Stopped by Mercy Thai Restaurant and had a really solid meal. Started with the fresh spring rolls -- super crisp veggies, fresh herbs, and perfectly cooked shrimp. The dipping sauce had a nice sweet and tangy balance that tied it all together. You can tell everything was made fresh. The soup was just what I wanted too. Light but really flavorful broth, plenty of herbs and green onions, and comforting without feeling heavy. Service was friendly, food came out quick, and the overall vibe was relaxed and easy. Honestly I was really disappointed with Mercy Thai The chicken wings were completely flavorless. They literally just seemed battered in panko and fried with no seasoning at all. 0/10. The crab rangoons sounded good from the description -- cream cheese, crab pieces, onion, and carrots -- but they were WAY too sweet for my taste. Not to mention there were none of the ingredients described inside?! Seems like it was only cream cheese and sugar. Then the sweet chili sauce that came with them was super watery and just made it worse. 2/10 overall. I also tried my boyfriend's drunken noodles and... mid at best Definitely not something I'd come back for. Mercy Thai is a fabulous restaurant in Central Omaha. The location is incredibly easy to get to, just off 76th and Dodge on the North side in the strip mall. The inside is inviting with plenty of room to sit. The staff is incredibly friendly and the menu is full of a wide variety of Thai and Chinese favorites, including multiple types of noodle and curry dishes, delicious appetizers, drinks and desserts. Overall, there is SO much to try here and I will definitely need to go back to try more of the food. On this particular visit, I start with an appetizer (So Moo Dwa), which is like a samosa and stuff with beef, potatoes, and onion and served with a dipping sauce. You get 4 but I ate two of them before taking the photo - very delicious with or without the sauce! The entree was just as tasty - I had planned on taking some home but ended up eating the whole thing! The meal was delicious and I will definitely be going back again. This place has been a staple restaurant since we moved to Omaha! Highly recommend the drunken noodles if it's your first time!

I ordered the fried vegetable noodle with chicken for my protein. Overall I did enjoy this dish very much. The noodles were cooked well and the vegetables in the dish were soft and flavorful as well. The chicken was tender but there was not a lot of chicken in the dish at all which was a little disappointing. Overall the portion size was good due to the amount of noodles. I did eat this out of the to go box so a lot of the sauce was sitting on the bottom so next time I'll either transfer to a bowl or mix better. Another thing I appreciated was how hot the food was even when I got home to eat it so I'm sure it would be even better if you sat down to eat in the establishment. Overall I will give this a 4/5 stars. I would have given it a 5/5 if there was more chicken in the dish. Also the customer service was great and pickup was quick! Came here for dinner recently. It is a standard strip mall setting. I was setting right away as there was not many people here. I noticed they had pad see ew on the menu and state they use Chinese broccoli. I often see this but rarely get Chinese broccoli, only American broccoli. To my surprise, they actually used Chinese broccoli. Only issue was they didn't cut it up much. Huge leafs and stalks about 5" long. A little more effort to cut this would have been appreciated. Full disclosure: this review is based strictly on one lunch takeout experience. Needing a quick lunch while on the love, the yelp algorithm led me to Mercy Thai. That tells you how much I go to Thai restaurants....a whole lot. I've had too many pad Thai's to even count. Mercy's Pad Thai is unlike any I've had before. The portion size is great, and the noodles are perfectly done. But it's spicy.....like really spicy. I chose a level 5 spice out of 10 and instantly was taken aback with the first bite. Halfway through my nose is running and I'm seeking water. Am I really that much of a weekling? If that's the case, level 10 would easily put me in an ambulance! They do, arguably, have fantastic food. However, the last straw for my patronage was this most previous visit. They blast Christian country music in the restaurant. You will receive no arguments from me regarding anyone's beliefs. Everyone has a right. However - as a business please have respect for your customers. Less than half of your customers are Christians. Playing a few songs would not bother anyone... I respect that is your right... but change it up to something neutral that is in the background. I can't stand country and I'm not Christian. This is the last genre of music I expected from a Thai restaurant. A low level I can ignore but it was LOUD. I came to Mercy Thai on a Saturday afternoon for a late lunch. The inside decor is cute, with blue walls and pictures of Thailand on the walls. I was greeted warmly and told I could choose my own table. Once I did, my server came over promptly with a menu and took my drink order. I ordered egg rolls for an appetizer, and pork pad Thai for my entree. The egg rolls were delicious! The order came with 4 rolls and a sweet chili sauce, and there was soy sauce on the table as well. I saved a couple to take home so I'd have room for my entree. When the Pad Thai came, it looked so good! I ordered it at a heat level of 5 out of 10. It was enough to make my mouth tingly but not too spicy to enjoy. It comes with scallions but I asked for them to be left off, which wasn't a problem. Crushed peanuts and a lime were served on the side so I could customize my dish however I chose. As I mentioned, the sauce had a kick to it and it was very good. I got a pickup order here for dinner a few days ago. I had the yellow chicken curry and papaya salad. And my husband had the beef pad ped and beef drunken noodles. The curry didn't have much flavor to it. It's definitely way more mild of a curry flavor than any other curry I've had from other places. The noodles in the drunken noodles were mushy and overcooked. My husband liked his pad ped. And the papaya salad was refreshing. We might go back and try this place one more time because my husband liked his pad ped dish. Got takeout from here for dinner. I got a pad thai tofu and red curry chicken both level 4 spice. Both were $12.95 before tax. Admittedly, I saw the picture of their menu which listed both at $8.95 and that's what brought me here. Blame it on inflation, supply chains, or Joe Biden but it doesn't seem like anywhere in Omaha sells a pad thai for less than $10 anymore. Their price change does not affect my rating. The pad thai came in a good quantity and was not too oily which I appreciated. However I just didn't find it as tasty as say Salween or Bangkok Kitchen. I would've liked the red curry to be a bit thicker but had good taste. Vegetables come in decent size chunks, personally would've liked them smaller. Spice was the right amount for a level 4. We are from California where there's an abundance of all types of Asian foods and we are always surprised with how good Thai food is outside of California. We usually order pad Thai (a good indicator of how good the restaurant is). We came in around 1 o'clock and we were seated almost immediately. We ordered pad Thai with shrimp and the Tom Ka Kai which has chicken, cilantro, lemon grass, pepper, tomatoes, tamarind, fish, coconut milk, chili paste and mushrooms- wow that description alone is making my mouth water. 5/5 would def recommend people to come check this place out! read more

We must have hit their busiest dinner time on a Friday night, because there was quite a wait for orders--both for dine in and to-go orders. Their Tom Yam soup is definitely one of better ones I've tasted and tried so far. Great balance of sweet, sour, and creaminess that's almost hard to describe into words. But you'll just know it with your first sip (side thought...do you eat or drink soup?...either way, you all get what I'm saying). The Combination Pad Thai had just the right consistency and flavor to my liking. Another home run and win for my tastebuds. Unfortunately, they didn't have the sweet rice mango dessert for us to try. Green Curry is to die for! All of us liked everything we ordered (with one exception) but the green curry was the star of the show. Fried Noodles were good, the Drunken Fried Rice was also good but needed more oomph somehow (likely needs more spices), and the egg rolls were perfect. The rice balls however ... Not sure what those were but they weren't what we were expecting. We had high hopes for them but sadly none of us liked them. The noodles were over cooked and stuck together. The spring rolls had one tiny piece of 1/2 shrimp in them. No peanut sauce (I had a to go order). However, there was only one wait person for all the tables (7 tables when we were there) plus they were handling to-go orders also. We got the fresh springs rolls and crab rangoon. The spring rolls were pretty good but not enough protein in them. The crab rangoon were nice and chewy. My friend got the drunken noodles. I got the Pad Ped with Pork (spice level 5). This was a new dish for me so I have no real idea what it is *supposed* to taste like. My son got the Pad Thai with Pork (spice level 1). I don't know if I'll come back because it's a pretty far drive and there are two very solid choices for Thai food very close to me.
