I'm not impressed really but then why would I have expectations for good Thai food in the Midwest. I ordered fresh spring rolls and they don't serve them with peanut sauce. I ordered pad Thai as my entree and preserved medium spicy and the cook put no spice in so I sent it back to be fixed and she seemed pissed and the whole experience just sucked overall. They also don't have fresh brewed iced tea it's brisk machine tea. The only reason for any stars at all is the server trying to make it right. I was really excited for a Thai place to be opening in Quincy, and loved the atmosphere of the restaurant itself. It might be small, but it's so cute! However, the food was not what I had hoped it would be. First, we ordered the shrimp during rolls. They only put one small piece of shrimp in each roll, a few noodles, and the rest was just lettuce. Then, we ordered the chicken drunken noodles and the green curry. We were told that the spice level was medium, but I would put it more at a hot level. It was a little too painful to finish of my meal, and, needles to say, I did not bring my leftovers home. I felt that they were a little stingy with the amount of meat they gave you, as well. The servers, however, were awesome and so friendly! They did everything to make sure we had what we needed. We chose ThaiD'Lish because the food is tasty and the staff is friendly. The biggest drawback is the lack of any acoustic buffers. When the restaurant is busy it's impossible to converse with your dining partner(s). Anyone with hearing issues suffers through, or in our case doesn't, we left for a quieter restaurant experience. We did ask for a quieter table, hoping to stay, but they wouldn't accommodate seating us in an area that was saved for carry-out customers. This in in a large room where there's even a soft sitting area as well as two duce tabletops and two tall tables. And the room was EMPTY. read more

Really good though, and after not having Thai in over a year after moving here from the Chicago area, it was great to have Thai food again! Also for my Pad Thai, it's the first time I've ever been charged to add shredded carrots and the first place I've been to where there were no vegetables in it whatsoever- that was disappointing. Lunch diners beware! Very slow service. We actually came over at 11:30 because we only had an hour. It took 45 minutes to get served and we all had ordered from the "lunch specials" menu. I had to call the waitress over and she looked at the ticket -- she had taken our order at 11:42. It was almost 12:30 when we were served. She only brought it then because we told her we had to leave. I had to take mine back to my office in a go-box and eat it much later. They took them back to the the bar ask redelivered them to the correct table which is absolutely disgusting considering they were actually ON our table. Upon receiving our correct appetizers I had to get up to get plates for our table. I then had to get up to refill our drinks because the server never came back. The server had no clue what an onion was. I ordered my food with no onion and she came back to ask me if that meant no green onion. The server never came back to check on us once we receipt our food. Thai D'Lish was the number one place to visit when they first opened. It was a great atmosphere and very friendly waiters! It didn't take long to get our food which I enjoyed. I first ordered a appetizer of Crab Rangoon which is a personal favorite of mine, the waiter told me that it is best in town and it most definitely is! I would go back and just order that. But my entree was not my favorite, I ended up not eating it and sending it home with my friend. I got the Sukiyaki, and I was very disappointed. I can't emphasize this enough... I am not bashing this restaurant. It's a very nice place with a very cool vibe. The issue was our server and the service we were provided. We were quickly greeted and seated. Things went south from there. We sat quite a while before we even saw our waitress, the first words out of her mouth was I'm sorry ? There were 3 tables... not busy for 2 servers. She took our drink order and our food order at the same time. A couple seated after us were waited on a served drinks before us. Our drinks came only mins before our app with another apology. Soft drinks were flat. My wife mentioned that. Another apology, but they were not replaced until after we got our meal... It's been over an hour at this point, the drinks were still not good. Yet again, another apology, but they were not removed from our ticket. Apologies are fine, but should not be used as an excuse for incompetence. The service was not good... Our experience was nearly 2 hours, and watching people come in after us, finish and leave becomes frustrating to say the least... That all being said, prices were quite fair. read more

They did a great job packaging the food except they messed up two dishes which were supposed to be vegetarian and added chicken so we weren't able to enjoy it. I was very excited about this place opening up, but it has gone from an exceptional restaurant in a land of 'blah' to one that will struggle to find and then keep clientele. I have been here 5 times in the last two weeks, introducing it to friends, coworkers and trying to be a good ambassador for the place. Even so, there is much that could be improved. The portions at lunch started out acceptable, but have gotten smaller over the last two weeks. The spice level started out predictable, but the chef is now erring on the side of no heat. I had 'medium' tonight with nary a pepper flake to be seen. I've had ramen noodles with more spice. Thai D'lish has quickly adapted to mediocrity, and I am sad to see it. Today was my first visit. The Tom Kha soup was Amazing with a capital A. The yellow curry, which is supposed to be the least spicy of Thai curry dishes, was still too spicy for me and I wasn't able to eat much of it. The plates on other tables looked fantastic. I wish I could have eaten mine. It was pretty pricey, but it is a small business with a specialty flavor. Still, a dollar or 2 less I think would have been a fair price. read more

Was excited to come here for lunch with my girlfriend on her hourlong lunch break. I even got there a little early and ordered for both of us before she left work. She works near by so she came over when our salads were served. 45 minutes later we received our appetizer, upon which time we asked for our food to go so she could get back to work. The waitress went to the kitchen and came back saying she didn't know how long it would be for our food as there were several tables with orders ahead of us and she brought our bill with drink and appetizer charged. She offered zero apology or service recovery. I said "you need to tell people ahead of time if it will be an hour and a half to get food" in which she replied "we do that"... which of course they did not for us. I hope this restaurant enjoys the $9.22 they got from me for a soda and app, it will be the last they get from me. Customer service... another victim of the pandemic. read more

I just moved to Quincy and I was excited to try the Thai food at Thai D'Lish. I was pretty disappointed with the food and especially disappointed with the serving sizes. The appetizers are overpriced and they totally skimp on the amount you are given. 4 crab rangoons when usually restaurants give you 6-8. They give you 3 teeny tiny egg rolls instead of 4. Overall the taste of the food, the serving sizes and the price make me never want to return. read more

First time eating here and I was impressed with the red curry which is my usual when visiting a thai restaurant. Plan to come back next week. It seemed like they were still settleling in which is understandable since they just recently opened. Slow to take my order but the food arrived quickly. Seems they need a point of sale system. They seemed bogged down with managing tickets with them all over the bar! I didn't see any appetizers. Maybe I missed it as I grabbed a takeout menu while sitting at the bar. Also no fruit smoothies...which I usually get at thai restaurants. I love a frozen mango drink with thai. Sweet and heat works. Decor is nice except for the carpet in the front part. Carpet in a restaurant isn't a good idea! Pricing was good and portion was right on. Please change your menu pictures you have posted online as they are hard to read! Glad to have thai back in town!
