4 stars for a pretty darn good noodle dish, relative to the average Thai food truck in Eugene. This is a noodle dish I ordered like a year ago, but I still remember it being good because it had the wide fresh noodles, plenty of flavor, and a lot of basil in there. I notice that their menu is huge, with a ton of specials. Great for those who want variety every time they come. 5 stars for friendliness and fast service. The guy who works there is as nice as can be. 1 star for salad rolls. It says "fresh vegetables" but the roll had one miniscule piece of tofu (1/2 inch wide?) and the rest is pure lettuce. I think there were a couple mint leaves in there. No carrots, cuke, cilantro, or any other kind of vegetable you can imagine, and barely any tofu. Peanut sauce was delicious and worth adding to the order, as the chili sauce it comes with is ok but syrupy sweet. Adding in the peanut sauce for $2, that came to $10 for lettuce. Inflation is hitting us all hard... restaurants included. But tofu and carrots are not that expensive, right? And if they ran out of ingredients, they should just say so. Yelping about petty things is not a nice thing to do. This review reflects my frustration about a broader pattern that goes beyond this one restaurant (which is why I don't include this in the star rating). Eugene restaurants often do not try to keep up basic standards because there's insufficient competition, and they get away with things that wouldn't fly in a big city. Sooooooooo good!! We had a drink at the brewery next door and weren't sure if we were in the mood for Thai but so glad we gave this truck a try. First of all - everything came out piping hot. So fresh and satisfying. We got red curry and pad Thai. Both were absolutely delicious. We get Thai very regularly in the Bay Area and we weren't sure what to expect in Eugene. I tried this for the first time today. I got the Pad See Ew. It was awful. I tried doctoring small portions of it up with some sauces I had at home, but nothing worked. The chicken was dry and tasteless; there were only 4 small pieces of broccoli, the flavoring was terrible without even a hint of garlic. After a bunch of consistently great experiences at Thai Fusion, I'm compelled to leave them an enthusiastic review. Their food has always been delicious, interesting, and fairly priced. I highly suggest calling them first to find out the daily specials. The vast majority of the time, I end up ordering one of these. Over Thanksgiving, they had a roasted chicken special that was a fun take on a holiday meal. More recently, they had avocado green curry and ginger stir fry specials and they were both great. This is my second time coming to this cart. The first time was fine, I got the pad kee mao and my partner got curry. This time I got the coconut shrimp which were absolutely delicious (5 star) but what I'm here about are the fresh salad rolls (1 star). From the menu: soft rice paper rolls filled w/ fresh vegetables & served w/ sweet chili sauce & ground peanuts. Tofu 7. These rolls had a measly stick of tofu in the middle and ONLY LETTUCE! What the heck!? When I read "fresh vegetables" I expect more than lettuce, especially for $7. I know they've got other veggies in that cart! Where are the carrots? Bell pepper? Cucumber? Literally ANYTHING else!? Steer straight away from this menu item my friends, it's entirely disappointing. It's our new go too for Thai! Fresh ingredients, lots of flavor, nice sized portions and affordable. Customer service is always spot on. Tried calling the other night and the phone just rang, I hung up and thought I'd try again in a few minutes. We discovered Thai Fusion when we discovered Drop Bear Brewing, what a great collaboration. The food truck is just steps away from the brewery and right now it even has a covered area around the ordering window with a couple seats. Very nice in the Oregon weather where things can change by the minute. We ordered our usual - pad kee mao with chicken medium spice level (3 on their scale) and pad se ew with chicken, mild spice. And of course, traditional thai iced tea. They gave us a buzzer so we could go sit at the brewery and not worry about anyone calling our names and not hearing them. The dishes came out in compostable bowls which I LOVED. I'm sure they cost extra for this business but is such a great idea, especially given how many people still think it is ok to litter. They even had matching composting lids for the bowls when we couldn't finish. The serving sizes were decent and I felt the size and quality of the food was reflected in the prices. I enjoyed my food greatly, just the right amount of spice and good veggies, cuts of chicken and noodles. Definitely will return. I felt the menu was good and not over or under-whelming with the number of options to choose from. The iced tea was delicious and went with my food well. I wish I could give this truck 6 stars! The food is so fresh, delicious and the owner is one of the nicest people you'll meet. This truck sits next to a brewery on Willamette street. We had the salad rolls with tofu, coconut shrimp, pad se ew with chicken and chicken fried rice. Everything was cooked to perfection and the slice level was perfect for us. I like just a hint of spice and the mild spice level was exactly that. We also liked the Thai iced tea because it wasn't too sweet. We can't wait to come back and order some curry! The guys who run this new food truck on Willamette are the nicest, most welcoming bunch. They are hard-working and their food is delicious. Our favorites are the spicy basil fried rice (pad kra pao) and mixed vegetables with chicken or tofu. They really do a wonderful job with the spices and everyone we've brought here loves the food. A friend loves the Panang curry. I also tried their tonkatsu, but it came without rice (just breaded pork slices in a box), so you'll have to order something else to accompany it. We had 1) Chicken Penang Curry with rice and 2) Pad Kee Mao, both with extra vegetables and medium spice. Food was delicious and plentiful. Went here around 1:30 pm on a Saturday. It wasn't crowded and very clean and well kept. The man who cooked our food was very kind, welcoming and patient. I ordered the yellow curry with beef and my boyfriend ordered pumpkin curry with shrimp. Both were absolutely delicious and I ate every single bite with joy. I don't have a picture of the meal before I ate it but I will include a photo of the aftermath. We both devoured our meals even though we were full mid way.
