourist spot by the ferry. read more

This my third time coming this year since I always fly in from Hawaii. The Pha Thai is my favorite along with their spring rolls. Their spicy ranges from 1-4, 4 being the hottest. So far I didn't need to make reservations because they always came before or after lunch or dinner. The service is excellent...very fast and the waiter/waitress always has a smile and very friendly. The ambiance is also very relaxing and calm with some Asian music.I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone if you're in the Edmonds area. read more

Stopped by for a quick lunch and asked for mild spice and crossed our fingers. Every dish was delicious, flavorful and fresh. Pineapple fried rice had fresh, crispy veggies and just a nice hint of oil. The Bathing Rama with Chicken and the Tom Kah Soup with Prawns were lovely and even better the next day, reheated for a light dinner. My favorite was the Pad See Ew with Tofu. Fresh, tasty, lightly fried cubes with a nice, crispy combination of veggies. Definitely going back to try more dishes. read more

The place runs like a Swiss Watch. We were in a bit of a time crunch, and having a quick dinner worked out perfectly. Water came to the table right after we sat. The server took our order the instant we were ready. The drinks arrived quickly. Appetizer and all came with very short wait times between them. The food was hot and tasty. I do have a pet peeve, calling a deep fried pork dumpling a "Potsticker" is wrong. Potsticker is called that because it is supposed to be pan fried and steamed. The pad tai had a slightly different, and very good, flavor than I expected. The Mango curry was excellent. I look forward to going back when we have more time to enjoy our meal. read more

You will be hit with Edmonds prices but hey, rent ain't cheap there! The food is worth every penny. You won't be disappointed! We usually grab a drink next door at Daphne's and it's very convenient to order takeout from Thai Cottage right next door and enjoy your meal outside! You almost forget you are in WA - it could very well be Europe! Note that when you say 2 stars for level of spice (heat) it will be very spicy! They don't mess around with their spices! Thai Cottage located next to the Edmonds theatre and in the heart of Edmonds just a few strides from the central fountain. Thai Cottage has general seating with a handful of window side tables. The decor and ambiance is comfy and welcoming. They have many neat decorations a small wood statue, and hand carved framed wood art hanging on the walls. The service is always fast and efficient and they do a great job making you feel welcomed and well taken care of. This is not only a great place to dine in, but also offers fast and consistent take out! Some of my favorite dishes are the Crab Delight, Chicken Phad Thai, and the Beef Panang Curry. All of which are full of flavor and very delicious! They also offer lunch specials which are both great in value and portion size! I randomly found myself in quaint downtown Edmonds during the lunch hour, and my tummy was rumbling. Thai food sounded good, and I noticed they had some tempting sounding lunch specials, so I wandered in. I was seated promptly in a very bright, clean, and well decorated restaurant. My server, who was also the host, was very friendly and fast. I ordered the red curry chicken lunch special, which is only 9.95 and features a heaping bowl of chicken and bell peppers swimming in a delectable red curry sauce, with a side of rice and a healthy dose of pad thai noodles. There was so much food that I couldn't finish it all. Oh and I forgot to mention the complimentary soup that came before my meal. It was all fantastic, spices were on point, and my three stars was the perfect level of spiciness. The entire experience was very fast, I was in and out in less than 40 minutes. Our second time here. This is a very good Thai restaurant. Excellent food quality and flavors with a great location! The Tom Yam soup is excellent and full of vegetables. The Thai Basil has fantastic flavors and presentation. A good value as well in these times of rapidly increasing prices. They have 4 heat levels. 5 stars for the delicious pad see ew combo. It was Smokey, tasty and spicy enough. It has a nice punch after a few bites. My son and I really enjoyed this dish. The calamari apps? Not so much. It lacks the crunch and it didn't taste good. It was kinda fishy and not in a good way. We didn't like this one. The green curry was on the sweeter side, the chicken was over cooked too. This place is just down the street from us. We love Thai food and this restaurant is pretty darn tasty. We like our food with 2 stars. We ordered the crispy garlic chicken for the first time. We also ordered our favorites, Pad Thai with tofu and Panang Curry with seafood. Our favorites were just as we like. They are very consistent with the flavors and taste. That's why we order the same things over & over. However the crispy garlic chicken was just okay. We rarely eat meat or fowl anymore. I suppose for those who eat chicken, it's very good. At least according to the reviews it's supposedly good. We thought they were okay but not something we would add to our favorites list. You be the judge.
