I love Drunken Noodles and moved here from an area that had great Thai food. I ordered them here with medium spice. The food was very fresh and tasted good, but wasn't spicy at all and I've definitely had better in terms of taste and portion size for the price. I've only ever gotten takeout from Thai House, but it never disappoints. My go-to order is pad see ew, which has a dark, sweetened soy sauce based sauce amongst the veggies and noodles. Today was my first time getting the Massaman curry with chicken, which was an unexpected delight that was a bit heavier on the warmer Indian spices than I had with other restaurants' Massaman curry. Definitely recommend! I ordered a level 3 star heat, which to me was not spicy at all. The Thai iced tea here is also great. I would like to say the food depends on what you get. Minimal dishes are not very flavorful and others are full of flavor. This place also has boba which is rare for the areas surrounding. Boba is delicious! The service is absolutely amazing. The workers are kind, attentive, and let you order anything you want. They are consistently kind on every occasion. Customer service makes the experience more enjoyable. The ambiance is very simple but cozy. It was raining when I went and it was very nice! Ordered the drunkin noodles. They were near flavorless in comparison to other places I've gotten them from. Far too pricy for the quality. Portion size was typical. I would probably look elsewhere. So the four of us sat down for lunch Sunday, we ordered Pra Ram, Pad Thai, Kee Maw, and Seafood Drunken Rice. For clarification, all four of us have eaten at several different Thai restaurants across the United States...but we all agreed that these dishes were some of the best examples we have eaten. A small corner restaurant tucked away in the Gateway shopping center of Edwardsville. At first I didn't expect much, but as soon as you were greeted you already knew this was the place. The owner and her wife both are amazing at what they do. Food is excellent. Flavorful. Presentation is great. Papaya salad wasn't as fishy as I usually like it, but it had a light fresh taste of lime and the papaya was crisp. Thai tea was one of the best I've had. I am not sure what is going on with this Thai restaurant or this particular shopping center or if they have an issue with the black community but I was so excited to see a Thai bubble shop and entered with so much enthusiasm. The lady seen me entered and didn't say anything... I said "hello" she said " how can I help you" with an attitude as if I was bothering her. She gave me a look and I said can I order in here, she stated mm hmm. And then walked up to the register as if I was taking up her time. Like are you kidding me, what happened to customer service. We all have suffered these past few years; businesses are trying to strive, people are trying to make it with the inflated prices! Why are you giving me attitude or make it seem as if I am inconveniencing you by wanting to spend money at your establishment. She then proceeds to walk over to the register, I asked, having a good day? And she just says something under her breathe and is like what do you want. I immediately just ranted as I walked away, "I can't. I don't know what is going on but I cannot deal with rudeness today" This literally makes no sense!! Why treat a customer like that?! I ordered food for delivery and after an hour and 15 minutes, I called to find out where it was. The girl was not apologetic at all and kept telling me that the food would be delivered soon, about 5 to 10 minutes. When the clock hit 2 hours after I placed the order, I called to cancel. Not only did the girl not even apologize once for the delay, she had the audacity to catch an attitude when I said I just wanted to cancel because we were going to get food somewhere else. Rather than saying sorry and would refund the money, she kept saying that it will be there soon. I finally had had enough with the lack of customer service as well as the attitude, and just cut her off and told her to refund my money now. She simply said fine and hung up. What an unfortunate excuse of service. All she had to do was apologize. I do my best to order local, especially during these difficult times, but her attitude just turned me off completely. I feel bad for the people who own the place because I will never order food from here again and will let everyone I know of my experience. read more

I accidentally placed an online delivery service order at this place when I searched for Thai Thai. I must not have realized it popped up with this place, and we were seriously disappointed at the quality of the pad Thai and drunken noodle and veg tempura. After years and years of always being consistently amazing (Thai Thai), we thought we had a truly disappointing experience and worried they started going downhill. It wasn't until a couple weeks later (the time of writing this review) that I realized it was this place we ordered from, not Thai Thai. We ordered food from here. As we were driving back home we got a call from the restaraunt that they gave us the wrong bag. We had alredyed opened the wrong bag,opened up the food and smelled it. We handled it, and I think we were coughing in the car. When we went back to get the right bag THEY STILL WANTED TO BAG BACK!!!! I really hope they made those people a new order. Probably not as they asked for it back! I will not eat here again during a pandemic or maybe ever again. I wonder if they had ever gave my bag to someone else and they went back to drop it off after it was all tampered with. Makes you wonder. read more
