Overall a very good Thai place and one of the best restaurants I've found in Lexington Park. I had the chicken pad thai (my go to for comparing Thai places). I asked for it extremely spicy. Their heat scale is out of 3. I asked for a 10 (specifically stating Thai hot). Of course they served it not nearly as spicy as I like, but it was still really good food. I'm really not understanding the ratings on this place. I give two stars because the waitress was very nice and the restaurant is clean. I've dined at Thai inter four times because I love Thai food. Phad thi noodles and pineapple fried rice is my fav! I've ordered these twice here and was very disappointed for the life of me I don't understand why they over cook their noodles. The rice taste so bland you can barely eat it. I don't remember what other dishes I tried so that tells you something. The last visit here the waitress brought my food out and there was an overwhelming bad smell I didn't even touch it nor did I send it back because I didn't want to be rude. Literally left the whole plate there and got full off of Thai tee and spring rolls. If you've never had fresh Thai food with and assortment of herbs and flavoring than give this place a try but if like me and you've had really good Thai food then don't waste your time..and I really wanted to love it read more

Good Thai food with friendly service. Their spring rolls and papaya salad are great starters. We really enjoy their noodle soup lunch specials or the roasted duck noodle soup as an entree. The pad Thai and drunken noodles are also very good. Make sure you ask for the condiment tray so you can spice it up the way you like it. Coconut mango curry was delicious. It wasn't served with enough rice, though. The fried calamari was standard but the dipping sauce was really tasty. My friend had the tom kha gai and it was very Americanized and not spicy enough. He also had the wild curry which was very good. He also reccomend the Thai ice coffee. One of my staple go to places when we don't feel like cooking at home. This is a great break from all the chains in Lexington park. And they deliver! The language barrier can be a little tough when ordering over the phone but its worth the struggle. The drunken noodle and green curry (pretty spicey!) are my favorites. The food is respectable and some dishes very authentic, but the spices always seem like they are missing something. The Tom Yum and the Tom Ka soups, while not bad, do not taste like any I have had. The Satay is the same it is good, but missing a little something to make it great. Most of the noodle dishes are good, but the one time I ordered fried rice the rice was gelatinous. The service is pretty hit and miss in my opinion. My last trip I was never asked if I would like another drink or brought any water. After a long drive home, I decided I didn't feel like cooking. My toddler and I are spending the week/weekend alone and I figured we could stay in and order delivery. Tired of pizza and junk food delivery I called Thai Inter to place an order for something different. After minutes of struggling to place my order, The woman informs me they only deliver a minimum purchase of $25.00. Well, it is myself and a two year old. My order was $ 20.00 total and I feel like it was poor customer service to not accommodate. Rather, she tried to convince me to order more food, or to come in for pick up. What they fail to realize us if they had delivered my order, I'd have gladly compensated generously for the customer service. Now, I doubt I'll ever patron this establishment again. To be completely fair maybe I just don't like Thai food. The last time my wife and I ate here we put it on our black list. My wife loves pad Thai but when the sever brought out her meal it smelled terrible. Her food smell kind of ruined the meal. Either way she couldn't eat it. There was something weird going on. To replace her meal she got the vegetable dumplings. Neither of us liked them. We could barely eat them. The service is nice, but I guess I just don't like Thai food because I'm usually not that happy with my food. I would go because my wife likes it, but not so much anymore. Went here 2 years ago for the 1st time. I ordered pad Thai (my usual). There was a long black hair in my food. I complained. Sent the food back and asked for the check to leave (grossed out). Over 1/2 of the plate was sent back. I was charged full price for the meal. I just kind of looked at the server. Paid then left. Never again! read more

Accidentally stopped in here for lunch while traveling for work one day. To be honest, I was looking for the Asian Fusion place around the corner and mistook Thai Inter for the other. But, I was seated right away and order Chicken Pad Thai. It came out super fast. Not great looking, to be honest, grayish noodles, some chicken and not enough broccoli. But it tasted pretty good so I can't complain too much. Plus, it was really inexpensive for a big plate of food. Other than bringing me my food, there wasn't much in the way of service. I really wanted to like this place because Southern Maryland needs more Thai restaurants but this place was such a miss. I ordered the roasted duck curry and I had to hold back my tears when I saw the "duck" that was in it. I could barely get any meat off of the skimpy portions and the curry itself had an odd sour aftertaste. I'm also a sucker for a good pad thai but theirs was pure mush. They completely overcooked the noodles to babyfood consistency and I opted not to take a second bite. I will also shamelessly admit I stop in just for an order or two of their Thai tea. SO GOOD. I have only been to Thai Inter for lunch, and I usually order the same thing but why fix something that isn't broke? It is delicious! I usually order the snow peas and shrimp off the lunch menu and it is so yummy. I want to just lick the plate, if that was socially acceptable behavior. I had a great meal at Thai Inter - I got the Crispy Duck, medium hot, and it was delicious! The flavors were so good I ate it all! We also got a couple of appetizers; Nua Dat Diew and Grilled marinated beef slices which were both delicious. I had 2 Thai tea because it was so good. Moved to southern Maryland from San Diego recently and have been trying out the different restaurants in the area. The restaurant selection out here is pretty limited and most of the restaurants have been disappointing and subpar (that's saying a lot since I'm pretty "easy going" when it comes to my food standards). Thai Inter is one of the three places out here that I cycle through when I'm too lazy to cook. The service is decent, the food is good, reasonably priced, and comes out in a timely manner. I was finally able to try this place for dinner. The food was excellent! I had the Wild Curry. The menu said it was spicy so I immediately went for it. I was pleasantly surprised that it was spicy - spicy enough that I got the sweating forehead and runny nose confirmation. Loved it! I would have given them 5 stars, but the service was SLOW. The food came out timely enough, but waiting to order dessert and getting the check took longer than it should have taken. It was around dinner time and could have been an anomaly.
