Ok, where to begin as a Thai myself, I found the food very, extremely disappointing. I had high hopes with very good reviews about this place, but once I've tried it myself, it was nothing like I was hoping it to be. It wasn't just one dish. I've tried many thinking that maybe it was just a bad single dish. Nothing authentic about the food. I highly do not recommend this place. I've even had to bring leftover dishes home and recreating it to make it better . Very disappointing! read more

I'm giving this a one star. We decided to order from Thai Cuisine some take out this evening which was a disaster from the start. I called thé restaurant over and over and kept getting a message that the customer I had dialed had not set up their answering service. Now let me say, we have ordered from here before albeit probably 3 years ago. So I knew they were in business still and from what I could recall the food was fairly good. So I was persistent and had to call 9 times before someone answered. (this in retrospect was an omen I should have payed attention to, but I was hungry and really wanted some good Thai food) Now let me preface this by saying we are not Thai, but we love Authentic Thai food. We have been to Thailand and we cook Thai probably a couple times a week at home. we ordered Pad Se Ew, Basil Fried Rice, Mango Curry, and of course Mango Sticky Rice. Everything had carrots in it, Pad Se Ew does not have carrots, Basil Fried rice does not have carrots. The basil fried rice had not a single solitary basil leaf in it. the rice was wet and mushy (the consistency of dog food if I'm being honest) it was weirdly sweet. Fried rice is really a basic of most Asian cuisines and is not supposed to be wet. The Mango Curry was not curry and had no heat whatsoever, as a matter of fact not a single dish had any Chili in it at all, and all had a sweet taste the curry was more like a sweet and sour sauce. The Mango Sticky rice (which is a favourite or mine and I have tried it in many places including Thai street markets, was disappointing as well. the mangos were sour and under ripe, there were no crispy mung beans on top, and the rice lacked the coconut flavour it should have had. There was not a sole in the restaurant when I picked up my food yet I had to wait an additional 20 minutes on top of the 30 I was quoted for my order (which would have been fine if the food was at least decent) this also baffled me as I had to call 9 times to get someone to pick up. I thought they must be really busy. I don't like to give such poor reviews, I try to find a positive, but in this case there just isn't one. read more

Every so often our office gets treated to lunch and I'm so glad we decided to order from Thai Cuisine instead of regular pizza place. When you don't work in the downtown core, sometimes you feel a bit left out from all the delicious options. Lucky for us, Thai Cuisine is located just a short drive from our location in Komoka on the edge of North West London. They have a fantastic lunch menu that has a lot of options and plenty of food, all for less than $10. I typically order the Cashew Chicken with a spring roll and won ton soup. The sauce they use is really yummy and contains mandarin oranges which adds a nice flavour. The spring rolls are always hot and the won ton soup is a bit too oily but I still find it quite delicious. I always save it for last. I have yet to visit Thai Cuisine for dinner but if their lunch is this good, I will be trying it very soon. The service is fantastic whenever we order take out and the restaurant is nicely decorated and clean. read more

Small unassuming shop on the side of Hyde park. Saw the 4 Star reviews and wanted to try it out. The place inside is a typical small restaurant. It's nice and cozy. The food. I ordered a Thai Green Chicken Curry, Coconut Rice and Satay Chicken Skewers. Was nicely packed up for take out. The satay chicken skewers were packed separately from the sauce. Dry chicken, very overcooked. Satay sauce was nice. The Thai Chicken had literally a 5-10mm layer of oil on top of it. That's quite a bit. Had to fish around for the few pieces of chicken in overcooked noodles and hard pieces of veggies. Did it taste well. Damn right. Was it awesome? No. Decent yes. I'll admit I'm a little disappointed. The coconut rice was sweet and with coconut on it. It was bleh. Argh! I so wanted some awesome Thai food today! :( might try something else from there next time. It did taste good. Food is great; the pick-up experience not so great. Arrived to pickup food, restaurant empty and phone quiet. told they were busy and had to wait; no problem. Another person arrives to pickup their order. Employee then calls the recent pickup to convey they gave them the incorrect order, tells me they are busy. I conclude the restau gave that customer my order, mistakes happen. customer returns to receive correct order and brings back the incorrect items. Employee advises customer to keep the incorrect items N/C as I wait for my order. When I suggest she gave the en my order she admitted mistake. No problem but I wait another 15 minutes for my paid order with no compensation while the other customer gets free food. Just venting lol. read more

Absolutely amazing!! I can't believe I've never reviewed this place on yelp before. It's my favourite Thai place in London! Fresh, FLAVOURFUL curries--they don't "whiten" the flavour (the spiciness level seems to vary with the day, though, so just ask for how spicy you want it.) I'm in love with the peanut curry, which is a wonderful balance of savory, salty, and spicy, and cannot be found anywhere else in London. Their homemade peanut sauce is phenomenal. It's thicker, richer, and more complex than the usual kind, but still quite sweet. Other standouts include the wonton soup (well-seasoned and full of vegetables) the pad si ew (rich with plenty of wok hei), and the chicken satay (nicely browned, yet so tender!) It's a small restaurant and not particularly fancy. The serving sizes are smaller than average. But they're simply AMAZING and a must-try. read more

We decided to try this little place as a last minute Sunday evening treat. We ordered chicken pad thai, coconut rice and golden chicken curry. the dishes were simple yet very delicious! The curry broth was absolutely amazing and we have enough food left for lunch tomorrow. This is our new favourite restaurant and will be back. read more

Thai food is plentiful in London it seems, but I was never fortunate enough to find a pad thai that I liked. Sure, there was tons of places with good reviews but the pad thai always fell a bit short for my taste. When this place opened up, I went to try their pad thai. It was honestly the best Pad Thai I had in London so far. The taste was exquisite and flavorful, and certainly wasn't TOO sweet like some of the other Pad Thai I had. The only reason I couldn't give this place a 5 star is because when I ordered the green curry, I found it a bit oily. As long as I was sticking to their rice and noodle dishes though, found it delicious! read more

My family moved into the area recently. On moving day we tried "Thai Cuisine" because it was nearby. The name is uninspiring, but the cooking is inspired. Really terrific Thai food. Our favourites are the shrimp curry, spring rolls and any stir fry. There is rarely anyone in the little house in Hyde Park. I hope their business works. Out of the Thai places in London, I like this place the best, and I've actually had Thai food in Thailand. Excepting the lack of freshly picked local tropical ingredients, their food is flavourful in the spirit of Thai food with spices and fruits that give things a great sweet and savoury mix. Other people raved about Ben Thanh to me but I hate their spicy yet bland pad thai. Thai Cuisine definitely does Pad Thai well. I haven't tried everything yet, but the Tom Yum Soup is packed with flavour (I could take spicier) and they have an excellent Pineapple Curry. The Mango Salad was a tad too sweet for me and not spicy at all, but then I did eat the entire thing by myself... and I think you're meant to share it before it gets too sweet. I went for my birthday the first time, and they gave me Deep Fried Ice Cream on the house with a candle and all! They have Mango Sticky Rice! (but I haven't tried it yet.) Prices are reasonable there, and it's close to home in the Whitehills neighbourhood so I like getting take out from here too. Love it! read more

I chose this place because of the positive reviews for our 20th wedding anniversary dinner. But almost everything at Thai Cuisine was disappointing, and all they do is say "sorry" over and over. The food was too sweet - the Tom Yum soup was syrupy sweet, the Green Curry and Basil Chicken stir fry were also sugary and way too much green peppers. The Basil stir fry (2 Chilli pepper Hot rating on menu was bland - so they said "sorry" and gave me some commercial sriracha sauce). The issues with service included neglecting drink orders (I ordered a Singha beer that never arrived), and when filling water glasses, the waitress poured water into my daughters Pad Thai, said sorry and left. The dish was not replaced. In the end my wife had enough and told them so. They gave us a complimentary Fried Banana dessert - a nice gesture, which was tasty, but we were sugared out by then. Note other restaurants would have taken away the soaked food and brought out another dish. I really hate to put in the negative review, and we really love Thai food. Yes, overall ingredients were fresh, food quality is decent and the folks there are really nice and polite. But there is better Thai food and service at Quynh Nhi, Mango Salad (Ingersoll) and Ben Thanh. We have had issues at these places, but instead of being "sorry", there is action. I would like to give this place another chance, but I doubt my family will. read more

Great little Thai place in the west end. Perfect for take out but I decided to eat in. The place is small but cosy and reminds me of the restaurants I went to in Thailand. Service was excellent and prompt. The food was great with fresh ingredients and an authentic taste. I had the chicken pad thai and the crab rangoon appetizer. Both were excellent. I also tried my friend's peanut curry and it was delicious. I think you're always going to get better taste and quality from eating in than take out so I am glad we decided to stop in. Just finished our meal and decided to write a review. There were six of us and we decided to get a bunch of different dishes for takeout today (march 2nd). We all love thai food and this place was near our friend's house. Overall we got 8 different entrees. I went to pickup the food and the hostess was incredibly polite. Decent flavors overall but they were extremely stingy on the meat. Especially the beef and shrimp dishes. There were three pieces of shrimp in the entire dish. Our beef dish had maybe five small pieces that were each a couple centimeters big. Dishes seemed very watery/brothy. Overall, not impressed and not worth the money for very little protein. We plan on ordering some pizza later tonight. read more

I have been here a number of times and always been happy. However, on my last trip to this restaurant I was very disappointed. I ordered the Pad Thai and it came with ONE shrimp. ONE! I even called the server over assuming this was a mistake but was told, 'lunch special comes with only one shrimp". Really? ONE shrimp? Needless to say, I will not return because they were cheap. For the 50 cents it would have cost them to give two more shrimp (still making it a measly 3 shrimp - but somewhat acceptable) they have lost a family of four as customers. read more
