This place is amazing. Kim and David are the best. They're very friendly and helpful. The food is some of the best. I have my favorites and you should try everything. Hahaha. I will be in the side singing to the Muzak playing since I usually know the words.

Kind, hard working staff but food was just okay. Was hard to find this restaurant since their sign was not lit up at night. It is on the corner next to Project Lean Nation. Once we got inside, the interior was cute; has a nice, family style feeling to it. There were only two workers running the full floor and they were definitely putting their steps in. Unfortunately the food was pretty so-so. The Pad Thai was very sweet and didn't have the most pleasant taste in my opinion. The green curry had a hard abrasive spice that overpowered any other flavor. I'm not sure if it's possible to get it in a lower spice level. Overall I was looking for more complex, balanced flavor profiles that you often find in great Thai cuisine.

I came across this place last minute and I was pleasantly surprised. They offered a small happy hour menu but I did not indulge in any alcohol that day lol! My server came over right away and I told her I was in a rush so she took my order quickly. Fresh spring rolls - 4/5 I did enjoy these, I may be critical but I just wish the sauce had more of a peanut flavor and not just hoisin. And the pieces of pork I got was very lean and a bit dry. But when I ate it with the sauce everything tasted good together. The pad Thai I got level 3 spice. I thought this spice was moderate and I actually added a bit more of their house chili flakes and sriracha for an extra kick but I think anyone who likes a bit of spice would enjoy that level. It was a massive portion and I thought the flavors were on point! I had mine with extra bean sprouts bc I love the crunchy texture, the eggs and beef were so good. I would've liked the noodles to be a touch more al dente but overall it was a solid pad Thai! I am looking forward to coming back!

Since it was close to the restaurant's closing, we chose to get takeout. While we didn't dine in, the customer service we experienced while ordering our food and waiting for it to be prepared was phenomenal. I ordered the chicken Vietnamese noodle salad. It is difficult to tell from my photo but the portion was large! I was so grateful because the food tasted amazing! If I'm ever in the area again I would order this again.

This place was pretty decent overall. I liked the noodle soup I got. The drunken noodles were okay and I don't think I'd get that again but definitely the soup. Really quick service too.

Pattaya thai is one of the best Thai restaurants in Charleston. Only a short drive from downtown and with plenty of parking and options it is very convenient for a casual last minute dinner or pick up. The portions are excellent and In always leave with leftovers , all for a competitive price . I love their big pot soups (tom kah with shrimp is a must, and their panang curry is also amazing) The service is always cordial and fast. cannot recommend enough.

Ordered delivery for one person, so didn't get to sample much from the menu. What I did have, however, was delicious. A veggie spring roll (which can be hit or miss at Thai restaurants), and a super fresh Pad Thai that was really flavorful. Can't speak to other dishes or a dine-in experience, but for delivery food that came hot and was really good, I give them a thumbs up!

As you walk in, you're greeted with a smile. The locally owned and family friendly restaurant has been around a long time. The decorations are nice. There are plenty of gluten free options on the menu. The food is very delicious. The menu has vegetarian options too. The staff is very accommodating for Gluten Intolerance and Celiac. The spring rolls are amazing! There's plenty of parking. Overall, it's a quiet atmosphere and there's a cool soundtrack. :)

I've tried every Thai restaurant in Charleston and the Tom Yum and Tom Ka soups at Pattaya Thai are the best I've had in the area. There are 2 sizes of soups you can order and I recommend the larger size because it's only like $5 more so it's better value, the larger size is good to share. These soups are packed with flavor, full of veggies and meat of choice (I prefer the shrimp or seafood). I've also tried the curries here and they are solid, good flavor and they can make it really spicy if you ask. Overall this is a great place to eat at or order take out from!

Ordered take out from here today. Delicious! It doesn't seem to be completely Thai, maybe a little Asian fusion. But it is delectable. The shrimp pad Thai had a delicious flavor with thinner noodles than typical pad thai. But the flavor was on pointe. The yum squid and shrimp salad was enormous and perfectly balanced with salt, sour, sweet and spice. The crab soup had a similar base to egg drop soup with crab mixed in, heavenly. My son ordered pad see ew - delicious slightly different noodles than typical pad see ew but same flavor profile. And the beef satay was tender and juicy. Loved everything.

It wasn't long before we proceeded. We ordered drinks that came fairly quickly as that our appetizers. We ordered the basil roll. As well as the nam sod pork, lettuce, wraps. We thought the rolls were tasty, especially the dipping sauce. The lettuce wraps I felt were too acidity and missing other flavors. For the main dish, my wife ordered shrimp pad Thai. I ordered the basil duck. I hadn't had this in a long time and I thought it was very good. We felt my wife's pad. Thai was too acidity. Didn't have enough peanuts and was missing other flavors. It could've used more fish or soy sauce. Our service was very good. They were very friendly and prompt. Overall, it was good, but not as good as the other establishments in Charlotte or when it was downtown. If the service and atmosphere wasn't so nice I would've given it. Three stars for the food.
