    Thai Tea
    Allison H.

This place is super cute and comfortable! I remember years ago it used to be kind of stuffy but they have remodeled and redecorated. There are booths and tables available. We were seated immediately and given menus. My mother in law and sister in law have been here quite a bit but I hadn't in some time. I reviewed the menu but didn't really research before coming in which I wish I had of so I could try something new. Next time for sure! The chicken pad thai was amazing. She asked how spicy and i said 3 like my sister in law and I think the 3 was on a scale of 5 instead of 10 LOL very spicy but so good. I took left overs thinking it would cool down the next day...wrong lol still spicy but so good! The thai tea was a perfect compliment to the spice also. We will be back!

    Pineapple fried rice with shrimp

Jay was an incredible waitress and the food was absolutely amazing. Thought it was weird that there were 2 Thai restaurants next to each other (shame on you Mai Thai), but were very happy to have chosen Thai Elephant. Highly recommend! We got Drunken Noodles (level 3 hot), pineapple fried rice (level 4 hot) and sticky mango rice. I am a Thai connoisseur and this place was top notch! The pictures were after they were boxed, so not the best.

I got taro boba (non dairy as it should be) and the drunken noodles with tofu. They were delicious! I got the pad see ew for my husband which was also good and my friend ordered the pad Thai which she enjoyed. Will definitely be coming back!

    Massaman curry with duck!

We took my stepdad with us for Father's Day, and we made reservations for five. We got seated within about 10 minutes. Upon sitting, the service is real expedient and courteous. Part of the red curry, but they actually brought out the spicy Masserman. And I didn't realize I started till I started eating it that it was the wrong dish, and they immediately corrected it and brought out the red curry within five minutes. It was more of a thick tie. Still very delicious and filling had leftovers for breakfast the next day, so nice soothing I'll be on star and they have outdoor seating.

To cheap to fill up the sweet n sour sauce.

I ordered Chicken Pad Thai, Crab Rangoon and Thai ice tea. The Thai ice tea I order with no ice so they poured 2/3 of a cup. Really your that cheap and can't fill up the cup? Crab Rangoon - 6 pieces for $10 which are extremely small and the only thing in them was cream cheese and no crab at alll and not worth it for the price. Chicken Pad Thai was extremely small for $20 They forgot allot of the ingredients. No peanuts No Scallions No Eggs A few bean sprouts No lime No cilantro Used the wrong noodles and were overcooked 1oz of slivered chicken overcooked and dry No tamarind in the dish looks like they used ketchup instead Sweet n Sour sauce too cheap to fill up a 2oz container just puts in half of the sauce? This places is completely empty on a Saturday night at 6:00 pm. That explains it completely and I would go some other place to eat. I have tried several places in Summerville and the only place that has great food and packed was Fish Camp and I gave them 5 stars. I am ex chef and I know how to cook Thai food but this is sad for the Hight cost, small portions and port quality. Eat. Some place else instead of this location.

First time eating here. Very nice, friendly atmosphere. I ordered the basil chicken stir-fry- medium. It was the perfect heat! Excellent meal. Will definitely be back!

So delicious! We really enjoyed our meal and everything was so flavorful! Spice level 1-5 and I picked 3. Perfect flavor and spice. Great service and we will definitely be back!

I was greeted instantly by the hostess and she answered my questions regarding the menu. Also, any question she didn't know the answer to, she quickly sought out an answer. (I appreciate that!!) As I waited on my to go order, I sat inside to take in the decor and loved the eclectic vibe and the marrying of cultures. My food was delicious and still piping hot after I made a stop before returning home.

I was actually pretty excited about this place because I was craving Thai food. I saw the pictures and it looked legit. I ordered the Panang curry thinking it was a safe choice... This is for to-go and I was so excited to get to my hotel and eat it (8 min drive). When I got back- I was alittle disappointed that it wasn't in a more bowl-like or cup container. It also looked a bit different than other pics of Panang curry I saw on yelp- it wasn't as soupy or saucy as I had hoped. - minor annoyance was that they also didn't have brown rice. But Understandable since br rice isn't really Thai. - Another minor thing was I requested a 7/10 on spice level... I know spice is really subjective but this thing tasted more like a 1 or 2. I saw on the reciept the cashier got the order right... It also seemed wierd that I was asked if I wanted utensils... I would think for any to-go it'd be standard. I don't know if I would come back here... I saw another Thai/Lao or Filipino place down the street that I probably should have went to. That one was questionable because it looked like they had too much on their menu...

Since it was a late dinner for us I wanted to give this place a try. I placed and order over the phone and asked if they had any GF options since hubby has celiac. They ensured me that the pad Thai, and green curry were both GF. I also got a small cup of the Tom Yum soup. I was actually happy they had the small option because most places I've been to only have one size and it's always large and around $15 or more. My total was $37 for these 3 things which I felt was very fair for Summerville. Pad Thai - 4/5 this one was on the sweeter side with some nice acidity. The noodles were just slighter cooked too much for me as I prefer it a bit more al dente. But they did a good job caramelizing the noodles and the chicken was tender. I found the flavor to be pleasant especially for being gluten free. Green curry- 4/5 flavors were there but I just needed a bit more depth and texture. It felt lighter but not in a bad way, still enjoyed it and the veggies were cooked well. Tom Yum - 4/5 I do enjoy this soup with a bit more tanginess. It did have a lighter taste and didn't have that potent tum yum flavor I was looking for so I added a squeeze of lime to it. Still a beautiful soup and enjoyed that. The owner was very nice and told me everything is made fresh which I appreciated. It's a small place but very cute and quaint. Kind of took me back to the small shops and restaurants I've been to in Bangkok, it had a homey feeling. Saw a lot of other good options on the menu, will come back again!

The service was friendly and attentive and the prices are very reasonable. We started with Fresh Basil rolls and two slightly different yet excellent Spring Rolls and Peanut Sauce that we both loved. The rolls were done extremely tight with a beautiful whole basil leaf in each, (see picture). I ordered and really enjoyed the Pad Kee Mow. Be forewarned, there are 5 level of heat for this dish, Mild, Medium, Hot, Extra Hot and Thai Hot. I love hot spicy food, but based on a previous review stuck with the middle level heat of regular Hot, and this was boarder line too spicy for me. The wife ordered Drunken Noodles with Thai Spaghetti. She really loved the flavor of the broth, but thought the dish would be so much better with wide noodles and not Thai Spaghetti. She thought the thinness of the sauce needed a large noodle to soak of the broth. Either that or the sauce itself needed to be a bit thicker. Over all a very good meal that we look forward in sharing with the daughter on our next visit.
