I liked the ambience/vibe, and staff was respectful and friendly, but the prices for non-members is shocking for the semi-privacy of the "rooms" or "sections." Charging spa prices for this decidedly non-spa experience was a little disconcerting. Agree with others that the add-ons were also pricey. Can't recall the name of the masseuse who attended me, but when I was getting tapped on the head with the add-on of the scalp treatment, I was silently wondering what kind of training this person had. A friend of mine gave me a gift card for my birthday and it took me too long to use it. I went in today, finally. I really needed some relaxation! I originally booked a NOW 25 but extended to the 50 minute massage when I got there. TREAT YO SELF. I wish the waiting area had a little bit more comfy seating but I wasn't there too long. But in the winter when you have a big coat, beanie, gloves and an umbrella it's hard to just stand around. I had seen pictures of the inside before and knew they didn't have private rooms, per se. More like lofted sections for each person. And the areas are sectioned off with thick linen. I was worried this would be an issue for me. They had sound machines in each area and the only thing I heard from someone else was a hanger falling to the floor. Otherwise it's fine. Not an issue. The massage was great! The masseuse asked me some questions before hand, which I appreciated. The table is heated and the ambiance is lovely. I was so relaxed. I am unsure if I'll be back, I'll be honest it's a bit pricey for me. There's a Thai massage place right next door that's a bit more affordable for a longer massage. But I get that you're paying for the trendiness of this place. What I loved a lot was that they didn't try to push a membership on you. I went to Hand and Stone earlier this year and had a terrible massage and they had the audacity to push a membership on me. read more

He's amazing with deep tissue; firm and targeted, but never painful. I usually prefer a mid-level pressure (around a 5 on their 1-10 scale), and he nails it every time. I've also done the Stretch with him and it was excellent for my lifestyle of working out and dancing! It's ideal for those days when you want something a little more targeted and functional. But if relaxation is the goal, you can't go wrong with the NOW Signature Massage. It's the perfect blend of soothing, restorative, and just "float out of the room" kind of good. The space itself is serene and earthy--just what you want in a spa. It smells great, has a minimal clean design, and the energy is calm from the moment you walk in. The front desk staff is always warm, welcoming, and fun to chat with. Pro tip: THE NOW keeps a full roster of therapists at the front, so if you have a specific style or need, don't hesitate to ask for recommendations. What I liked: - Clean, quiet, professional decor and setting -dark and clean smelling; lavender throughout What made me feel uncomfortable/ can improve on: - Should ask for a gender preference - Should also disclose that the therapist will ask you to undress to top down completely- - I am a modest person that have issues with this but felt pressured "I can work on it better if you removed..." - the background noise was loud waves, it was very aesthetically unrelaxing. Perhaps a lower volume level would have been more relaxing or rain sounds -incomplete explanation of membership policy and rules I did sign up to be a member but shortly after I cancelled. I am hoping the process is not difficult and I don't get charged twice. I cannot recommend this place for modest females. read more

I had Bella as my massage therapist. When she called my name, she took me to the side to ask what I needed. she asked several questions to gauge how my massage should go that would benefit my problem areas the most. I mentioned THREE things: DONT touch my butt or hair! And I need a REALLY REALLY deep massage. At the beginning of the massage, I was mentally writing my Yelp review like I always do and I thought, oh boy this is starting off too soft for my liking. By the time I woke up from the massage ( she did put me to sleep at one point, but I woke up not long after, I like to be AWARE of everything that is happening, I've had some very STRANGE massages where I had to literally pray through the thing) and it continued, I was pleasantly surprised by how well she found my knots and how each section of my body were worked on very differently. Overall it was a very enjoyable massage and I felt extremely well afterward. They have a really nice lobby with infused water they offer and the massage rooms are QUIET even though your all next to each other. The soft ocean sounds playing in the background is loud enough to not hear bathroom doors opening and closing. read more

If I could give it zero stars I would! I SPECIFICALLY REQUESTED to have a massage by someone and didn't receive that massage. I have been member since the south loop location opened, I even got a nice welcome bag. I haven't NEVER been placed with another massage therapist nor has any mistakes been made. Today was the day where I booked an appointment with my daughter and myself and my daughter had a COMPLETELY different masseuse. They did not tell me things had been changed prior to and she had a different masseuse. I actually mentioned the name of the masseuse booked for my daughter a few times and the two ladies at the front desk never told me that my daughters masseuse was NOT Margarita!! I specifically called in and requested her based me and my daughter entire experience around her . I feel as if they knew it had been changed and that didn't tell me. One employee at the front desk seemed a bit new but the other seems as if she knew my masseuse had been changed and she didn't notify me about if before hand. I mentioned margaritas name a few times and she never addressed it, Instead her energy was off setting and she wasn't the friendliest. This is the worst experience I've had because I booked it according to what was requested. I was told manager was coming in today but I haven't anything as of yet. I did the 50 minute massage with hot stones on my back and arms and it was worth every penny. Julian, the host was perfect, he gently welcomed me in and took the time to explain and answer all of my questions. I love self care and get massages often. Typically, I wouldn't sign up for a membership, but for $85 for a luxury spa experience with rollovers, family/friend use, and freeze/pause whenever- it was such a great deal! I already go once a month anyways so this made sense for me. Ambiance is nice, the front desk, and service are friendly. As for the massage, I had Robin and she was amazing! I had stubborn knots in my neck/shoulder area and felt super tense. Also, I work out often and just ran a race so I booked The Stretch athlete massage. I feel like a new person again! Then, I was charged $85 to the credit card on file in March of this year. I called and was told by someone, that a manager would contact me and I would be reimbursed in 3-5 business days. No one called or reimbursed me. Then, they charged me again in April, after sending emails about not being able to access my card. This is a fraudulent company!! BEWARE!!! I typically book with Robyn, who is excellent. One time I came in with a headache and she was able to massage my head in a way that got rid of it immediately, it was like magic! She is also very thorough by asking me if any areas need special attention, and making recommendations after every massage. The atmosphere is interesting, lots of beds in one room divided by curtains, with very loud ocean noises. The problem was that the massage was too light even after I asked for more pressure, and she didn't focus at all on the areas I wanted. I asked for help getting knots out of my neck and shoulders. She went super light on my shoulders, and she didn't even touch my neck. The only reason I'm giving 3 stars is that the feet / legs part was good.
