    Beef Drunken Noodle
    Ian L.

Oh my God, just like the Thai grandma that I never had used to make. Ordered online, super easy, super quick and didn't even need to step foot inside during this pandemic. Shrimp Summer Rolls were amazing as usual but my Pad See Eew and Drunken Noodles were some of the best that I have ever had in a long time. Both may look the same of very similar but are very distinct in flavor. Both had perfectly cooked vegetables, meat was flavorful and tender. But the noodles and everything all together just left me with the most savory meal ever, just the way I like it. Prices were great, food was hot, nothing to hate I really loved my experience. All I have to say is when the Thai grandma is waiting for you at the door, your food has to be good. It was pretty damn good if you asked me. One of the best actually. 5-Stars.

    Vegetarian steamed dumplings!

I decided to update my review since it has been some time since I last ordered from Thai Kitchen 4. For takeout: vegetarian steamed dumplings, spicy eggplant, garlic duck, (both served with veggies and jasmine rice) and Thai iced tea. All dishes were fantastic and so fresh. The Thai iced tea was sweetly addicting and refreshing! I want to drink this everyday. This was the first time trying the garlic duck. It was scrumptious and crispy with a mild and most delicious garlic taste. The spicy eggplant dish with onions, peppers, and basil was so very tasty--just enough kick without being overpowering. The jasmine rice was perfectly cooked--a little sticky and firm. The dumplings were just so nice to start the meal off with, dipping them in the sauce and enjoying the tastes and textures. Such a wonderful feast with leftovers for lunch!

When I arrived at 6:30pm on a weekday, and I was the only one in the restaurant. My friend and I were the only diners the whole time. There were a few takeout pickups and two people at the bar area. Not sure why it was so empty. Our waitress was really nice and attentive. The menu was pretty standard and prices were pretty average, as well. I got the green curry with medium spicy. It was ok, wish I had gone for hotter and that the peppers were softer. There was a nice portion of tofu, though. They were also accommodating of my friend's dish and used steamed tofu. Nicely decorated, though my friend thought it was a little dark and "dingy." Not clamoring to come back but a fine choice.

Ordered shrimp with red curry and chicken drunken noodles. First off is it was 2 hours + late. I was charged $50 including service charge, they ( not sure the restaurant or grub hub) forget the dumplings. Called restaurant multiple times no answer, grub hub twice and let's just say they didn't give a straight answer or refund. The 2 dishes that came were warm and fairy tasty. So note to self don't order to go from there or grub hub!!

As we had some time to kill which the kid was attending a cooking class in the area we decided to go grab lunch. Was first looking at another. Restaurant but that turned out to be store front only. So we eyed this place and said let's give it a go. To say that food EXCEEDED my expectations is an understatement. We shed the fried rolls fresh rolls and crab rangoon. My wife had her typical pad se eww and myself the drunken noodles both with beef. Everything was delicious. And not being a busy time the owner lady came over and was taking with us after our meal. It was just such a nice atmosphere and meal. I'm truly excited to go back here and try other offerings.

Pandemic Update: The patio was open for dine in. However, the tables were dusty. I don't know how much wiping and disinfecting was being done. Since I was the only one there, I felt pretty safe and didn't really mind. I had ordered a curry that did not have coconut milk. Medium spicy with a nice little punch to it. The curry wasn't that flavorful though. Maybe there was but I mostly tasted spicy and salt. The whole dish could only be described as underwhelming. A little bowl of "curry" that had more similarity with a soup. A standard serving of rice. If I don't this at a cafeteria, I'd be happy but this is supposed to be a restaurant. I have had better experience with Thai food in other restaurants in central CT. I'm sure the pandemic has affected the service and menu. However, I could not justify returning based on this first experience.

Looking for a fancy restaurant with 5 star ambiance? White glove service from the finest servers ever? You have come to the wrong place! Want the best Thai food in a hundred miles radius? This place is for you! The food is awesome, the service is a little slow, the place is nothing to look at, but when I tell you FRESH, I mean the freshest food you could imagine, I swear they pre-make nothing, it's the only reason I can guess it takes a while to get the food, but worth the wait? You bet!! If you are in a hurry go somewhere else, you have time for an awesome Thai meal, sit relax and enjoy. We had the Spring rolls and they were fried in fresh oil, and tasted perfect! Pork Pud Thai is what I had, wife had Pineapple Fried Rice, and we would (and will) be returning) Price was $31 for two for lunch and while that is a bit much for lunch, the portions were huge and so freshly cooked!! Plenty to take home.

Got take-out lunch here the other day. Nothing to rave about. Got veggie Pad See Ew, and it was mostly just noodles.

I don't like to share poor reviews but I wanted to share my honest experience…read more The first thing I noticed was the limited parking. When you enter, you walk through a boba tea and sweets area before turning the corner into the restaurant seating, which was a bit unexpected but interesting. When I arrived, I was asked to wait briefly for a group to leave before being seated since the space is very small and there wasn't enough room to pass. Once they moved, I was seated right away, which I appreciated. There were a few cleanliness and service issues that took away from the experience. The table hadn't been fully cleaned and still had spilled flower water on it, with napkins on the floor underneath. We also didn't have napkins or silverware at the table initially, so I grabbed napkins from the other side of the restaurant to wipe the table. I did mention this to the staff, but the table wasn't addressed afterward. The food was okay and had flavor, though it was fairly simple and became repetitive after a few bites. Service overall felt a bit slow, and we waited for a while before someone helped us check out. Overall, the experience was just okay. With a bit more attention to cleanliness and service, I think this place has the potential to be much better.

I decided on an order of chicken wings with Thai sauce, and beef with mixed vegetables in a garlic sauce. The wings were on point, crispy with Thai sauce. Sauce was mild and sweet The beef with mixed vegetables and garlic sauce was awful! Grey beef, looked poached, with mixed vegetables. Veggies but the cabbage were ok, cabbage tasted spoiled. The garlic sauce.... Let's call this jarlic and water, which was so bland, this dish seemed like a dietetic dish! No kick at all! The jasmine rice was bland until I put the remaining chile sauce on it. This was a disappointment, given the restaurant was slow at 12:15 on a Wednesday I expected food with a kick, instead diet bland food was served.

The drunken noodles had real flavor and actual spice--thank you for not watering it down! You can tell they stayed true to the dish, and I appreciated that. The duck roll was good overall. I personally would've liked the sauce on the side and the wrap a bit thinner, but flavor-wise it was definitely there. The winter shrimp was solid too--nothing that blew me away, but still good. I didn't come for the ambiance, but it still gave a nice cultural vibe. Service was smooth--I called in my order and they answered right away, no issues at all. I'll definitely be back because there are a few more things on the menu I've got my eye on

First, the home-style dishes feel very authentic and you can customize the spice level according to your own preference. I devoured the prik king with chicken and my wife was delighted to enjoy the drunken noodles with shrimp. Second, this stand-alone restaurant has a cozy interior with 3 or 4 tables. Third, the service was great for dine-in service. The owner stopped by to ask for feedback on the dishes (which were excellent with a spice level of "1"). . She shared the importance of "9" in Thai culture as a word for growth and prosperity. The restaurant was opened on July 29, 2022 and is located at 29 Broad Street. We would strongly recommend this restaurant if you are visiting New Britain, CT or traveling through the area. They have a robust take-out service as well.
