For the first 20 minutes, she focused almost entirely on my head, repeating the same movement over and over. Then she moved to my feet and was basically tickling them. I had to ask her to stop and instead use deep pressure on my lower legs. At that point, I wanted to end the massage, but I kept thinking it might get better. Unfortunately, it didn't. When she worked on my back, she mostly used her elbow. I finally asked her, as politely as I could, to please stop because it wasn't relaxing. She didn't understand me, so she had to get the person at the front desk to translate. The massage therapist wasn't very skillful and seemed to be all over the place. I've never had a massage where I couldn't wait for it to be over. The $80 was definitely not worth it. I wouldn't recommend this place unless you're specifically looking for an elbow-focused massage.

My back pain persisted, and the unnecessary pressure on my arms and legs left me sore all over. - **Dismissive Therapist**: When I expressed that the massage was too painful, the therapist laughed it off and said I needed the intense pressure. I recently visited this massage parlor with the expectation of a relaxing deep tissue massage, but my experience was far from what I anticipated. Firstly, the 'deep massage' I received was surprisingly light and lacked the intensity I was looking for. Furthermore, I had an unexpected encounter with 'cupping therapy.' I was not properly informed about this procedure before it was sold to me, leaving me confused about what was happening. The situation escalated when, during the massage, I was abruptly interrupted and asked if I had requested cupping. I hadn't, and this interruption significantly disrupted the flow and relaxation of the session. To my dismay, I was informed that if I didn't pay for the unplanned cupping, the masseuse would have to bear the cost. Reluctantly, I paid for the service to avoid burdening the staff with the cost of this confusion. However, this policy doesn't sit well with me. On top of that, the massage therapist had a very strong cigarette smell, which made it hard to relax. What bothered me even more was that the owner insisted on getting a 5-star review in order to give a discount. This feels dishonest and puts pressure on customers. A professional masseuse alongside a robot performs various massage techniques. My husband enjoyed the robot portion of the program. I preferred a human being massaging me. Treatments included: 20 minute sauna, deep tissue massage, aromatherapy, red light treatment, and then a groovy machine that gently massages, using air. Robot Massage is all the rage in Asia so if you're interested in it, definitely try it you can regulate how deep you want the massage or specify the areas. Again, use your words and always cash tip. I wasn't asked about areas to focus on or avoid, but once it began, the therapist provided a decent massage that did relieve most of my soreness. The therapist worked alongside the AI massage arm for the first half, which was nice, and the last 30 minutes was just the massage arm. Despite the promise of personalization online, the AI massage really just felt like a nice warm ball rolling on my back in a preset pattern. It was the same level of effectiveness as a standard massage chair, and due to the minimal stimulation and robot sounds, I would've preferred just moving on after 10 min. The red light recovery was pretty odd to me, as I wasn't aware this would be a full-on heated sauna pod and wasn't advised to take off my Fitbit. I was booked for the wrong service via phone call, and the team accommodated nicely, so it's possible this experience was just a reflection of a quick scramble. The team was very friendly, and water was provided.

I appreciated this question and responded that I would prefer a female unless it would cause a wait time, in which case a male would be fine. I ended up with Lily (or maybe Lili, my apologies I couldn't hear her name well). She made sure I was comfortable, asking me if I wanted my massage at medium or hard intensity, which I chose medium. She also intermittently asked if I was feeling ok throughout the massage. Overall, the massage included: arms, back (with hot stone), thighs, calves, feet (and a hot water foot soak), some scalp/ear/temples. Note: "A surcharge of 3% will apply to all credit card payments.
