I was wanting some Pad Thai, and made my way over to Thai Spice right by my house - only to discover they were permanently closed! So I searched Yelp for a highly rated spot and that's how I came upon Dan's Thai Cuisine. The inside was very sparse, but clean. The decor is mostly black inside with a large counter at the front where you would order to-go things, I'm assuming. We got seated at a booth, and started perusing the menu. I agree with a lot of other reviews that said they were the only people in the place when they dined there. We had the same experience, but we were also there at like 1:30pm, a bit after the lunch rush. The server came over to take our drink orders. I wanted a soda (always get that with any spicy food), and they only had the soda options in bottles and cans, which I'm not a huge fan of. It feels like I could just be eating at home with a soda from my fridge. For starters, we ordered crab rangoon and the pork dumplings. The Rangoons were really good and came out piping hot. The sauce that came with it was a spicy sweet and sour. It had a little less sweet than I like and was more a savory sweet and sour. Hmmm. The Pork Dumplings were amazing, though. They were almost like a mini egg roll, with a few veggies inside, and not just pork. I liked that a lot, because I'm not a huge pork person normally. The meals are very large, so be prepared to have leftovers! For my entree, I got the Pad Thai with Curry Sauce. It was SO tasty. It had a slight sweetness to the sauce, a lot of the protein (I got beef due to our server's recommendation) and a little heat from the curry sauce. Yum! My husband got the Pineapple Fried Rice, and it first came out with no pineapple in it! He said it was tasty and also pretty spicy, but he did let our server know there was no pineapple in his pineapple fried rice. They took it back and re-fired it with pineapple, and then it was perfect. Now here is where I will tell you, if you are not a fan of spicy food, this place might not be for you. I ordered the MILD on my meal and it was making my nose run, it was so spicy, still. My husband agreed with his fried rice making his head sweat! So with not much ambiance to speak of, I would say if you dine with Dan's Thai Cuisine, you could do it via DoorDash or the other delivery apps. Just make sure to be prepared for it to be pretty spicy no matter what level you order, even mild. I still enjoyed my meal at Dan's, but I think I will order it via DoorDash next time.

Went for lunch with a buddy today. This is a good ol fashioned hole in the wall. I believe our server was also our chef. She seemed to be only one there. I had the chicken larb and asked for it spicy hot and she delivered. Great flavor and nice and SPICY! We shared the sausage and rice balls as well. Look forward to trying more.

Ate here for the first time over the weekend. I was the only one at the restaurant the entire time of my meal midday on a Friday afternoon. The service was very quick and the meal was very good. I would definitely go back here. The interior of the dining room doesn't have a lot going on and it's pretty basic but it's a restaurant so what is important is the food. The spring rolls were very good the peanut sauce awesome and my pad Thai with curry sauce entrée was very good. If I had to be picky, I would just say that my portion could have been just a little bit bigger and I would've been extra happy but still the taste was there and I really enjoyed it

I wanted to try out a new Thai restaurant so I decided to go here. Very spacious interior and we got seated right away! We ordered pineapple fried rice, fried fish in tamarind sauce, and pad Thai. Everything was delicious and well seasoned!

Ordered online and it was nice getting a notification email about when it was ready!! The eggrolls and the chicken wings were sooooo good!!! However, it was not a good batch for the pad thai. It just did not have any flavor at all and just tasted like cooked pad Thai noodles with no flavor which I've never had before but maybe it was just a weird night! Other than that, my Thai tea, egg rolls, and chicken wings were soooo amazing and filling!

I ordered this on DoorDash, so I cannot speak to the service and the ambience. However, the food I received was disappointing. The basil, fried rice was very greasy and did not have enough flavor. The evil curry which was their variant of a red curry was super watery and lackluster.

My friends and I recently discovered Dan's as newcomers in town and we've already been back twice because it's so delicious! The place and the people are GREAT, but we just as equally enjoy the food as well! The dishes are flavorful, authentic and well-portioned. Thai tea here is a must order.

Delicious! Fast, friendly service. Atmosphere for dine in is basic, but they were doing a lot of takeout orders.

When I eat here it feels like my soul leaves my body and starts ascending, that is how good it is. Service Um, ed, and Maggie are genuinely some of my favorite servers in the whole world; sometimes when I go here I'm looking forward to seeing them as much as I am the food. While sometimes it can be a bit slow, that is because the kitchen is taking their time for you, no shortcuts. Food Every time I eat here I think, "it can possibly get better than last time," but guess what, it does. Every thing I have gotten here has been AMAZING, for example the drunken noodles and the pad Thai, and don't get me started on the pho, absolutely heavenly. Ambience Khao Niao has some of the best ambience. Every time you eat here you can look around and find something new. They focus on a wood interior with beautifully crafted tables and archways. Along with some little fountains 10/10 ambiance Overall Khao niao is as good as it gets, by far my favorite restaurant!

Also can be nosy so not ideal if your looking for intimate vibes. It was also so busy with takeout orders as well - which I cant blame anyone for! The food tops it all! This is hands down the best thai in omaha. I have a friend that has tried many thai places here and recommended this place to me. We always go with the pad thai but definitely want to branch out next time we go. It is a little on the pricier side but thats what you get for high quality food. You also get to choose your spice level. We will continue to come back!!

The dipping sauce had a nice sweet and tangy balance that tied it all together. You can tell everything was made fresh. The soup was just what I wanted too. Light but really flavorful broth, plenty of herbs and green onions, and comforting without feeling heavy. Service was friendly, food came out quick, and the overall vibe was relaxed and easy. Great local spot when you're in the mood for fresh, flavorful Thai food. Would definitely come back.

Honestly I was really disappointed with Mercy Thai…read more The chicken wings were completely flavorless. They literally just seemed battered in panko and fried with no seasoning at all. 0/10. The crab rangoons sounded good from the description -- cream cheese, crab pieces, onion, and carrots -- but they were WAY too sweet for my taste. Not to mention there were none of the ingredients described inside?! Seems like it was only cream cheese and sugar. Then the sweet chili sauce that came with them was super watery and just made it worse. 2/10 overall. I also tried my boyfriend's drunken noodles and... mid at best Definitely not something I'd come back for. Maybe other menu items are better, but based on what I tried, I personally wouldn't recommend it.

I do love pad thai itself, but I unfortunately did NOT love "I Love Pad Thai" the restaurant…read more We ordered it for delivery when we were working one day and couldn't make it out for lunch/didn't have time to make lunch ourselves. I know everywhere is better if you eat it inside, but if they offer delivery, I think that it should be about on par with what you get in the restaurant (because they certainly charge the same or more than dining in). This either was just not great from the get go, or it lost a LOT of quality in the delivery time. I don't think that's the case, because a delivery time doesn't make most of the food almost FLAVORLESS. Cold, maybe - but flavor doesn't vanish from it being delivered? So if you couldn't tell, we were not fans of almost anything we received. My Pad See Yew was literally flavorless. It tasted like WATER was used for the "sauce" on it. The chicken in it was also very stringy and dry. My husband got the Pad Thai, which did have a little bit more flavor, with the peanut sauce, but not a whole lot more. The only saving grace was the fried dumpling appetizer we ordered. Those were tasty and the dipping sauce they came with was good (it said it was just soy sauce but it wasn't super salty like soy sauce, more sweet). At almost $50 for two entrees that were basically untouched because they were so dry and flavorless, I would say order elsewhere or dine inside so you can gauge what you are getting in person.

For the price, my portion was small and the chicken had a rubbery flavor. And it was very greasy!…read moreToo bad it's in a great location.
