Food and presentation were awesome. Came out fresh and steamy. Definitely will be coming back. Lots of seafood options. Food came out quick with great flavor.

Don't go 26 hours without eating, then dive in to seafood soaking in "Happy Cajun" butter. The stomach must have something prior to the experience! The seafood was "good", and the sauce was very good. I ordered it mild and it had just enough spice to give the mouth a pop. My husband's jumbo.fried shrimp basket was very disappointing. They were only appeared to be jumbo due to the preparation. They butterfly them so the look big. They are deep fried from fresh, but then FROZEN in bulk (‍ don't ever do that). They were refried for his order. This made the shrimp mushy and unappealing. Yuk. *We know this because our waitress told us the process; then went onto say that she felt it wasnt freshly cooked, as they advertise. She is right.** The calamari was the same way (or prepackaged.) The cocktail sauce was runny and more ketchup than horseradish or spices. Not good at all. The onion rings were definitely the plain, everyday prepackaged blah. Hushpuppies were "okay" but not true; they had corn in them. (one customer complained that it should be a corn fritter). They were served with a tiny plastic condiment cup hold 1/8" of honey for dipping. They have a limited beer and cider list. No mixed drinks, wine, etc was offered. Its6 during COVID19 so I'm hoping that's the reason?? Basic Pepsi products. Didn't see any real (fresh brewed) iced tea listed. That would have been a nice option. If I went back, it would be for another "boil" and only if its in that sauce...but I think I can figure it out in my own kitchen and not pay their prices. ($40.00 for snow crab legs and shrimp boil). All ordered food is pictured Total check $75.00 -- not worth it.

Several weeks ago, my husband and I saw that this place would be opening soon and wanted to try it. Since we live in PG County, the only time we would be able to go would be Sunday when we come down to Leonardtown for worship service. Today was the day and we are so happy that we did. The atmosphere, from the time you walk in, is extremely welcoming. We were greeted by June who is the sweetest woman! We then met her husband Zach who is equally kind. We were informed by them that they had just opened two days ago and we were there 18th customer! My husband later told Zach that he wanted a t-shirt with Happy Seafood and 18 on it. LOL!! The restaurant offers a variety of seafood and also a number of combos, with your choice of sauces. My husband decided to get the snow crab and shrimp (1 lb) combo and I got the mussels and clams (1 lb) combo. AMAZING!! The portion was large and the price was affordable. The seafood was steamed to perfections, well seasoned, and very tasty. Did I mention the customer service? FANTASTIC!!! We later met Jessica and her husband John who were just as nice as Zach & June. We HIGHLY recommend this restaurant and cannot wait until I can visit them again. Thank you all for such an awesome dining experience. We will return!

Best crab boil in southern MD. Fair prices and big portions . It's a Very small place with just 3-4 tables but definitely worth it.

At the time it had been pretty hard to find. I decided to stop by this food truck one day when I was on the way home from work. The guy that works there is very nice and patient. I ordered the two pieces of tilapia, six jumbo shrimp, one crabcake, and it came with fries and two hush puppies. Everything was amazing and reminded me of home. All of the food was cooked crispy, and it was not soggy or floppy. Everything was seasoned perfectly, not over season or under season. And the service was quick, it might have took 10 minutes. Everything is always fresh and it never taste like seafood. If you eat a lot of seafood, then you understand what I mean, yes, it is seafood, but it is not supposed to have that fishey smell. Overall, I wish I could give this place a 10 out of 5, but I will settle for a five out of five. Also, the seasoned butter sauce that he has is great.

Stopped in on a Tuesday night; it's our first visit. The place was relatively quiet and there were…read morenot many visitors. It's a very clean establishment and the staff that greeted us were professional and very friendly. We perused the menu and decided on Thai chili mussels and cheesesteak egg rolls for apps, water and a fig martini for our drinks. The egg rolls came with marinara dipping sauce which was different. Both appetizers were good but lacked in flavor. They were both missing an umami flavor that would have elevated them. The eggs rolls specifically could have benefited from more cheese, a better quality of steak (the menu described it as having rib eye but it was very chewy..I know good ribeye has a nice fat cap but this wasn't that), and salt. The mussels had the spice from the red curry paste but again was missing salt. Sea salt or even soy sauce being added would have elevated that dish. It could have also benefited from some fresh garlic and a fresh herb like Thai basil. To note my martini was very sweet. It was comprised of fig vodka which intrigued me but it just wasn't for me. Our mains were the double crab cake dinner and I ordered a Caesar salad with cajun salmon. My salad was executed okay but with one exception: the dressing. I don't know what it was but it was definitely not a classic Caesar dressing. If you love a good Caesar salad you know the dressing is a crucial element to that salad and as much as I was looking forward to this dish, it failed. The salmon was cooked perfectly, there were shards of parm and not shreds which was a welcome addition and the romaine lettuce fell a bit short as well as it wasn't crisp. Overall I finished the salmon but not all of the remainder of the salad. It was just ok but the salmon definitely saved it. My husband had the crab cake dinner and he enjoyed it very much. There was not much filler in them and they were made with lump crab meat..I venture to say maybe even jumbo lump. I tasted them; they were seasoned very well. The dinner came with fingerling potatoes and coleslaw. I didn't get to taste the potatoes because my husband devoured those..so I guess they were good. I had a bit of the coleslaw and it was dressed well and flavorful; the celery seed in it was pronounced and it wasn't overly dressed in sauce which was good; the cabbage and other vegetables were able to retain a nice crunch. All in all we agreed although some things about our meal could be improved, we would certainly come back. There was a nice vibe in there, that allowed for a great laid back early week date night.

I remember buying a Bike there in the 90s when it was Still called Blue wind, but obviously it was a bike shop at the time. They had a pretty extensive menu of Sandwiches, wraps and salads(All light fare) and some very good looking specials, I had the "garbage" sandwich with a side salad. Fairly large sandwich. Loaded with turkey, Pulled Pork, Ham, Swiss and a BBQ sauce on a Ciabatta roll. Great Flavor, very yummy sandwich, But it was just a tiny bit cold in the middle still(A VERY minor complaint). Side Salad was solid, with a great dressing. The Lemonade was also good if a bit on the Sweet side. Service was also very friendly. Definitely 5 stars. I found Blue Wind Gourmet searching for Yelp to fuel up after a business meeting and before a long drive in the rain (east coast in February!). I was a bit confused when I walked in. The space is a wine and chocolate bar and has a hipster wine bar look which is suprising for the area. They also have sandwiches (including crab cake) and soup (crab & corn chowder) so I ordered both and settled in. Coffee for me, no wine (too early), but the wine selection looks impressive. The food came out in maybe 5 minutes, hot and fresh. The crab chowder was delicious, plenty of identifiable crab lumps and good flavor. The crab cake also had crab lumps, not just shredded crab. I did wish the sandwich was a bit bigger though. It was maybe about 3 inches square. Service was prompt and friendly too.
