Hard to believe it's been three years since I've started frequenting Sen Thai but man, do they have my heart and my wallet. Living within walking distance and for those three years I've not once tried the other sushi spot across the street because I always figure I already know Sen Thai will consistently hit the mark! Had the pleasure of celebrating my 27th birthday at Sen Thai. They're great and easy to book reservations with! Staff is always incredibly attentive and kind. I got to enjoy their new Hat Yai Wings, 15$ might seem a bit steep but they were really crispy, flavorful, and a decent portion size they're worth the try as an appetizer at least. This Thai restaurant is located on a busy stretch of Wash Ave in Downtown St. Louis. It is typically busy on a weekend and when conventions are in town so it is always smart to call ahead for a reservation. For appetizers, we ordered the spring rolls and gyoza. Both taste great although the portion size on the egg rolls for the price is a bit small (two instead of three). For entrees we ordered the drunken noodles with beef Thai hot and the Thai fried rice with chicken Thai hot. Service was great as usual as was the food. We will definitely be back. read more

We were needing food before we went to the concert so we had walked here since it was close to our hotel. When we arrived everyone had the same idea so we decided to order it to go instead of sitting and waiting to be seated. As long as it would've took for us to get a table it only made sense for us to order to go. The hostess that was working the register and taking reservations was very friendly and helpful. The restaurant was clean and was organized. I got the Thai spicy fried rice with chicken which was really seasoned well. The first time I tried to eat here, I was told it would be a 20 minute wait for a party of 2, so we put our names down and left a number but we were never called... We came the next night and spent 10ish minutes waiting for a table. I had the Thai iced tea and the tom yum ramen with shrimp. I have really been on a tie cake Lily and was actually invited here for a birthday dinner. I've never even known this place was here so I'm glad that I got to experience it. Upon arrival, they were pretty busy and it is street parking so please be advised the vet. I sat at the bar while waiting for my party to arrive and I tried out there red Lynn house wine, which was very very good and they give you a nice portion as well. For service we had a very large party and I have to come in them for how they handle it. All the food was fresh and everything came out on time. The inside is dimly lit so it's not overly bright but like a perfect evening setting, which is great. They have bar seating as well as as table seating and certain areas of the restaurant that accommodate large groups. As far as drinks, I tried the strawberry lemon drop as well and it was very very good. I love lemon drop where the proportion of alcohol is great and I don't have to have more than one and there's is perfect. All the food and really big portions and everything was hot and fresh. We were visiting from out of town and stumbled upon this place, and what a find! Sen Thai is a small spot, but it's incredibly cute and has a great vibe. We didn't have a reservation on a busy night, but luckily, there was one table left for us over by the window but it was definitely worth it! The food was incredible. While I don't remember the exact sushi rolls we ordered, the sushi platter was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. The real star of the show for our appetizer was the crab rangoons--they were perfectly crispy and served with a fantastic sweet chili sauce. I'm pretty sure I could've eaten a whole plate of that sauce! This is a great spot for a date night or a casual dinner with friends. If you're in the area, I highly recommend stopping by. The service was a little slow, they were busy but there were open tables and lots of staff to work them. I ordered the Penang curry and my coworker got the drunken noodles. Again, a long wait for our food to come out; tables seated after us were getting their food before us. When the dishes arrived, they were good - hot, tasty and well seasoned. We asked for the check and when they brought it, it said $0. While I was willing to pay that, we showed it to the receptionist and she quickly fixed it. The food was prepared within 10 minutes of the initial order and they got it out to the delivery driver quickly as well. From order to arrival it took just 20 minutes. The food itself was your classic pad Thai and really nothing extra. It was exactly what we were looking for. We ordered the Pad Thai with Tofu and asked for additional chicken. Due to the limitations in size of packaging I'm actually not sure we got more food. It seems like some of the chicken ended up replacing some of the tofu in order to have enough space in the container. The serving was large enough for two moderately hungry adults to split.
