I picked this massage spot based off their 5 star rating. My mom went in on Mother's Day. I pre payed for the massage plus tip over the phone. She arrived and the ladies had no knowledge of her appointment. It took 10-15mins for them figure out she had an appointment. I had to start going off and telling them to refund my $150 if they could not find the owner of the phone who took my information over the phone. We used to refer all of our friends here, but our last two massages were so bad we will no longer refer people here. My massage therapist left the room 3 or 4 times during the course of my massage. My husbands massage therapist, on a different occasion, was using her phone to watch a movie during the massage (which he didn't notice until the end). He said she wasn't paying any attention and use for tools, like rollers, haphazardly instead of her hands Intentionally so he ended the massage early! Massage: Jackie is 100% professional and absolutely understood what I was needing and was really great and performing the Thai traditional massage. She is very strong! Really old home converted into a place of business. I feel like the Roxie point should be 60.00 but I get it their rent probably isn't the cheapest so is I'll gladly pay 80.00 again. As in she wasn't kneading the muscles so to say. Instead all she did was apply a lot pressure to the point of painful/uncomfortable and that's about it... I've been working out a lot lately, around five times a week, and I feel great physically. But it also means that I'm sorer these days than I'm used to. After a stressful week, I was looking for a highly-rated massage center close to where I had dinner and stumbled upon Thai Healing Massage Center. Thai Healing is located in a residential neighborhood, the center is actually a renovated home, and they have a small parking lot. A couple of spots in the front and more in the back. Once I walked in, I was promptly brought to my room. The room was clean, smelled good, had some nice decor, and some relaxing music playing. I went with a 45-min massage. While they do have different types of massages available, my massage was a mix of Swedish, Thai, hot stone, and reflexology. I like that they offer massages in 15-minute increments so you can choose the right one based on how much time you have available or how much money you'd like to spend. My masseuse was really good. I don't get massages often but she's definitely in the top three I've ever had. My only complaint is that I wish she would have asked me if there were any areas I didn't want massaged. I don't like scalp massages because you come out looking like a hot mess so I would've told her to skip out on that portion. But, overall, great massage and friendly staff. Added bonus: $5 off any massage service Yelp check-in offer (the receptionist said it was only valid for hour massages even though this isn't what it says on the check-in offer.
