We have lived in Logan for a couple years now, and we came from Phx, Az so we are used to big city quality and flavor. The first time we went to Thai house two years ago, it was good but we didn't think it was anything to brag about. But since we've been eating there this year it's been incredible. Very thing has so much flavor, is so fresh and just plain tasty. It is a thai restaurant so if you're not into hot and spicy food as for mild with a little spice in the side. Then you still get the flavors melded with a little heat and then ability to spice it up to your liking. Very very good! Don't know if the food is good or not. Service was awful. Nobody even came to take our order. People who came in after us had theirs taken. Eye contact was made multiple times with the server who brought us water and he would just walk on by and chat it up with the other waitress. I have a threshold when it come to service and I've gotten to the point where I am very selective with who I give my money to. Disappointed. Excellent Thai food! Highly recommended. My favorite dish on the menu is the Pad Kra Pow - Thai basil - so good and full of Thai flavor. Some other favorites are the cashew chicken, pad Thai, chicken sa-tay, and the Thai fried rice. The curries are also awesome and taste best with chicken. The lunch special includes soup, steamed rice, and a main dish for $6.95. The service has improved immensely since they have opened. My favorite waiter is "Big". *** Update*** Tonight we dined in and it was delicious and service was superb!!! We had wontons, chicken satay, pad see ew, pad thai, and Tom Kha...all was soooo good! Super pleased. Maybe dining in is just a way better option than take out. I have done take out from here 3 times and it has always just been ok...but dining in tonight was fantastic!*** My first visit to this newly opened restaurant gets a 3. I will try it again and hope to add more stars. I ordered take out because the restaurant was packed. The servers and hostess were running around frantic and crazy. Make sure to check your take out because they left a couple of my dishes in the kitchen. We got chicken satay....I looove cucumber relish and theirs is perfect. Peanut sauce was ok. The chicken was ok...I have had better, higher quality chicken elsewhere to which I always compare... This didn't...but was still good enough. Next we got a bowl of Tom Kha soup. It was delicious! The broth was perfect. However, the chicken in the soup was not tastey. Not seasoned... Kinda rubbery. Eew :( Next time I will just leave the chicken out...it is the flavorful broth I want anyway. Next was Panang Curry. I was pretty disappointed with it. Even though it was spicy it lacked flavor. Curries should explode with flavor and you should exclaim with each bite...not with this. Sigh. I was so hopeful. We also got the BBQ chicken for my unadventurous kidlets. It was fantastic! It was seasoned so well and just yummy. If you have diners with you who are not Thai fans...they should be pretty happy with this huge portion of chicken. Had a friend take me and my plus one for dinner because it was his favorite place. Got there and we were all very excited to try something new, but we went to order and the lady helping us had attitude towards us. We ordered and as we were waiting for our food we noticed that some of the workers we pointing at our table whispering, and laughing. Not sure what it was but they wouldn't stop the whole time we were there. It is a little house on a side street in Logan. You might miss it if you were driving to fast, but the food is some of the best Thai that I have had anywhere. I am giving a one star simply because giving zero or negative isn't an option. We called in for a take out, when the woman taking the order asks me "what spicy level would you like?" I asked "how do you count your spicy level?" She responded with "1-5". So, here was my order: satay with spicy level 2; pad kar pow with pork spicy level 2; and pad kee mao (drunken noodle) with chicken spicy level 4. It's pretty simple, 3 items about $26, right? Only if life can be this simple. We ended up with 8 items and over $70!! Given their English skill sounded pretty limited. This wasn't the worst part. We took everything thinking we can have it for more than 1 meal. When one box of the noodle contain a piece of plastic strip. Picture will be uploaded. Yellow curry tasted great but the meat was extremely chewy and all the pieces were too large to eat in one bite. Could have used a knife! Potatoes were hard. Carrots were raw. Took the whole dish home to cook longer. Bet it will be tasty tomorrow. Heat was four on the 1-5 scale. Perfect. Soup was Tom Kha. Also a four on the heat index. Perfect. Veggies were all practically raw but the soup was incredible. Didn't try the other two dishes. Both were entrees with tofu. They went fast with those who ordered them. Must have been tasty. This used to be an incredible location. I was out of the area for the spring and returned. After ordering take out for the first time in 4 months, I was pretty surprised about how low the quality became. I noticed that they hired new members, maybe the kitchen staff was changed as well. The food did not have the same flavor. I ordered the yellow curry. The potatoes were not fully cooked. And the pad see ew wasn't tossed in a wok/pan. We went there last week and I ordered Curry with Squid. It came our 10 min later smelling so bad that my husband who lost his ability to smell in Afghanistan could smell it. I told the waiter to please smell it, he told me it smelled fine. I have worked at a seafood place for a long time and know when something does not smell right. Even the table next to us said it smelled horrible. They took the dish back not asking what I wanted done and decided to make the same dish. First, the disclaimer: I gave 5 stars because I'm ecstatic about having a local Thai Food Restaurant in Logan again. That alone is worth 5 stars to me. Pros: The quality of food is better than I remember Kamin Thai Cuisine was in the same building by a small margin. The place has been refurnished, with the booths being much more convenient than the previous tables. The prices are good (assuming you aren't like me who needs 2 entrees and an appetizer). Cons: The service still feels a bit awkward like they haven't found their groove yet. Very polite, but a little inconsistent. For example, we weren't offered drinks other than water before our order was taken which was the weirdest thing I noticed about it. Overall, it was a very positive experience. I am extremely glad to have my favorite foreign food back in town and to have it improve was something that I never expected to see in Logan UT for at least the next 10 years. Newly opened, and they are still sorting out some service kinks. But the food here is tasty, portions are large and a good value, and their menu includes some interesting entrees you don't find elsewhere. They serve the tastiest and most authentic Pad Kee Mao (drunken noodles) I've had to date..sweet but not overly so, a little chili heat (I asked for a level "3"), with proper broad noodles and a hint of fresh basil. 'Mussaman' curry here has issues..first it's candy sweet and very thin like soup, westernized to the extreme. It isn't bad, but the one-dimensional sweetness overpowers any peanutiness and other flavors the dish has. And as I mentioned, it's very soupy here, skimps on meat, potatoes and other veggies..and I do not like that they only serve it with mushy chunks of stewed beef here..big mistake. I prefer this dish as most do, with chicken. Pad Thai and Sweet and Sour chicken are also pretty good here, especially the latter. Pad Thai at dinner looks nothing like their menu photo..it's okay on taste, but skimpy on the bean sprouts, and I didn't care for the cheap pile of shredded cabbage and carrot shavings on the side. Be sure to ask for lime, otherwise they don't include it. Dining areas have a comfortable, warm feel. Waits on the weekend are already long, so it's nice they take reservations. Service will come around with time I hope. Two of our table's dishes were completely forgotten about. And I wish they'd do better at serving a table all at once rather than one by one with long waits in between. Overall, expect a nice meal here. I'm a Thai food snob but I was really impressed with what we got for the most part. My husband and I split the house special curry (which was to die for, highly recommend) and the Tom Kha. I usually love Tom Kha but this one has a weird taste to me. It tasted like boiled chicken which I'm super sensitive to for some reason but my husband didn't have any complaints. Weird set up I know going to a house for a restaurant but hear me out. I have only done take out here but they have a sister location back in Idaho Falls called Thai Kitchen and that place was good until a new Thai place opened up in town and I stopped going there. This place has some of the best drunken noodles the Gulf of Siam is on point. It's Asian food and they can do hot sadly I'm too much of a coward and don't enjoy hotness but if you do these guys can for sure do it. Now it's like the only Thai place in Logan so really no competition and most other Asian places here don't really do wow Chinese food so it's good for little Logan and other places but is there better out there? Despite some problems with communication with my first time there, the food has been exceptional and the service has only gotten better over time. My two sons and I ate here 1 September 2018. We had Thai pho with shrimp, masaman beef Curry and beef salad. The restaurant is in an old home which is nicely remodeled and has a beautiful patio overlooking a gorgeous and peaceful yard. The food is decent for Logan, Utah. I'm just glad there is a place open that serves Thai Food. The service is slow but they are working on it. It is a new place, so I suggest being patient. Food is not number one but the next closest Thai Restaurant is in Ogden. Plus I've gone back several times and each time it gets better. The servers are really nice and they try their best. I plan on returning again in the near future. We ordered the House Curry, Eggplant with Tofu, Pad Thai, and Fried Rice. All the dishes were delicious. It seems to be more a matter of being short staffed than anything else. The restaurant did not appear overly crowded, maybe at 40-50 percent capacity, but the wait for our meal was awkwardly long. (incidentally, if Thai House had a liquor license, this wait would be more bearable and the establishment would increase its revenue per table and could probably hire more staff). My husband and I decided to try this restaurant after reading some reviews. I ordered the broccoli and beef and my husband ordered a chicken dish. The meat in both dishes was tough and neither dish had a good flavor. The raspberry tea was good. The owner and waitress were seated a few booths away and talked the entire time we were there. They really need a place for employees away from the customers. They do not inform customers that using a credit card will result in a fee added to your bill. read more
