I got the one hour Thai massage with hot stones. The staff is very nice and adamant about being on time. It was clean and smelled very good inside. My massage therapist was Ada. She is skilled at what she does. She will ask you the level of strength that you want. Since this was my first time I said strong. When she began it felt like an extremely deep tissue massage. I could not handle it. I had to say something a few times. But it's good to know that they do go deep and intense. Ada listened and made sure to be light and gentle but still having some force. The hot stone part was decent I do wish that I got more stones put on me. This was the perfect birthday gift! The price for hot stones and the massage was $90. The hour goes by quickly. At the end of my session I felt so relaxed. My voice changed sounding zen like. Next time I go I will be getting 90 minutes. There's paid street parking only. When you get there, ring the bell when you get to the front door they will buzz you in. This place is highly secure. Even the bathroom has its own key. When you come in I do highly recommend you use the bathroom before laying down for your massage. you will be extremely relaxed and don't want to mess it up. I can't wait to go again! Beautiful experience from the time I entered; there was a special cubicle for me to leave my shoes at the door. My room was ready and we got started right away. I undressed and laid on the table. Immediately, there was a combination of low, medium and high pressure applied to my body with a focus on my back. There were hot and cool towels as well as oils and lotions applied to my body. Is clean and well kept They have a room for couples massages and you can request a male or female therapist Good value for money - they also offer cash discounts and 5 pack bundles Therapists have different styles but they are trained and know what they are doing. I have had the same therapist twice recently now and although I am in pain during the massage while he works on my knots and stretches me out, I am very relaxed the following day. I hadn't gotten a massage for 2+!years during the pandemic and it showed in my tightness and stiffness. Chin was able to address a lot of it so well that on my second visit a month later this he didn't feel too much stiffness or many knots either. My recommendation is to try them out but let them before they start on pressure level as well as areas of stiffness or soreness that need addressing. I enjoyed the serene music and I would not have expected my very thin masseuse to rest get in there and attack those knots. I especially enjoy the stretching session at the end. After a misunderstanding with my original appt the owner sent me a message and I went back to Thai Lotus. I am so glad I did! When I arrived they apologized for the previous misunderstanding. Esther was my masseuse and she is incredible. She asks for your preferences at the beginning and then really works your whole body. She is firm but not forceful nor is anything painful. She really gets in there and works out knots and stretches you. I could tell she was on the table and using her arms and legs for massaging my body. They use wonderful oil, hot stones, and hot towels as well. They even give you clothes to wear during your massage. I am obsessed with the pants they give you. The spa is also very nicely decorated. I had my first massage done and it was awesome. As soon as you walk in, you are transported to a relaxing and calming area. There's is soft music playing and the waiting room has plenty of space to sit, hang your jacket, and put away your shoes. They also have a coffee machine for those interested. They took me to a room where there was a change of clothes ready for me (t shirt and loose capris). After I changed, the masseuse came in and began. He asked me what pressure level I wanted and then got to work. At first, it was a little overwhelming since there was a lot of pressure and repeated motions involving stretches and full body movements- it was intense.But as he kept going, I could feel the knots releasing in my neck and my body getting more relaxed. The hot towels and hot stones were my favorite part- the heat released the pressure and tenseness in my back and it was very calming. Overall positive experience. On a Friday night I decided to book an appointment for the next morning on a Saturday at 9am. Easy to book an appointment online, and you get a text very quickly to confirm. Most of the time slots were already booked for the day which is why I ended up with the first appointment of the day. When I arrived I came a little before 9 (they open at 9). They are located on the second floor in one of the suites. The door was unlocked but you really have to push it! It opens into a relaxing waiting room lobby. Since I was the first appointment it seemed that the staff person was still setting up. They welcomed me in and asked if I needed to use the restroom before we started. I said yes and they grabbed a key and led me back out to the hallway to restroom which they unlocked for me. Clean and spacious! I didn't wait very long before the masseuse had set up and led me to the room. She gave me a folded sheet and instructed me to remove all my clothes except my underwear and cover myself with the sheet, once she leaves the room. I ordered a deep tissue massage so I assume that is why I wasn't provided clothes to change into--they used lotion (or was it oil?) for the massage. I believe my massage therapist's name was Jane or Janie--she was great! She checked in a couple times about how the pressure was and how I was doing. I had so many knots that really built up over the past two years and I think she did a great job on my back. I left feeling much much lighter! The massage ended up being fabulous - the masseuse asked what level of pressure I wanted and I said medium which was perfect. She got out a big knot in my shoulder that had been unaffected by past massages, and at one point she even got on all fours on my back and thighs, which was AMAZING. I love this place! I wish I could go every week. I do aerial fitness 2-3 times a week and it makes my shoulders so tight and stiff. This is the only place to go for a true deep tissue massage and one of the only Thai massage studios in Chicago. If you're not used to Thai massage it may be a little too personal for some people. They use all body parts for the massage (hands, elbows, knees, feet) and are often sitting or kneeling on the table next to you. They stretch your arms and legs to increase range of motion after the massage. I leave feeling like a new person. They are professional, promptly respond, and allow you to make online appointments. Booked an 90 minute massage and arrived 10 minutes early. Shoes come off once you come in. Right away I was greeted and guided into the room where there was a shirt and shorts for me to change into. I could smell lysol or some kind of disinfectant around the massage table and I took that as a good sign. This wasn't my first massage but I have to laugh at my own reaction when I felt the masseuse's feet on my back so suddenly. I think I was just in the zone and didn't realize that was next- not a bad thing! My legs got bent into positions I haven't attempted since college and that was a damn good stretch.
