I had lunch at Siam on a Friday. I came in at 1:45. The woman who greeted me was the owner I…read morebelieve. She asked if I was there for the buffet because it would be ending at 2. I said no, I can order from the menu. She and the gentleman server just kind of looked at me so I asked, "Do I seat myself?" It was my first visit so I didn't know. The gentleman said "Yes, sit wherever you'd like." I sat down at a table for 2. The interior is a bit small but as it was later in the afternoon there were plenty of seating options. Thai music videos were playing on a television and there were Thai photos and artwork on the walls. The gentleman who greeted me took my drink and appetizer order. When he brought my iced tea, he took my entree order. I have had Pad Thai two other places and got 5/10 heat rating both times. Both were spicy, but not overly so. When I got my spring rolls, I was excited to try them. I dipped them in the peanut sauce and took a bite. They were good but something didn't taste quite right. I finished one roll and started on a second one, trying to figure out why they tasted a little off to me. After a couple bites, a piece of cilantro came out of the roll onto my plate. That explained it. I'm one of those people for whom cilantro tastes bad/soapy. So the rolls are probably good, as long as you like cilantro! When my pork Pad Thai came out, it looked amazing! It tasted really good, too--I ate the entire plate full! It was much spicier/hotter than the two I had tried at other restaurants, but I liked it spicy. The only drawback was that I finished my glass of iced tea pretty quickly, given the spiciness, and did not get a refill until about ten minutes later. The gentleman who served me was taking down the buffet and wiping down tables, which is fine, but he didn't come check on the two tables that were still in the restaurant. The woman came in from the front entry area after about ten minutes and refilled my glass with water. I drank it, and was not offered another refill until a different server came with my check, another ten-fifteen minutes later. Over all, the Pad Thai was excellent, the spring rolls were probably good for cilantro people, but I do wish I'd been able to get more to drink.

Siam Cuisine used to be the top spot in the Omaha area to get Thai Cuisine; they were strong in the…read morecultural flavors that I expect and enjoy from Thai food but now it seems that they have changed ownership and have americanized their entire menu. Before a spice level 2 on a meal was reasonably warm but now it is almost sickly sweet with no actual flavor. Their pho is bland; their Pad Thai is too sweat with not enough unique flavor and honestly it is just severely disappointing compared to what I remember. The service is quick and courteous and the ambiance inside is peaceful but overall this was just a disappointment to return to this restaurant after so many years.

Stopped by IPHO for lunch with some friends, and it absolutely hit the spot! The place is super…read morelow-key, but the staff made us feel right at home. We started with drinks. Heads up, soft drinks come in a can so no free refills here, but water is available, thankfully. I treated myself to a strawberry lemonade with popping dragon fruit boba, and let me tell you, it was fantastic. Definitely getting that again. We started with crab rangoon. Service was a bit slow, even though it was not too busy, but the rangoons were worth every second. For the main event, we each grabbed a large bowl of pho. One special, one steak-only (mine), and one chicken. I love that all the sauces, utensils, and extras are right on the table. The broth is what makes pho, and theirs did not disappoint. The noodles took a little work, but everything came together perfectly. And the plate of sprouts, cilantro, lime, and jalapeño lets you doctor your soup just the way you like it. Lunch came to about $37 after tip (I covered the rangoons), which is a little steep, but considering I got a craft lemonade, a pop, a large soup, and plenty of leftovers, I think it was worth it. Honestly, the quality and quantity more than justify the price. I'm even starting to welcome colder weather just so I can enjoy this soup more often! I will absolutely be back.

This is the best pho you can ever eat. That's…read moreall...............................................................................................................

I love Mercy Thai's Pineapple Fried Rice! If you are eating here, you absolutely must order this…read moredish. First of all, the presentation is amazing. The flavor profile is a total home run. It strikes that perfect balance of savory and sweet without being overly sugary. The pineapple chunks are incredibly fresh and juicy, and they don't skimp on the toppings either. You get plenty of tender shrimp, savory chicken, and a generous handful of crunchy cashews and raisins that add the perfect texture to every single bite. I ordered mine at a spice level 8, which gave it just a good kick to balance out the sweetness of the fruit, but you can customize it from 1-10 depending on how brave you are. The service was also super fast and friendly. This is easily some of the best Thai food in the metro area. I will definitely be back to order this again!

Not being from the area, I wasn't sure if you ordered before you sat or sat yourself- upon being there I realized you can order up front for to-go orders or seat yourself and she will wait on you like a typical restaurant! I don't believe she spoke great English but she understood me/my order perfectly. The food was incredible. I've eaten Thai everywhere I go and this was in line with the best places I've been. The serving of pad Thai is definitely enough for two meals at a fair price. The dessert was also perfect. Highly suggest Mercy Thai and when I come back to the area, I will return! Thanks for the delicious meal!
