Food was pretty good, we definitely underestimated the quantity of how much food would come in each dish. We ended up having a lot of left overs. The Thai tea was especially good! I recommend getting this. The service was okay but the restaurant was very pretty inside.

Went to TL on Friday night. It was fantastic. The Duck soup was delicious as was the crispy beef. Service was very good. I would recommend them for sure!

This place is amazing!! The food portions are large (and sharable - if desired). It's so flavorful! The thai dumplings - got 3 orders. Drunken chicken noodles, crispy snapper, spicy fried rice (liked the ground chicken vs the filet pieces), and the crispy duck (OMG!!) - we ate well!! The ambiance is delightful. The owner is super friendly and sweet. You'll love this hidden gem that's not super busy!!

Love the lunch menu. Comes with soup and spring roll. Both very good. I enjoyed the red curry, while my guest had panang curry. Both flavorful. Full of veggie goodies. Decor is nice. Not updated or fancy. Music playing at a low volume enhances the mood. Recommend for lunch.

The picture saying it self. Delicious food, good service. If like Thai food this place is for you.

Crispy Duck Noodle Soup - So good!

Who knew this area would be known for one dish: Crispy Duck noodle soup. I had the pleasure of trying Thai Tada's version and wanted to see how Thai Luang compared. Although their crispy skin got soggier faster, the duck had a bit more flavor from the duck fat. Also, the broth slightly had more flavor than Thai Tada's. Thai Luang's version uses very large wide noodle which was fun to eat with a fork. The prices were about the same and well worth every dollar. In conclusion, which place is better? Sorry folks, it's a dramatic tie for me!

Pad Thai with Fried Tofu (to go portion is HUGE) nice and spicy if you ask for it

I moved to Herndon two years back and ever since, this has been my go to thai place! In fact, since coming here I now live in Chantilly, and I will drive all the way out here because their thai food is the best in northern Virginia hands down. The staff are so friendly, sweet, and when you order to go they make it FAST. My go to items are the Pad Thai, Pad See Ew and the Spicy Basil Fried Rice. I really like spicy food and level 2 and 3 are very spicy! I love when places actually know what "spicy" means. I always get tofu as my protein and they give you plenary! The thai iced tea is also super good. I have never been disappointed with anything I've ordered from here. The biggest plus for me is they give you SO much when you order. I know when I order take out it will last me a good three to four days of dinner.

Thai food is not my favorite. We went here for my MIL's birthday. The food was decent. Not a big fan of coconut either but we decided to share some coconut ice cream. DUDE, this ice cream changed my life. Imported directly from Thailand it was freaking amazing. Huge chunks of roasted coconuts it tastes like chocolate. I daydream about it everyday. GO TRY IT!

Chicken Drunken Noodles with Ground Chicken...

Wow. Well I asked a co-worker where to go for Good Thai. He said oh this place in Herndon. Another friend said Reston but I wanted to try a next door place. So sorry I did. This is garbage. This is Drunken Noodle. This is just slop, liquid clear red saucy. Minced chicken. Well I am glad I threw away $20... lets just say Sisters is worth the drive.

My wife and I finally decided to try this place after years of saying "one day". We've now ordered twice in the past 2 weeks. The first time we ordered the Ka Prow fried rice and the drunken noodles with medium spice and chicken. I ordered the lunch size drunken noodles and it was a good amount of food! They were the best drunken noodles I've had around here by far. And the Ka Prow fried rice was so smoky and full of flavor! It makes all other fried rices feel boring in comparison. This time I ordered the Kao Soi chicken. It had a delicious red curry sauce and two whole chicken legs with the egg noodles. I loved how rich the flavor of the soup is. The full grilled squid was something we ordered on our first time and it was also really good but I think a tad overcooked. I can't really speak to service other than the staff being friendly when I've walked in to grab our order. But the inside of the restaurant is cozy. We will definitely keep coming back here and highly recommend it if you're in the area.

We were pleasantly pleased that the bistro did not have a wait and we were seated immediately without reservations. Looks like there is also outside seating once the weather really warms up. The menu consisted of many familiar items. Many of the dishes allowed for a choice of protein. For my entree, I went with the shrimp pad see ew. Though the portion was generous and the noodles were cooked well, the dish was a bit too salty for my taste. It also had a noticeable kick of white pepper, which I actually enjoyed - but the salt was overpowering. Unfortunately, not only did I finish a glass of water at the restaurant, I found myself grabbing another glass after getting home. La Ong is low-stress dining in a cozy spot. Service was friendly and parking was a breeze with plenty of spaces.

Not pictured here but the Crispy Pork Belly with sticky rice was the star for me. We tried several other dishes, but this one really stood out. It was so good that we were craving it again just a few days later and ended up going back. Even thinking about it now is making me crave it again. In the photo is their papaya salad and another dish that I believe was siomai. I am not completely sure of the name, but it was good as well. The restaurant is easy to find since it is right next to a Starbucks. If you enjoy Thai food and love crispy pork belly, this dish is definitely worth trying.

Drunken noodles were chewy and I love the way they cook their fried tofu. Although I got Thai hot, it wasn't very spicy but not a problem as they had a spice rack they could bring me. The waitress refused and said we couldn't use the 4-person table because it was too far from the kitchen and it was busy lunch time. But the restaurant was not busy at all, only a few groups were eating. Then, right after us, a white couple came in, also only two people, and she immediately seated them at a large 4-person table, even though there were still many smaller tables available. That made us feel like we were being treated differently as Asian customers, and it was very upsetting. On top of that, the food was terrible. It was covered in way too much sauce and extremely salty. I literally had to rinse bites with water to make it edible because I didn't want to waste the food. Bad service, uncomfortable treatment, and bad food. I won't come back and I'll tell my family and friends to avoid this place.

What I enjoyed about Yo more than a place like Dumpling District (very similar in menu) was the quality and vibes of the service and atmosphere. The servers were very helpful to explain the dishes to my family members who needed some help. The food hit! The Spicy dry noodles are definitely what drew me to come here and they did not disappoint. My kids loved the pork chops. The seafood soup was loaded! The flavors were exceptional. For example, the Panfried Pork Bun used to be my favorite item here but they've changed the recipe significantly. The pork filling used to be a lot larger and juicier...but now when you break open the bun, the filling is so small that half of the bun doesn't even have any meat. 80% of the bun is just dough and it's not fried well and quite greasy. Everything overall was way too greasy, including the crueller and the dry noodles were swimming in oil. I did like the texture of the noodles, but unfortunately it was overshadowed by the oiliness of the broth it was sitting in. It's really sad to see this place fall short since it opened a couple years ago. I'm hoping that they can improve their quality of food as it's really gone downhill since opening.
