I went here a bit ago with a large group of friends and thought it was great. Normally going out with a lot of people, especially around ten can be very stressful, but this place made it easy. It's so calm and has good food; really makes for a good place to eat and talk and with friends.

I haven't been to Tumeric in years due to not having a great experience but decided to try it again. We did not start off smoothly as my husband spilled his water on the table and we couldn't find anyone to assist with cleaning it up. But it got better as the night went on. Prior to going I had looked at the menu and gotten some food suggestions. I ordered the mango lassi to drink due to reviews and it was delicious. For appetizer we got the golgappa and chicken lollipops. Really liked the green sauce with the golgappa. Chicken lollipops were delicious as well. I wanted to try a dosa so the waiter suggested the truffle masala dosa and it was delicious. My parents are from Pakistan and it reminded me of something my mom makes. I was super full by this point but had to order the butter chicken. I got it extra spicy and it was delicious. Husband got the lamb chops and they were delicious as well. We ended up taking home a lot of leftovers, but they were soo good reheated. The restaurant itself is a little funky when you first walk in. The place to wait is pretty tiny. The restaurant itself is spacious with lots of tables and a large bar. I will def go again and try some more food!

We were recommended this place by some friends and were not disappointed! The menu has sooo many options and lots of vegan/vegetarian choices too which is amazing. They had some different options than just the basics I usually get from most Indian places so we ordered quite a few things. Everything came out pretty fast and was super flavorful and delicious. The presentation was so pretty too and seemed like all the food and drinks had care and time put into it. Our server was great as well (Umesh) he was really attentive and provided great service through the whole dining experience. Definitely a hidden gem and will be returning!

Good experience overall. The service and ambience were really nice and made the place comfortable to dine in. The food was tasty and mildly spiced, which I liked

It's a solid 5 for me because even tho their a.c is down, their food tasted really good! The preparation and presentation is so beautiful. Nice and inviting ambiance. I highly recommend it! I suggest ordering extra naan because the sauce is finger licking good! Definitely coming back!

Great Indian restaurant, especially if you love spicy food! Love the chill music vibes and atmosphere inside. Even though it was a Thursday night, the restaurant was quite busy (which is always a good sign!). We had a reservation and the service was pretty fast. - Pineapple Mojito: 8/10 on the sweeter side, but not too sweet or strong - Chicken Lollipop: 9/10 absolutely yummy, melts in you - Tanjore Lamb Chop Masala: 9/10 yummy as well, comes with a lot of masala that can be paired with naan or rice - Garlic Naan: 10/10 soft, fresh, perfect amount of garlic, delicious! - Tiger Shrimp Biryani: 9/10 on the spicier side, came out fresh and soft - Double Ka Meeta: 6/10 alright, but not my favorite bread pudding

Great ambience. Okay service. Didn't wait too long. Ample parking space in the back. Imo it's quite pricey for the amount of chicken we get. But great presentation. Samosas aren't super small. I'd prefer normal size one. Overall tastes are just average. We do love the mango spicy condiment. I do like Indian restaurant addition to Delmar.

Tumeric is one of my absolute favorite Indian restaurants in St. Louis!! This restaurant is conveniently located along the Delmar Loop. They offer a lunch menu and a dinner menu, and I have gone multiple times since I moved to St. Louis. Today, I went specifically for dinner. Their dinner menu features salads, small plates, various dosa courses, entrees, breads, and drinks. While I did not order a drink today, I would recommend the Masala Chai which has an earthy flavor or the Mango Lassi which is a sweet mango flavored yogurt drink. Today I ordered my usual dish - Chicken Tikka Masala with Garlic Naan Bread. This dish was delicious and the portion size served was very generous. The flavors of the sauce, rice, and naan bread all blended very well together. The garlic naan bread was baked to perfection with the perfect combination of crispy and chewy. The chicken tikka masala sauce was very flavorful. I could taste the blended spices in the sauce as well as smell the wonderful aroma of it. This dish definitely felt like it took hours and hours of preparation to make. I was also so happy when I had leftovers to take home! Overall, I love coming here and definitely consider this restaurant as one of my favorite spots in St. Louis!

This restaurant is a hidden gem! Delicious, authentic Indian cuisine. The Garlic Naan is perfect! I personally would recommend 10/10.

We got the Cocktail Samosacocktail and I had the Tanjore Lamb Chop Masala everyone was extremely flavorful and cooked to perfection.

It is a Trojan horse for one of the best burgers in St. Louis (my wife says I'm being dramatic for calling it THE best; I say I am not NOT going back for another). We enjoyed everything we order: the pork belly burnt ends and cashew chicken wings, and a coffee & cardamom old fashioned that sounds like a personality disorder but tastes like a vibe, smoky, a touch sweet, and very drinkable year-round. The Sam Elliott burger, BBQ sauce, bacon, crunchy onions, brioche, is named for a man who has never disappointed anyone, and neither does the sandwich. And the meatloaf is NOT your grandma's brick: tender, charred at the edges, laid over silky mashed potatoes with broccolini, perhaps closer to a chop steak than a loaf in the best possible way. Vibe is farm-chic: old church pews, repurposed interior doors, a proper bar up front, plus a patio and rooftop for when the weather cooperates. Fun fact -- it's named after the blue duck Billy Madison paints in elementary school, which is a fantastic piece of trivia and tells you absolutely nothing accurate about the actual restaurant. 4.7 Stars. Picking Nits: the counter-order setup is efficient, but it sets expectations in the wrong direction for the first 90 seconds, you brace for fast-casual and instead get something considerably more ambitious. Food comes out fast once you've ordered, which is great if you're hungry and slightly jarring if you wanted a slow, lingering dinner. And the Billy Madison naming is charming trivia but entirely misleading as a vibe preview, no complaints about the actual restaurant, just the branding expectations it sets. If The Blue Duck were a character: Ron Swanson. Hear me out. If Ron ate here, he'd be suspicious of the entire experience until his first bite of protein -- the counter ordering, the repurposed doors, a burger named after a fellow mustachioed American, all of it registering as potentially too clever. Then the Sam Elliott hits his plate, he takes one bite, and the skepticism dissolves into the quiet respect of a man who has found his people. Looks rustic. Has strong feelings about meat. Secretly sophisticated -- plays saxophone in a jazz club under a fake name, builds his own furniture, would 100% approve of the farm-chic decor once the protein has spoken. Presents as simple. Isn't.

The only real warmth we encountered came from the female host; the rest of the staff delivered service that hovered somewhere between disinterested and "we're doing you a favor by being here." We kicked things off with the fried deviled eggs, which arrived neither fried nor particularly deviled -- just cold little reminders that hope is fleeting. Cocktails landed squarely in "General Public" territory. My Squatty Potty showed up lukewarm, like it had been loitering at the bar contemplating its life choices instead of making it to the table piping hot. A chicken Caesar salad was perfectly fine... if you enjoy playing hide-and-seek with the chicken. The breakfast burger came on an English muffin with what might be the most emotionally unavailable portion of hash brown casserole I've ever seen -- tiny, distant, and gone too soon. Then there's the Scream Burger. Marketed as ghost-pepper spicy, priced like it's the main event, and delivered with all the heat of a polite Midwestern handshake. Dry, bland, and somehow bold enough to charge me an extra dollar for more mayo -- because nothing says "premium burger experience" like a condiment upcharge to make it edible. My husband's Pork Pountine? Imagine fries sprinkled with a few bacon bits like confetti at a party nobody wanted to attend. We came in excited because Eat Crow in Soulard sets the bar high. Unfortunately, Crows Nest feels like it's cooking for someone driving in from Chesterfield who asked the kitchen to "tone it down." If you're craving the real deal, do yourself a favor: go to Soulard. This nest still needs a lot more feathers. And to the influencers calling this place "amazing" -- do better. The Best Dining Experience We've Had in St. Louis - Hands Down…read moreMy husband and I wanted to give our dear friends who are leaving St. Louis one last unforgettable meal from their bucket list, so I immediately recommended Peno. I used to be a regular at Rosé with the same talented Chef Pepe, and his food is truly to die for. We walked in on a beautiful day and were lucky to snag a spot in their small parking lot (parking in the area isn't the easiest, but it's worth it). Our server, Harry, made the evening even better right from the start. He had such a warm, calm, professional presence--the kind that's rare these days. We instantly remembered his name thanks to a fun Harry Potter / Harry and the Hendersons reference, and he handled everything with effortless skill. When our friends had parking trouble, Harry quickly offered helpful suggestions. Then, when it was time to order, he elevated our meal in the best way possible. My husband and I got our longtime favorite--the Roberto pizza from Rosé days--and Harry suggested adding sausage and peppers. That small tweak took something we already loved and made it 1000% better. Absolute perfection. Our friend ordered the spaghetti (her all-time favorite comfort meal), and after taking Harry's thoughtful recommendation, she declared it the best spaghetti she's ever had in her life. We finished with the cheesecake. I'm extremely picky about cheesecake, but this one did not disappoint--it was creamy, rich, and flawless. This was one of those legendary meals you remember forever. The kind where you leave thinking you could die happy. Chef Pepe's food, paired with Harry's outstanding service, made it a perfect night. If you're in St. Louis, do yourself a favor and go to Peno. You won't regret it. Thank you, Harry and team--you helped create a truly special send-off for our friends!
