Sen has a full bar but only has 4 beers on draft. We ordered the gyoza & spring rolls for appetizers. There were served hot and came out before the rest of our food. For entrees, we had the beef drunken noodles and Thai fried rice with chicken for the protein. We ordered our entrees on a spice level of 5 because we like our food spicy! I have really been on a tie cake Lily and was actually invited here for a birthday dinner. I've never even known this place was here so I'm glad that I got to experience it. Upon arrival, they were pretty busy and it is street parking so please be advised the vet. I sat at the bar while waiting for my party to arrive and I tried out there red Lynn house wine, which was very very good and they give you a nice portion as well. For service we had a very large party and I have to come in them for how they handle it. All the food was fresh and everything came out on time. The inside is dimly lit so it's not overly bright but like a perfect evening setting, which is great. They have bar seating as well as as table seating and certain areas of the restaurant that accommodate large groups. As far as drinks, I tried the strawberry lemon drop as well and it was very very good. I love lemon drop where the proportion of alcohol is great and I don't have to have more than one and there's is perfect. All the food and really big portions and everything was hot and fresh. We didn't have a reservation on a busy night, but luckily, there was one table left for us over by the window but it was definitely worth it! The food was incredible. While I don't remember the exact sushi rolls we ordered, the sushi platter was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. The real star of the show for our appetizer was the crab rangoons--they were perfectly crispy and served with a fantastic sweet chili sauce. The service was a little slow, they were busy but there were open tables and lots of staff to work them. I ordered the Penang curry and my coworker got the drunken noodles. Again, a long wait for our food to come out; tables seated after us were getting their food before us. When the dishes arrived, they were good - hot, tasty and well seasoned. The food was prepared within 10 minutes of the initial order and they got it out to the delivery driver quickly as well. From order to arrival it took just 20 minutes. The food itself was your classic pad Thai and really nothing extra. It was exactly what we were looking for. We ordered the Pad Thai with Tofu and asked for additional chicken. Due to the limitations in size of packaging I'm actually not sure we got more food. It seems like some of the chicken ended up replacing some of the tofu in order to have enough space in the container. The serving was large enough for two moderately hungry adults to split. The crab rangoons are some of the best in St. louis. They come with an absolutely special sweet chili sauce. It is so amazing. I normally get the fried rice because it is so good. But, I rolled with the garlic and pepper chicken. This may be my new go to. Slightly spicy (I wish it were spicier tbh) with a really solid sweetness. It is savory. THe veggies are cooked to perfection. The savory sauce is incredible. I could drink it. This place churns out consistency. It may be our top thai spot in STL. Anytime we want thai, sen thai has become the default. THe drinks are pretty good. They have a pretty good bar program, but nothing to write home about. The atmosphere was lively on a weekday around noon so, the service was a bit delayed, even though I sat solo at the bar. But, once my server found me I was promptly taken care of and there were no other delays. I ordered a go-to of mine, a comfort food that was fitting for a rainy Midwestern afternoon, the Tom-Yum Soup. It was the perfect combination of hot and sour with the warm umani broth speckled with plump shrimp and meaty mushrooms. This soup always hits the spot and I save up the flavorful broth to pour over my rice that accompanies my entrée. That is what I call a "flavor bomb" Now, the lunch specials here are one of the best deals around and very filling, for under $15 they can't be beat. Also, the variety is nice because they offer Thai, as well as, Japanese styles of entrees. I went with a traditional pick that I order at my local Thai restaurant at home, drunken noodles. But, I made the mistake of adding tofu to my noodle dish. Now, don't get me wrong ...I love tofu however, I don't love soft tofu I prefer firm or extra firm and this tofu was definitely soft and mushy. I could have asked before I ordered but, alas I didn't, so I was stuck with squishy meat substitute. The rest of the dish by far met my expectations, the flat thick rice noodles were springy and the tasty salty sauce wasn't too thick or thin and coated the noodles and vegetables nicely. All in all, other than the tofu fiasco (all on me, since I didn't ask), the rest or the dish was delicious and for under $20 it was a fabulous lunch read more

My husband and I came in last night to take our friend out to celebrate her birthday. They were busy, but they got us to a table right away. Once again they did not disappoint. The crab Rangoon appetizer was delicious, and the Tom Ga soup was full of fresh veggies and perfectly seasoned. The chicken salad was on point, and the drunken noodles were just the right amount of spicy and savory. I asked them to surprise my friend with a birthday cake and to put it on my bill, and they did not charge me for what ended up being a delicious dessert for her! June was our waitress, and she was extremely attentive. I drank a ton of water, but my glass hardly ever was empty because she was so on it. My cousin and friend got the Cashew Noodles and Oriental Fried Rice. Both loved their food. I was told the only vegan appetizer was the edamame. For entrees, they said the stir fry, fried rice, and some noodle dishes could be made vegan. I didn't like the limitations, but I went ahead and went with the Thai Spicy Fried Rice. THAI SPICY FRIED RICE - made vegan with extra veggies, no eggs, extra garlic. If you order with veggies (instead of tofu or meat), it includes baby corn, broccoli, and carrots. I requested spice level 4. Our server, Jason, warned me that level 4 was spicy and the house policy is that they cannot remake it if it's too spicy. He suggested I do level 3. I appreciated the warning, but advised him that I do not have an American palette. The dish was delicious! Very flavorful! NOT SPICY IN THE LEAST BIT! I was really disappointed about the lack of spice. Jason brought me some extra Thai chili sauce and it brought a nice level of heat. I would like to go back to try the Drunken Noodles and maybe some of their veggie sushi options.
