Having lived in LA and Portland, I've been blessed with great Thai food in every corner. Had been craving my favorite drunken noodles, so I wandered in here with a couple friends and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of food here. I had Pannang curry and Tom Kam soup. Wife had the drunken noodles. Son had fried rice. Summer rolls and dumplings as appetizers. Summer rolls were awesome. Dumplings were more like Chinese "4 season dumplings" whereas we were expecting pot stickers. Other than that all smiles at a good price. read more

I had skepticism coming here since authentic Thai food is hard to come by around here.. but I was impressed! The interior was very quaint, spacious, and well lit and we were greeted by multiple Thai women as we entered. They were all adorable and so sweet. Overall the service, food quality and generous portions, and authenticity all are good. I recommend the Thai curry (red or green are my usual choices) or the Drunken Noodles. The Larb Gai chicken salad is always a favorite of mine, so try that if you're feeling adventurous. I loved that the noodles were not overcooked like most places and they had tons of flavor! I came here because it had really good reviews. The food was good, but the service was terrible. Our waitress was not at all attentive. She seemed annoyed when I asked for soy sauce and chili peppers (there wasn't any at our table). She had a hard time with our order and the food all came out at once (soup and dinner). The waitress didn't seem busy and we were the only people in the restaurant. In the middle of mr order for bubble tea after dinner, she leaves the table and then when she comes back she forgot half my order. She didn't smile once, and seemed reluctant to even bring us to go boxes. As far as our order: the Thai iced tea was really good. We also ordered the Tom kha soup, pad Thai and chili basil fried rice. The fried rice was not up to my 5/5 spice level, especially for a Thai restaurant. Today is my last time coming to this place.! When I first came to Cincinnati last year, I was looking for a Thai place since it is my fav kind of food. I heard about this place and checked it out. I loved the food and service. Fast forward to today and I have come to this restaurant multiple times and the service has gotten worse and worse. I am left at my table waiting almost 30 minutes and no one checks on me..Also the food has come to my table lukewarm or pretty much cold. Today when I went to get lunch I got cold lukewarm food and when I asked for a straw the waiter assumed that I like to eat ice as a reason for not giving me a straw in the first place.......what does that have to do with anything. He has done this before making random comments....just get the straw... Also the lady in the front who I assume is the manager now . She is an older asian lady and is very cold and rude. Probably our new favorite Thai restaurant. We found that the pricing is comparable or better than other similar restaurants in the area. The basil/drunken noodle dish is my new favorite. If you're interested in their soups, be advised that the bowl is a standard one person serving. The hot pot size will easily feed 3+ people; I ended up eating my leftovers 3 times over the next few days. Don't skip on the bubble tea! Have only tried a couple flavors so far but the best right now seems to be honeydew. Will definitely be adding Thai Koon to our regular restaurant rotation. read more

Since moving to the area we've been on the lookout for a quality Thai place to fill the void from the good places we had back in Chicago & this place fills that void. I've had the Drunken Noodles, usually level 5 heat, & it's the perfect level of spice for me. My wife always gets the Pad Thai & she loves it! She usually gets at least two meals out of it due to the portion size. We will definitely be back again & again to get our Thai fix! We wanted to try out this new restaurant. The restaurant closes at 8 PM. We walked in at 7:20 PM and the restaurant was empty, no customers and now I see why. Two workers sitting by register just look at us for a few second s which was awkward and unwelcoming and then one says, " We close at 8." I said, " Ok" They said, " Is that enough time for you? " My response was, " As long as that's enough times for you." I felt annoyed that they didn't want business, so we left. The menu is vegan friendly and the staff is knowledgable on making appropriate recommendations - They are able to make most of their items vegan. Our food came out quickly and everything tasted good. Our dishes were made to order and prepared using fresh ingredients. They were hot, flavorful and healthy. The decor is pleasant and the owner and staff are welcoming and family friendly - They were happy to accommodate our baby in a high chair. Ended up here on accident because the sushi place a couple doors down was too crowded... But what a fortunate accident it was because they exceeded my expectations! At first we were worried by the lack of patrons. The place was totally dead when we walked in. But none of that mattered in the end because the food is superb! We had crab rangoon for appetizer. It tasted fresh and delicious, definitely far from the kind you get at a Chinese buffet. Then, for the main course we had Pineapple Fried Rice and some kind of veggie stir fry with curry... I forget the name. Both dishes did not disappoint, but the former is definitely my favorite! I've never had Pineapple Fried Rice so flavorful! The prices are reasonable as well. Our bill was under $30 for 1 appetizer, and 2 ample-sized entrees. We ended up taking home most of our entrees because the portions were just very generous! This is the best Thai restaurant I have eaten at. The food is amazing, the service excellent and everyone who works there is super polite. This is a great family ran restaurant. To the person saying they made a comment about tipping. It must have been someone helping because none of the people we have encountered have EVER mentioned a tip. If anything they always offer a small cup of soup or spring roll while your waiting. They are less busy in the evenings but usually packed at lunch. read more

A great small business. I ordered panang curry and was told "only the owner cooks that and she's stepped out" Just then, said owner, walked by on her way to a (probably) much needed break. Hearing this statement- she responded "I'll cook it" and headed right back into the kitchen... Leaving her waiting spouse outside. The result? Yum! Stopped here with a coworker for lunch on a weekday afternoon. The restaurant was empty so we were very promptly served. I don't think it was even five minutes before the food was served. The Pad Thai with Chicken (my meal) and the Sweet and Sour Chicken (my coworker's) meal were both delicious. The iced tea was also fresh and tasty. Will definitely visit again. My fiancee and I decided to eat at Thai Koon Kitchen based on previous reviews, and we are sure glad that we did! We ordered drunken noodles (4 spice level), pad thai (4 spice level, should've ordered a 3 though, lol), some steamed dumplings to share, along with an order of mango bubble tea and some regular hot tea. Everything came our super fast, and was amazing to eat. I took some of my pad thai home, because it was so spicy. The bubble tea was super sweet, but had good flavor. I found this place here on yelp. It was close to the hotel I was staying at. So, I figured I would try it out. The restaurant is very clean and the waitress was as nice as could be. It was not busy, but I was a bit early. The menu had tons of items to choose from. I ordered the cashew chicken. Spicy level 4 on a 1-5 scale. It was perfect! It came with a large bowl of jasmine rice. Perfect portion for dinner. I will definitely come back while I am in town and try the pad Thai. Dis-gust-ing! Wow! I have eaten a lot of Thai Food in my day and I honestly have never eaten Thai that was this awful. I am scratching my head trying to figure out how it got so many great reviews. The chicken lettuce wraps were so saucy that they were goopier than a sloppy joe and were way too sweet. I couldn't eat them. The chicken satay was not cooked to order, so it was dry and tough. Tom Yum soup was salty and didn't have enough lemongrass flavor. Pad Thai was too sweet and saucy, yet lacked flavor and they skipped the egg. Came here on a Friday night with my little brother, surprised to see the place so empty! The food was really good, the portions were large and the service was fast.
