Found this restaurant on complete accident while driving by craving Thai. I love that all of their menu items have pictures, whoever made this menu should be the menu master for all restaurants! I also love that they don't charge for the rice that goes with the curry, I always hate when a restaurant does that, it's such a cheap sales tactic. The prices are about on par with other thai restaurants, though I didn't even look at the appetizers and pretty much knew I wanted red curry right away. The basil garnish on top was a visual and culinarily excellent addition. My only criticisms are that the wooden chairs aren't very comfy, and there are no condiments on the tables like chilli sauce and salt/pepper. But the server was very sweet, and it wasn't busy. 10/10! Huge portions, and really nice service. The fresh rolls were exactly what I was craving, and the fact that it comes with 6 is just great. The Kee Mao is very good; perfect layers of flavor with the basil, chili, and savory sauce. They loaded plenty of broccoli, bell peppers, onions, and tomatoes with the wide egg noodles. The Phad Thai was fantastic too with their homemade tamarind sauce bringing all the right tang but still allowing the two-star spice to shine a little. Generous portion of fried egg in both dishes. The only critique I have is that the tofu which had an excellent crispy exterior was very dense (maybe they us extra firm?) so the center didn't have that silky, creamy texture that I typically prefer. Stopped here on a whim, and because it was close by a place that we were doing business just before. A long time ago, it was a Chinese restaurant, but I am really grateful that this is a Thai restaurant. In the order of my favorites, it is Vietnamese, Thai, and then Chinese food. Loved the ambiance. The customer service and care were good. We both thought the food was delicious! The food came out timely, fresh, and hot. I had wonton soup. It was filled with dumplings, shrimp, and bokchoy, with garlic and onion flavor. Was both different and more tasty than the wonton soup I have ever tried. My friend had noodles with peanut sauce and tofu. Raved about it. It is on my list to frequent when I'm in Edmonds. read more

Great menu with a wide variety of house specialties and long-time Thai food favorites. I enjoyed the pineapple fried rice with prawns. It had deep, rich flavors and came hot off the wok directly to the table. The maitre'd and servers were all friendly, helpful, professional. Recent dinner experience not the best. Ordered appetizer that came with sauce on top. First the dough of the appetizer was so dense and not cut through. Ask for sauce for that appetizer. It came with very small serving. Hard to get attention of severs - they were busy.And the bill at the end included a $4.95 service charge for extra appetizer sauce. If I would have known the unusual cost. I would stopped at the grocery store and got a glass jar of brown gravy. read more

This location only opened a couple of months ago so my Tuesday lunch was my first visit. I ordered the Saim Trio from the lunch menu along with Thai Coffee. The place is spotlessly clean and the service was prompt and friendly. The quality of the food was amazing and was far better than any that I had when I was in Bangkok. My photo does a poor job of convening the portion size, the amount of food that is served is very generous, and the flower makes for a nice decoration like one would expect at an expensive, high end, restaurant. The only glitch was that I ordered a Thai Iced Coffee but received a Thai Iced Tea. Not what I asked for, but close enough. I will definitely be coming back again. read more

We tried this place for takeout last evening because we heard the food was really good, but we will never know. The prawn dishes that were for me (and for which we paid extra) ended up with chicken instead (I don't eat chicken). My prawns ended up in my wife's dishes, but she is allergic to prawns. We ordered "mild" but it all came "medium/hot" (and we do eat Thai food so we do know the difference). We couldn't eat it that spicy. We paid $124 with tip, and had to throw it all out. I initially wondered whether we got the right order, but the receipt listed everything that we had phoned in for. For the benefit of others who might try this place, I just ask the staff to please check the orders more carefully (they couldn't have been rushed as there was only one party of four sitting down in the restaurant). Not sure what went wrong there, but we had really been looking forward to Thai food last night. Oh, well. read more

I really wanted to like the food. Maybe I just ordered the wrong thing, and really, I should've sent it back. But it was 5:30, I hadn't eaten but a small bite all day and I was starving! Our wonderfully attentive waitress took my order for lobster Pad Thai. We had crispy rolls for an appetizer; they were fine. My husband ordered panang curry and he very much enjoyed the flavor. I dove into my pad Thai when it arrived. The lobster pieces were breaded and fried. I hadn't expected this - I thought it would be some boiled or broiled pieces of lobster meat. I did see that tempura lobster was on the menu, but this wasn't even what I consider tempura. It was breaded, not battered. The noodle dish did have a little egg that I saw, but absolutely nothing else but some scallion pieces. But - the real problem was the noodles. The dish was overly sweet, with basically noodles and the tamarind sauce that I'm pretty certain was comprised of sugar and tamarind paste. The real culprit of why I'm awake writing this at 5:30 AM was the noodles. What can one do to ruin rice noodles? We'll need to ask the chef. My noodles on my plate were so rubbery I could not chew them. It literally was akin to eating rubber bands with sauce on them. Chew as I might, mastication of this feast was an impossibility. I needed a knife (which, of course, I didn't have) to even cut them. Again, my fault that I didn't send them back and that I ate as much as I did - I was so hungry! Hindsight...and all that. By the time I was full, the remainder of the pad Thai was a gelatinous mass (they do serve very generous portions!) on the plate. I asked for a box and slid the noodle sculpture mass in, thinking they were probably undercooked and would soften if I reheated them. However, after a night of digestive discomfort, I googled "why are my rice noodles rubbery" and it seems they were either 1) soaked too long; or 2) over-cooked. So I will add this labor of the chef's love to our trash. The orange slice on the plate was delish. The orchid, beautiful. This experience left me with a bad taste in my mouth - and a pain in my gut. Again, the service was fine. The inside of this restaurant remains much as it's been through the previous couple of owners. My friend said she had a "delicious" meal here, when I related my experience. So try this place - but if you have any rice noodles and they are pretty much inedible, remember what I'm saying - send them back to the kitchen! read more

I have visited Thai Wisdom Edmonds about 3 times in the last few weeks, and it has become my favorite Thai restaurant in Edmonds while other Thai restaurants in the vicinity are also very good. Great new addition to the Edmonds dining scene. First visit included Bah Mee which was done right. The Green Curry Chicken was the best curry I have had in ages, with a smooth delicate taste. Great Thai Surprise! Wife and I got hungry after doing grocery at nearby Grocery store. Went to try this Thai restaurant under new management. There was plenty of parking space and the nice server got us seated right away. Ordered Fried Calamari, Green Curry, Wonton Soup and Emperor Noodles. While waiting, we were served with a delightful thai iced tea. After a very short while, the food started arriving. Calamari was crunchy, curry had the right flavor, emperor noodles was very tasty and the soup was heaven. This place has earned a spot on our "goto" places for Thai. Our servers were super polite and friendly as well. We will be back to sample the rest of the menu. :) We also had the Black Sticky Rice Pudding to go. read more
