Shrimp and 1. Snow Crab & Headless Shrimp Combo
    Alicia W.

Small spot located in San Souci. There's only a few tables, so it may be best for takeout. When we arrived they told us a table was reserved so it seems you can call to reserve a table. They do not take online reservations. It doesn't look like much, but the food is excellent and the portions are very large. I ordered a snow crab and shrimp combo, combined all three seasonings and opted for medium seasoning but could've gone for the hot. I wasn't sure how spicy the seasoning would be which is why I opted for medium. We also added a side of hush puppies which were very good. The food came out very quickly, less than ten minutes after ordering. My only complaint was they only had plastic silverware which made it extremely difficult to eat the snow crab claws.

Food and presentation were awesome. Came out fresh and steamy. Definitely will be coming back. Lots of seafood options. Food came out quick with great flavor.

Don't go 26 hours without eating, then dive in to seafood soaking in "Happy Cajun" butter. The stomach must have something prior to the experience! The seafood was "good", and the sauce was very good. I ordered it mild and it had just enough spice to give the mouth a pop. My husband's jumbo.fried shrimp basket was very disappointing. They were only appeared to be jumbo due to the preparation. They butterfly them so the look big. They are deep fried from fresh, but then FROZEN in bulk (‍ don't ever do that). They were refried for his order. This made the shrimp mushy and unappealing. Yuk. *We know this because our waitress told us the process; then went onto say that she felt it wasnt freshly cooked, as they advertise. She is right.** The calamari was the same way (or prepackaged.) The cocktail sauce was runny and more ketchup than horseradish or spices. Not good at all. The onion rings were definitely the plain, everyday prepackaged blah. Hushpuppies were "okay" but not true; they had corn in them. (one customer complained that it should be a corn fritter). They were served with a tiny plastic condiment cup hold 1/8" of honey for dipping. They have a limited beer and cider list. No mixed drinks, wine, etc was offered. Its6 during COVID19 so I'm hoping that's the reason?? Basic Pepsi products. Didn't see any real (fresh brewed) iced tea listed. That would have been a nice option. If I went back, it would be for another "boil" and only if its in that sauce...but I think I can figure it out in my own kitchen and not pay their prices. ($40.00 for snow crab legs and shrimp boil). All ordered food is pictured Total check $75.00 -- not worth it.

This is Zach. We made sure that we were socially distanced apart. :)

Several weeks ago, my husband and I saw that this place would be opening soon and wanted to try it. Since we live in PG County, the only time we would be able to go would be Sunday when we come down to Leonardtown for worship service. Today was the day and we are so happy that we did. The atmosphere, from the time you walk in, is extremely welcoming. We were greeted by June who is the sweetest woman! We then met her husband Zach who is equally kind. We were informed by them that they had just opened two days ago and we were there 18th customer! My husband later told Zach that he wanted a t-shirt with Happy Seafood and 18 on it. LOL!! The restaurant offers a variety of seafood and also a number of combos, with your choice of sauces. My husband decided to get the snow crab and shrimp (1 lb) combo and I got the mussels and clams (1 lb) combo. AMAZING!! The portion was large and the price was affordable. The seafood was steamed to perfections, well seasoned, and very tasty. Did I mention the customer service? FANTASTIC!!! We later met Jessica and her husband John who were just as nice as Zach & June. We HIGHLY recommend this restaurant and cannot wait until I can visit them again. Thank you all for such an awesome dining experience. We will return!

It's not very big (I counted only 11 tables), but definitely very cozy. The menu was fairly similar to some other places in the area (fish tacos are always temping, lol), but I managed to find something different. Service was a little slow, as we were part of a big rush and there were only 4 employees (2 servers, 2 kitchen). But it was worth the wait. My wife had the French toast from the Sunday brunch menu, while I had the chicken banh mi wrap. Both were very good. Since it's right around the corner from our church, we will definitely come back again.

My wife started with a Cosmo, her favorite cocktail, and said it was excellent. We shared the strawberry salad lunch special and the Popeye burger with fries. The fries were an unusual and cool wide spiral cut, and some of the best we'd ever had. The burger was wagyu beef with Boursin and spinach. The salad had a nice touch of candied walnuts. We got dessert. The flourless lava cake and the key lime pie. Both were amazing and took us to the threshold of diabetes. This has to be one of the best restaurants in the area! It's absolutely wonderful.

I found Blue Wind Gourmet searching for Yelp to fuel up after a business meeting and before a long drive in the rain (east coast in February!). I was a bit confused when I walked in. The space is a wine and chocolate bar and has a hipster wine bar look which is suprising for the area. They also have sandwiches (including crab cake) and soup (crab & corn chowder) so I ordered both and settled in. Coffee for me, no wine (too early), but the wine selection looks impressive. The food came out in maybe 5 minutes, hot and fresh. The crab chowder was delicious, plenty of identifiable crab lumps and good flavor. The crab cake also had crab lumps, not just shredded crab. I did wish the sandwich was a bit bigger though. It was maybe about 3 inches square. Service was prompt and friendly too.

Right away, I could tell they were using fresh frying oil and everything was freshly fried.. most places double fry precooked stuff and use old oil.. to my surprise, everything was freshly made! Smash burger, they have smash burger! What? The fact that they served their signature Atomic smash burger with jalapeño, cheese, an onion ring, pulled pork or brisket, bacon, plus coleslaw?? This was amazing! The standard smash burger was just burger patties and cheese.. it was also really good. Chicken wings were like Korean fried chicken level good wings. I was a bit surprised how plump and juicy they were with really good sauce.. the waitress recommended Old Bay honey and lemon pepper, a half-and-half order that was amazing.. my daughter substituted her smash burger fries with green string beans.. wow, that was really amazing.. not some canned, mushy string beans, but rather really fresh, almost like they picked them from a local farm--buttered, salted, then fire-roasted.. are you kidding me? I wasn't even that hungry and took half of my burger home, munched it up the day after, and it was like eating an upgraded White Castle burger! Delicious.. anyway, this place is a real hidden gem.. There is parking conveniently located near the restaurant, so you don't have to worry about finding street parking. I looked at the menu ahead of time and already knew I wanted the Ultimate Seafood Platter, mainly because it included a crab cake. We also ordered oysters as an appetizer, and they were absolutely delicious and incredibly fresh. Hands down, this was some of the best seafood I've had from a restaurant in a long time. The scallops were plump and juicy, and the fish portion was very generous. I'm usually nervous when a crab cake is included as part of a platter because I expect something small or previously frozen. That was definitely not the case here. The crab cake was a great size and tasted fresh. They offer a traditional version and an "angry" version. I ordered the angry crab cake, and it was seasoned to perfection.
