This is noting about the food but when we arrived, we were greeted by the manager even though the restaurant was clearly still open, with the sign on and several tables still eating. When we asked to be seated, the manager told us the kitchen was closed and refused to serve us. When we tried to ask a few follow-up questions, it turned into a brief altercation, as the manager responded in a rude and dismissive way. We then asked if they would be asking the current guests to leave at 9:30, and he said yes before telling us we needed to leave. Having worked in the restaurant industry myself, along with family members who have decades of experience, I found this situation unprofessional and not in line with normal service standards. read more

Well I couldn't decide between 1 star and 5 so I went with 3. I ordered the lamb tikka masala which was absolutely delicious, however I did shit myself mid meal. If you have a sensitive stomach at all get this to go and eat it at home, probably on the toilet and definitely don't miss judge a fart. read more

No need for me to write much about this restaurant, well because I had the same experience as the last 2 years. Still excellent! What was new this time around is that the dinosaur is gone. Yeahhhh it was sad to see Sinclair the dinosaur no longer in the parking lot. But, it's for a good reason. The restaurant owner, who I spoke with on my visit, decided to close down the gas station. They have decided to make this corner lot a much needed parking lot for the patrons who come to deep dive into every dish on the menu, leaving with a tremendous dose of satisfaction. So, ya'll already know what I'm going to say. You need to go visit and I hope to be back in 2025. P.S. - My picture is still being highlighted from my experience last year. What an honor! read more

I love the chicken tikka masala and garlic naan. I get this every time and never regret it. My chicken was tender and the sauce was so good. The garlic naan was cooked perfectly. I also tried the mango chicken. I was surprised how it had a great mango flavor but it did seem to be more tomato based than I had expected. Just something to be aware of if you order it. read more

We ordered takeout and drove up from Ogden to try this place. I don't think it was worth it. I tried the lamb saag, one of my favorite dishes and it was good, but not amazing. It had little meat and was just a little blander than what I'm used to. The naan was not very good... we tried two different kinds and they were just okay, rather thick but little flavor, even on the garlic naan. The samosas were good though! Nice and crispy and I enjoyed the filling. The chutney to go with it was pretty good too. read more

I would like to give Tandoori Oven a higher review based on generally delicious, well-spiced curry sauces and large, fresh, fluffy naan bread. But for the cost we had more of a Kitchen Nightmares than DDD experience: They served us a small appetizer "platter" ($10 for 7 assorted mostly-smallish items) with a large black hair fried/stuck into the top of one of them. My wife pointed this out and the waitress said, "Sorry! I will have them bring a new plate for you." A few minutes later a kitchen staff member brought us THE SAME PLATE BACK AGAIN! (It was obvious because my son had taken one of the fried paneer off the platter before my wife noticed the hair, and the plate came back with the same paneer missing.) Kitchen Nightmares-level yuck! The pineapple lemonade drink ($3.60) was very watery tasting but the mango lemonade with which they replaced it was better. Sadly they also cut the basmati rice with a cheaper rice so the texture is a little gummier and flavor not its savory best. Gummy texture (and under-seasoned flavor) repeated in my Malai Kofta dumplings. Just like falafel, you can tell a lot about an Indian restaurant if they can make these potato-and-cheese kofta dumplings light and fluffy in the sauce instead of heavy and dense. I got the latter. Fortunately the Malai cashew cream sauce was spiced well and delicious. And my wife's Chicken Coconut Korma and son's Mango Chicken Curry with both tender chicken and chunky, well-spiced curries. I wish I could rave based merely on the sauces but sadly they were all served with cold metal plates on which to eat them. For $80 with tip for three diners, too many details and appetizer service were poorly minded--on top of a bad parking location. I've had far better Indian food elsewhere, Guy Fieri's DDD endorsement poster in the lobby notwithstanding. 2.5 Stars. read more

This is the most amazing restaurant. My fiancé and I come here at least once a month. We have never had to wait to be seated no matter how big our group is. The food comes out fast, fresh, and hot. The servers are always on top of checking on us and we always have enough to take home as extra. We have even had the owner come by and check on us before. They even have surveys to ask how they can improve. They really care about their customers. Highly recommend! read more

There was something charming about the old, hole-in-the-wall, dimly lit, Indian restaurant adjacent to the Sinclair Gas Station... it's been a few years since the remodel, and it feels like it's due for another upgrade. The decor and vibrance of other local Indian options makes the blandness, and squeaky, cramped dining booths of Tabdoori, feel subpar. You can feel the people behind you from the other booth as they lean back... comparable to sitting economy on a flight. That said, the service is excellent, and the Spice level is no joke! read more

I am not a big fan of Indian food -- well, I wasn't until I ate here. It was so very delicious. This place has an extensive menu with descriptions of each dish, so there's no guessing. I had the butter chicken with garlic naan. The naan was so perfect, soft and slightly chewy. The chicken dish was so good, I ate more than I should have, but still had enough to take home for another small meal. My guess is that people go here for the food, not the atmosphere. The seats on one side of my booth had cracks, and there was not much in the way of decoration. The restaurant is connected to the gas station with a door and the whole facility is family owned, so the son was working the restaurant portion while mom was running the gas station. My husband went before I did and said it was great, so I needed to try it. They finally got me to go and I was not disappointed. The food was great. Between the 3 of us, we have tried a little bit of everything. Nothing was too bland or too spicy. It was all just right. It is kind of a strange experience because it is also a gas station and convenience store. But once you are inside, you forget about that and feel like you are in a nice restaurant. read more

Come for DDD's chicken Tika Masala and Lamb Samosas; stay for the Chicken Biryani (thigh meat). Honestly, it's the best Briyani we have had. The samosas were very good (we will order again), but the Chicken Tika was average (we will try something else). The Mango Lassi was also very tasty! Food- amazing! Especially the chicken tiki masala. Loved the coconut kurma, rice & naan bread! Service- staff was welcoming, friendly, & did a great job! Ambiance- cute restaurant once you get inside & seemed clean! Downside- the fragrance from the restroom was SO strong that I had to hold my breath to wash my hands & it gave us a headache. Make sure to ask to be seated far away from the restroom if you can. The incense- while I respect that part of culture & we actually enjoy the scent normally- it was just too strong while eating. So that's the main critique I have. The menu is worded in a way that's more accessible than any other Indian restaurant I've been to for people unfamiliar with the names of dishes, so that's a nice bonus although I've learned the terms over years of loving Indian food! Spinach soup instead of Saag Shorba. Most names used were easily understood & love the option to choose your level of spice/heat. We actually managed to find parking easily since we went shortly after opening (11 am) & got in right away. Loved the staff & food- just the fragrances were too much for us. I think I waited like 10mins for my food which was great. I tried the Mango Chicken Curry at spice level 5 and it was fantastic. Hers came out long before mine, and she wouldn't eat until I got my food. So I hope she liked it cold. The overall look of this place is nice. Fantastic curry, great naan, and to-die-for lassi. Tandoori Oven is located side by side with a gas station. Please don't let that be a stopping point. This is the best curry I've ever had! I love lamb and get it whenever I can, as it's not commonly found in US restaurants. Their lamb is amazing! It's never over-cooked and tough. And honestly, I've yet to have a bad dish. Tikka Masala, Rogan Josh, Saag, Vindaloo, it doesn't matter. They are all great. If you're not a lamb fan, my wife and friends all love the chicken versions. You can order each dish mild, medium, or hot. I get the medium. I love and can handle most Latin heat, but Southeast Asian (including Indian) heat licks my butt. The medium starts off great and has me tingling by the end. It's a perfect balance. Garlic naan is always a must, but I highly, HIGHLY recommend getting a lassi as well! They make it in house and even sell it by the gallon. I prefer the mango, but my wife and kids prefer the strawberry. read more

Yup, that's right. But before you sneer away and go elsewhere, hear me out. The food is dang good. The service is top notch and the ambiance is charming. We visited during the peak of the dinner rush on a Saturday night. Waited about 20 minutes and then ushered to a table where we were eagerly served and attended to. They have a limited (but existent!) alcohol list and a menu of options to satisfy a wide variety of diners. Prices were standard for the area. My o my complaint would be the congested parking, as they share that with the gas station. But in the evening, you can park at the credit union across the street. Order the naan. I havent been here for a while and I was happy to be back! The bummer is the parking! Its so bad. It is close to the university and shares a parking lot with the gas station, so it isnt big to begin with, and then it gets full quickly...so keep that in mind.
