Pleasant surprise. Great service, good food. Reasonable prices. Had edamame and dumplings for appetizers and a rice dish and a beef dish for dinner. All very tasty and well prepared. Did not have the food 'flavor' of something that was prepared in the morning like some of the Asian type restaurants in town. The Thai food there is so good! The people are very friendly and the delivery service was fast. My favor dish there is Basil fried rice and fried wonton. I'm actually amaze with the spice they use in this restaurant, is very authentic. I cant recommend Thai Kichen 4 enough love the food! read more

I come here quite often for living 30 minutes away. Probably be here once a week if I lived closer honestly. Pat is the nicest person you will meet. She's usually the one working that you probably see there all the time. The food is amazing, everything I get always has flavor and never disappoints. Portion sizes matches the price. My husband and I just moved into town(Plantsville) and were concerned that we would be limited to Italian and American restaurants. We couldn't have been more wrong. I was thrilled to find a Thai restaurant and we decided to start with two different appetizers-the fried tofu and the fresh rolls. Both were excellent and the dipping sauce was delicious. I especially enjoyed the rolls with the mint leaves. The taste was fresh and light. I ordered the green curry seafood dish and my husband, who is not a spice person, ordered the lemongrass chicken. This restaurant's menu made it easy for him to order something other than pad thai. I was surprised at the size of my dish, it easily would have fed two, and even more pleased that the dish was made the way it should be. I love heat but not at the expense of not being able to taste the rest of the food and this dish allowed me to taste all the vegetables and the seafood while enjoying the tingle of chili. My husband was quite happy with the chicken and I was really surprised to hear "we can do this again" come out of his mouth. We are looking forward to going back and trying more of the menu items. I want to start off by saying the food here is great. There's a wide variety of great quality food. However, I have to give this restaurant 1 star. On 5/12/17 I placed an order via GrubHub and the original estimated pickup time was 6:05pm-6:15pm which was perfect because I was leaving work at 6pm. When the order was confirmed, the time changed to 6:45pm-6:55pm which was an inconvenience because I had to wait around an extra 40+ minutes and I had already worked all day and have a 60+ minute drive home. I understand that restaurants can be busy on a Friday night so, while annoyed at the inconvenience, I completely understood and would not hold it against them. I killed some time and arrived at the restaurant at 6:45pm to pick up my order. I waited for 10 minutes and nobody ever came out to assist me. I decided to leave after 10 minutes because I had somewhere I needed to be and couldn't wait any longer. At around 7pm I received a phone call from someone at the restaurant. She asked if I was going to be picking up my order and I explained to her that I was already there, waited 10 minutes and have already left. She responded with saying there was no way I was there for 10 minutes because she came right over as soon as she heard the door and I had already left. The only way that would be possible is if I walked in the door and immediately walked back out, which makes absolutely no sense. I told her I'd like to cancel my order and I'd need a refund. She asked if I wanted a credit for my next order and I said, no I'd like a refund. I'm only in Southington for work a couple times a month so it wouldn't make sense to do a credit, and after this event, I likely won't be back anyway. After I told her no, she said "ok, bye bye" and hung up never explaining how to go about getting a refund or, most importantly, apologizing. I understand that nobody is perfect, but if they cannot apologize for their error, then this is not somewhere that I will be visiting again and I cannot recommend anyone else to visit this restaurant either. read more

The new owners really take pride in their restaurant and you can tell because besides the AMAZING food, the waitresses are unbelievably nice and the restaurant is always clean. I've tried about every curry on the menu, half the specials, the typical drunken noodles, which is my favorite, to the best pad thai I've ever had as well. My girlfriend and I love thai food and we been to just about every restaurant around the Hartford county and by far, this one is my absolute favorite. If they had a bar, THEY WOULD MAKE A KILLING!! But I suppose since they do sell beer and wine now, they're getting somewhere. Hopefully they get a bar soon. My girlfriend and I WILL BE THERE EVERYDAY. haha. read more

I read some of the previous reviews for Thai Kitchen 4, and I almost wonder if they are going to the same place I did. I have dinned in once, and the food was just not great. Not horrible, but just not up to the same standards I have had at other places. A few moths later, I had a craving for Thai and decided to give this place another try. I order the Thai basil rice and my mom got the pad thai. When we ordered we were given a 40 minute time wait, which was fine considering it might have been a busy night over there. Two hours later and we still didn't have any food. They called us just to ask is we still wanted it! We said yes, and it took another hour just to receive, once again, sub par food. I'm just not impressed, especially considering the Wild Orchid, a new Thai restaurant, has just opened right down the street, which has food much better than Thai Kitchen 4. read more
