Issaya was open Christmas Day! Huzzah! Had a friend over and we sampled the following: Issaya Sampler. Spring rolls, crab rangoon, fried tofu, fried dumplings. Delicious. Rama Noodles. Wide Noodles with spinach and chicken, and a peanut sauce included in a separate container. Separately and together it was a tasty dish, the peanut sauce kicked it up a bit. Delivery review These guys hooked us up for a WFH lunch today, and, man, now I just want to check out the place even more. The food sat in a car for 20 minutes and still tasted incredible. Plus, the dining room photos look amazing...and I lived in the neighborhood there for 2 years. I loved it, and don't need a reason to go back and enjoy an afternoon there. This just adds to the appeal. We got some pretty boring mainstream choices and they knocked them out of the park. Chicken Satay Still moist and tender even after the ride. Brightly colored from turmeric and maybe a bit of saffron. Nice vegetable and peanut-sauce accompaniments. Phad Thai Yeah, this one's on me. The most ubiquitous of all Thai dishes...but it just sounded good, and they nailed it. The apps don't include an option to select a spiciness rating for this dish, unlike other things on their menu. I asked for 5 stars in the special requests, and they hooked it up. Nice little kick on the aftertaste. No ketchupy flavor in this one, chewy noodles, crunchy veg, green onion cut into matchsticks. All the comforting flavors and textures from the million other times you've eaten PT. Red curry Big flavors, nice juicy prawns, everything delicious. Didn't get this one spicy. Yummy Crispy Pork This one was cooked perfectly, but compared to the other dishes, had much milder seasonings. Worth getting again if there's hot sauce or other garnish handy, but just kind of sleepy and subdued, flavor-wise. I have had Issaya Thai Cuisine twice now since I moved back home in 2019. Today, Tuesday the 13th of October 2020, we ordered dinner from here for a dinner with my mom, my dad, my aunt, my uncle, and me. One of my favorite Thai dishes is Basil Chicken, so I ordered that as my entree. My mom ordered the Salmon Ginger, my dad the Tom Yum Noodle Soup and the Crispy Chicken (Garlic), my aunt the Chicken Pad Thai, and my uncle the Chicken Pad Thai. My mom, dad, and I shared the things we ordered and my aunt and uncle each ate the entree they ordered. We all enjoyed the food. Service was quick and friendly. We called in the order and were told it would be about 20 minutes before it was ready to pick up (we ordered takeout/to-go). When my dad and uncle when to pick up the food it was ready to go and we received everything we ordered. Basil Chicken is a seemingly easy dish, though I have found places that go overboard on the oil or have poor quality meat. That was not the case here, it was well seasoned and well cooked. If I changed only one thing, I might have gotten more heat/spice. Everything else I tried (everything except the Chicken Pad Thai this time which I have tried before though) tasted delicious as well. We saw this restaurant is under new management, so we tried it out. The owners were very courteous, and the restaurant has a nice vibe and plenty of parking. The food was all delicious! Some of the best Thai food I have had outside of Thailand, and the menu has some nice cross overs including American and Chinese dishes for variety. We had the Pineapple Curry, Wonton soup, and Crab Rangoon, plus a Phad Thai and delicious cucumber salad. It was all excellent, and the pace was appropriate so we did not feel rushed. They also serve generous pours of good house wines. We will be back for sure. read more

This is a nice local restaurant, we used to go here for what must be 15 years or so when it was Full Moon Thai Cuisine and were familiar with the folks that worked there. It's under new management and seems to have a lot of options on their online menu. I ordered online for my parents the day after Christmas and my dad and I went to pick it up. It was a Sunday and they were clearly overwhelmed by an unexpected holiday crowd. We chatted with the other customers waiting for pickup and had a fine time- the food was fine, I think the standouts were the Papaya Salad and the Rama Noodles. We've only done take out rather than dine out (primarily due to a combination of our comfort level with COVID and managing two young children) - but we've really enjoyed them and have found our new go to Thai food. We order online from their website directly for pick up. Our regulars include the pad see ew noodles and the yellow curry, both of which are great. Good portion sizes for the prices too. We err on the side of less spicy because of our kiddos but the food still has great flavors. We've tried a lot of other Thai places around the area and many just are a bit bland, especially if you go low spice. Additionally - our daughter has a life threatening tree nut allergy (cashews, pecans, walnuts, pistachios) so eating out can feel a bit nerve wracking. She can eat peanuts safely which helps quite a bit. I don't know if they do this for all orders or if it's because of the note we add requesting they keep tree nuts away from our order, but they always have the chopped peanuts in a separate container (whether it be for pad thai or the sweet chili sauce for the fried tofu). While we do note she is safe to have peanuts, it feels like a thoughtful attention to detail and especially if it's in response to our note. read more

Ordered the Crying Tiger and Roti with peanut sauce. I have never had such terrible food from a Thai restaurant. I am not exaggerating when I say the Crying Tiger smelled like someone's rear end.
