I have been looking to try and find a massage place that would be closer to my area and more easily accessible. So I wanted to give this place a try. The reviews were all VERY positive and 5 stars, so my expectations were high. I booked via Classpass for 60 min swedish massage. The place is located in a commercial shopping strip on the corner, near like a beauty supply store etc. There is plenty of parking out front. There is construction going on around it, but not bad enough to obstruct the business. Once I arrived inside. The kind lady at check-in ushered me into the room. I saw clipboards on the desk, and as we were walking, I asked, "Shouldn't I complete the forms (since I was technically a new customer)?" She said there was no need. That was strange. Didn't they want to know my info? Once inside and the services started, the therapist, I will say, did use sweedish techniques and also full body stretching. There were moments of relaxation. But overall, it was just ok. Sometimes, even a little rough, which I verbalized to her. She never really answered me back when I would say things, but she did try and adjust the pressure. Im going to presume she did her best? The lights were on during the part where I was lying on my front, which was interesting. But once I was on my back, she dimmed the lights. The bonus - She did do hot stone on my back, which I was surprised about. Because this is normally a separate charge for most places, as it's an add-on service. But they didn't charge me more for it. Maybe they include it with the swedish massage? Either way, I appreciated that. At the end, I asked for the therapist name as she was walking out, and she said Angela. I bet a lot of people probably really enjoy Angela. She did exactly 55 min hands-on. But it just was not a worthwhile experience to come again. The nice lady at the desk that had checked me in, of course, asked how my massage was. I tried to explain, but I'm not sure she understood what I shared. I likely wouldn't visit again, but I am so glad others have come here and enjoyed their experiences, hence their 5 star rating. read more

If I could give this place 10 stars I would. My sister and I have Had over 100 Massages each. Everywhere from small towns to The Four Seasons in Bora Bora, and I have never experienced a greater massage than I have today. I can't remember the last time my back cracked so deeply and at one point I felt like grainy mustard being smothered onto a fresh hot piece of bread just dissolving into it. At one point I swear I was floating. I forgot I had a back at one point. I honestly think that when I die, this will flashback as the happiest memory of my life. I think I can no longer experience anger. The masseuse was amazing and I'd give her my left kidney if she asked for it. Things cracked in my body that I didn't even know existed. A hidden gem!!!! I have been to A Plus Massage twice since I loved to Houston 6 months ago and both visits were wonderful. Located on S. Main near NRG stadium, I will say that it's definitely not going to wow you from the outside appearance. It's in a small shopping area that is a bit rundown and not in the nicest of areas. However as soon as you step inside the business, the atmosphere changes. You are greeted by friendly front desk staff that will check you in and get you ready for your appointment. The decor inside is minimal and clean. The massage rooms are also minimally decorated. Rooms and restrooms are both very clean. The actual massage service is where the magic happens. The massage therapists are very professional and do an excellent job. They check to make sure that you are comfortable, that the massage pressure is ok, that the stones are not too hot, etc. Most recently, I had a Swedish massage that was heavenly. The massage therapist worked from head to toe using my choice of scented aromatherapy oil. It was an excellent massage. It was not rushed, I felt very relaxed and at ease throughout the service. They offer a variety of massage options. This place is definitely worth a visit. read more

We live nearby but don't take sufficient advantage of this place. Husband and I were both in need of some relief today and were able to book a same-day appointment this evening. I had a massage by "Hanna", who was great. She applied the perfect amount of pressure and focused on the tightest areas. Both therapists regularly checked in with how we were doing and his went to get some pain-relief cream when she could tell he needed it. Highly recommend this place. High-quality massage at a very reasonable price. The only minor glitch was some confusion as we left over whether or not I had prepaid (I had). Been here a couple times with Classpass (about $60ish vs $80 for a 60-min deep tissue massage). I was greeted warmly each time and the 2nd time, they asked if I spoke Mandarin. Mine is limited, but I found that the masseuse preferred to communicate in Mandarin. They are very professional, and they will adjust pressure per your request. When we called to make our appointment, they were super helpful and quick to book our appointment for the same weekend. They ask you come 5 minutes before your appointment time to fill out a form with your massage type preferences, and even text a reminder. Now the massage itself was AMAZING! My fiancé and I chose the eucalyptus smell and from the start to the end, we loved and enjoyed everything. It was our first time trying a hot stones experience with essential oil.
