    Lunch buffet

The selection for the lunch buffet is small but it's such a yummy place to go, I highly highly recommend!

Food and service is top notch. This husband and wife run hidden gem behind Bellevue Medical Center is my favorite go-to for Thai. They have a buffet Weds-Friday during lunch and it truly is the best way to experience all of their offerings. If you don't see what you want, she will make some and put it on the buffet! Their crab Rangoon and fried spring rolls are some of the lightest, crunchiest ones I have put in my mouth, and the pad Thai is always on point and not Americanized like many places. But my favorite: red curry or Basil Chicken is the best! You can TASTE AUTHENTICITY and love. Above the food, you have cute gifts you can purchase, but the service is too notch. He is so extremely nice, working the front and taking care of customers while she works the kitchen. You have got to go try this place. Decor isn't fancy. You are paying for the food here! They have struggled since Covid, so go stop in and show them some love. Guaranteed, this becomes a favorite spot for Thai food.

From greeting to departure, we have felt welcome and appreciated. Not sucked-up-to. Appreciated. It's like they dig what they're doing. Feels great. This is doubly true for us when dining at the bar. We had a great conversation with the gent serving, and enjoyed him nearly as much as the meal. The fish. So fresh. So tasty. Soft. Perfectly cut. Mmm. Parking is pretty simple. Plenty of space behind the building. Chill neighborhood, too. Felt quite safe. At some point, I need to try some of the many other types of Japanese cuisine, Chinese cuisine, and Thai cuisine. This place makes me wish I lived in Bellevue.

I wasn't expecting an out of the way place having such a great take on Asian culture!

One day, I had the entire day off - holiday, I think - so I asked the boyfriend if he'd like to meet me for lunch somewhere, and he agreed. The only condition was that it would have to be relatively close to the work-place. Since it had just opened, we thought we'd give Thai Delicious a shot at teasing the taste buds... We weren't quite sure what to expect, but, we definitely were not expecting what we saw when we entered... Thai Delicious, it seems, is an office space that has been haphazardly converted into a restaurant. With a single employee who acts as hostess, waitress, and chef, it would be an overstatement that more than two people, at a time, would be difficult to serve. Such was the case on this day. After my boyfriend and I were seated, after we were promptly given a menu, utensils, and water, another couple came in and were seated in front of a large television which our gracious hostess turned on for them. Unfortunately, she returned to take our orders and then disappeared behind what looked like a closet door. Shortly thereafter, approximately five minutes, the couple turned off the television and headed out. Much to her surprise, our hostess/waitress/chef emerged with two plates of pad thai and immediately noticed that the other two patrons had left. She then began to explain why she was the only one working there - to save on costs. We can understand that - who couldn't? Unfortunately, it's not exactly something you share with first-timers - and especially BEFORE they've begun to eat their meal... Speaking of eating our meals... the pad thai was, at best, mediocre. All the requisite ingredients were there, but it was lackluster and severely plain with no amount of assistance from the lime or peanuts. In her defense, I have seriously high expectations of the food I eat. I'm from Hawai`i and am the daughter of a chef-instructor, so I'm bound to have issues with some things that I sample... I don't care if an establishment is run-down looking or if it's odd and quirky...sometimes, that can be a good thing and add some character to the place. I do, however, care if the food I'm given is not tasty or interesting to the palate. In this case, unfortunately, the pad thai fell short. Will I go there again? I hope someone else has better luck than I did. If you do, Yelp it, and I'll give it a second chance. For now? I think I'll stick to the places I've been and the Thai food I've enjoyed. Better luck for the next Thai Delicious patrons.

The crab rangoons sounded good from the description -- cream cheese, crab pieces, onion, and carrots -- but they were WAY too sweet for my taste. Not to mention there were none of the ingredients described inside?! Seems like it was only cream cheese and sugar. Then the sweet chili sauce that came with them was super watery and just made it worse. 2/10 overall. I also tried my boyfriend's drunken noodles and... mid at best Definitely not something I'd come back for. Maybe other menu items are better, but based on what I tried, I personally wouldn't recommend it.

Heads up, soft drinks come in a can so no free refills here, but water is available, thankfully. I treated myself to a strawberry lemonade with popping dragon fruit boba, and let me tell you, it was fantastic. Definitely getting that again. We started with crab rangoon. Service was a bit slow, even though it was not too busy, but the rangoons were worth every second. For the main event, we each grabbed a large bowl of pho. One special, one steak-only (mine), and one chicken. I love that all the sauces, utensils, and extras are right on the table. The broth is what makes pho, and theirs did not disappoint. The noodles took a little work, but everything came together perfectly. And the plate of sprouts, cilantro, lime, and jalapeño lets you doctor your soup just the way you like it. Lunch came to about $37 after tip (I covered the rangoons), which is a little steep, but considering I got a craft lemonade, a pop, a large soup, and plenty of leftovers, I think it was worth it. Honestly, the quality and quantity more than justify the price. I'm even starting to welcome colder weather just so I can enjoy this soup more often! I will absolutely be back.
